English is not my first language and I really didn't understand it that well when I was playing this as a kid, but I very much still enjoyed playing this game! This was by far one of the longest and most complex games I've played on the GBA, I could only imagine how many thousands of man hours it took to get this game together, from the different sections of the town, to the dialog, and storyline. Thanks so much for this game! it was a significant part of my childhood. I also enjoyed playing the sims 2 on the PSP just as much, if you guys got to work on that as well!

Bustin' Out was a class game, as was Sims 2 on the DS (even more eccentric than Bustin' Out, with it's cow-cult and alien autopsy scenes), I remember playing both of these as a 20-something, then my much younger cousin playing too, and then my dad nabbing the console off me to play it himself and enjoying it just as much as us: it's a sign of a good game to have 3 different generations enjoy something like that.

This was the first GBA game I ever played, and possibly because of that fact still one of my favorites. Glad to see that it's finally getting some positive coverage. Or really just any coverage at all. So many people seem to just dismiss these versions without even trying them because they can't imagine how they could possibly make a Sims game work on the GBA.
I hope you'll get around to talking about the other Sims GBA games. I think the Urbz absolutely perfected everything that this game had going while trimming out some of the weaker elements. The Sims 2 on the other hand really dropped the ball in terms of gameplay (specifically the conversation system), but still had writing of a similar quality to those previous 2 games. Overall I think it equals out to a great trilogy that I always try to recommend to anyone looking for underrated GBA games.
