Thank you, Chris for sharing your beautiful music with us. This was my favorite we sang tonight. As we begin this Triduum, I wish you peace and the blessings and joy of Easter.
I, your Lord and Master, Now become your servant. I who made the moon and stars Will kneel to wash your feet. This is My commandment: To love as I have loved you. Kneel to wash each other's feet As I have done for you. All the world will know You are My disciples By the love that you offer, The kindness you show. You have heard the voice of God In the words that I have spoken. You beheld Heaven's glory And have seen the face of God. I, your Lord and Master, Now become your servant. I who made the moon and stars Will kneel to wash your feet. This is My commandment: To love as I have loved you. Kneel to wash each other's feet As I have done for you.
That is beautiful, Chris; such beauty in song reveals your deep faith, I feel. You can't 'just do' this (and other Schutte) songs, they are prayed. You do that wonderfully. A while now since I have played and sung this on Holy Thursday evening - nowhere near as competently as you! - and feeling a bit nostalgic :-( The whole Easter Triduum ('three days') collection this comes from - 'Glory in the Cross' - is sensational and a real work of art, for anyone unfamiliar with it.
Thanks for sharing how to play it in an acoustic guitar. This is very helpful in the music ministry I am in. Happy Resurrection Sunday and He is alive in you!!!
This is my favorite rendition of this beautiful song.....it is truly moving. Thank You, Jesus and thank you for your singing.

Beautiful. We're doing this one next week in Choir & Mass. You can tell I'm a Choir-geek, ha ha. Love it! God bless you all.
One of Schutte's best.

Thanks! Dan Schutte really writes wonderful melodies that are easily accessible to the assembly.
Need to know if this song can be used for my funeral. It’s my favorite
I can’t think of a reason why it couldn’t :)
