Just played this for my grandma's funeral. Probably the hardest song in the setlist, but thanks to your guidance, it went off without a hitch. Thank you Chris for your guidance in one of my toughest, but most brilliant performances of my life.
This song brings back memories of my mom.It was her favorite song as a member of Couples for Christ. It has been five years now since my beloved mom went to rest from this world. I love you mom ! Till we meet again . .
It's never too late to repent and pray for forgiveness. Jesus died on the cross so all wretches can be saved. Thank you for a beautiful version of my favourite song. God bless ❤
All my life my mother had sing this to me. I try my lord everyday for u, meditation, prayer, put on my cross and sing this during my day and lord God willing I live this truth
my sister is dying of cancer and she asked me to sing this song for her. it is stretching my picking talent... and my faith... great song of evangelism
Thank you all for your reply’s. Virginia passed away 4 years and her two daughters were holding her hands as she took one breath here and the next in heaven. The room was full of peace and an angel or two. Thank you again Chris for sharing that song.
Beautiful melody with equally beautiful words. Hopefully we are all paying attention and actively listening to him. "Here I am, Lord... I will go, Lord... if you lead me." I'm as guilty as any - sometimes I forget to listen. So I have recently started cutting a few "extra activities" out of my life so I have a little more time to do what I was created to do on this earth.
Thank you for providing simple and beautiful renditions of Catholic repertoire. It is especially helpful to choir members who cannot read music and/or those from another culture who are unfamiliar with these hymns. A true blessing, especially during this time of "social distancing" due to the COVID 19 pandemic. God bless you and your ministry!
It's interesting, I can tell that the traffic/views on my channel are about half of what they should be this time of year. Sadly, nobody needs to practice, apparently. But we will come back. I recorded three songs last night, and plan to devote even more time over the next month to getting things up there. God bless you and stay safe
Thank you, I agree. Music of ANY kind in church should be done respectfully and reverently. It should draw the congregation into that active and conscious participation, it shouldn't be entertainment and certainly not distracting. I do my best. :-)
Chris Your RUclips channel has been a source of healing for me during this Covid pandemic my anxiety has been horrible since Christmas but your singing and music videos have help heal my broken heart during this Covid I’ve lost a cousin and a good friend to non Covid issues one to complications to a bone marrow transplant another just other health issues I honestly I’m so over this Covid pandemic but your music and songs have really put a smile on my face I can listen to you everyday you are incredible thank you for your beautiful voice and song
Oh how I love your renditions of hymns. Absolutely warms my heart. I lost my husband one year ago this month, and I am still so grief stricken. Your music is soothing and beautiful. Thank you
I the lord of sea and sky I have heard my people cry All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save I have made the stars of night I will make their darkness bright Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall i send? Here I am Lord Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go Lord If You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart I the lord of wind and flame I will tend the poor and lame I will set a feast for them My hand will save Finest bread i will provide Till their hearts be satisfied I will give my life to them Whom shall i send?
Recently I had joined a church choir and I need a sample of hymn to practice. I never sung before, but this recording makes it so easy. Thank you Chris for doing this. Mark.
You have such a gentle, soothing, and truly soulful voice. I always listen to your renditions of the hymns we need to practice for choir. What a gift you have been blessed with!
Chris, you are such a blessing to those of us involved in the ministry of music. Please know that your efforts and love of music shine and are SO appreciated! God bless!
Chris, I think this is my favorite song that you sing. You have a beautiful voice that is so soothing to our ears. Your guitar playing looks so effortless. Thank You for bringing the world such wonderful music. Bless you for all that you do. We thank God for you and your music.
Chris, thanks for this. It was used as the opening hymn for my grandfather’s funeral late last year. It brings me peace and I come back to this from time to time.
Chris, I can't thank you enough for your ministry of songs. I am a new choir member, and your beautiful renditions are so helpful and inspiring. Love your voice; love the way you play. Thanks for all the intros.
Thank you Jen. I'm glad what I'm doing has been helpful to people. You can hit me up on Facebook if you like, or e-mail me at csbrunelle@msn.com of you have questions on how I'm playing something, or have a song request. I'm hoping to start recording again this week (if I don't end up going to MN). Blessings to you and your music ministers!
I just discovered you tonight. I feel blessed that I did. It is one of my family's favorites! I was looking for songs to send to my sister. Her husband had surgery today (cancer) and I sent her your rendition of Be Not Afraid. I will send her this song tomorrow. You are so talented and have just the warmest way with a song! Thank you so much! 💜🙏❤️🌈
You make me cry with this. What an ideal song for a memorial service. We will all be bawling! Lol, I wil send you something from my stim check for this tear purging tune! I kid you not, Chris!
Love your style and voice. Have heard this many times at masses. Brings back many, many thoughts and hours of my upbringing. Renews something deep inside that I still struggle with . . . but not too much of a struggle!

I will set a feast for them. My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide 'till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send?
I really enjoyed your playing and singing for this song ! I just heard this song just a little while ago from Collin Raye, and I have to say, it moved me to tears. Sooo,... I've been working on this song for my church, it is a great great message ! Again, your version is awesome !

Thanks. :-) But I actually don't know. I just use the leadsheet and do what makes sense to me (after 3 decades of playing these songs in church). Wish I had a better answer
This is one of my favorite catholic songs. Thank you for doing this. I was hoping that you would. I Am The Bread Of Life by Suzanne Toolan is another favorite of mine.
Hi Chris, might I use this lovely recording in an online service of the United Reformed Church here in the UK? We've got the requisite OneLicence and, of course, would credit you in the Order of Service. Many thanks as ever, Andy Braunston.
I’m just using the lead sheet that’s provided for the song by OCP. The picking patterns and a few little nuances are mine but I didn’t stray from the chords that were provided. You can find it here: cdn.ocp.org/shared/pdf/preview/30100360.pdf

Thanks so much, Katie. I'm really glad I can help you. I'm not sure if I've done "You Are Mine" yet (right now I'm in the middle of putting up 3 new ones). I think I have 200 or so up already.....always doing more. And I love taking requests. Peace to you
Well it could be used for that. When I do this song I like to make sure I can do the whole thing, and if it's entrance I probably can't get through all of the verses before the priest is on the altar waiting. Also, it's a little slower than I like to do for entrance. Generally, you want your entrance song to be something that speaks of Gathering the community of Christ together to pray. it's why there are so many songs like "Gather Us In" "Gather Your People" "Here At This Table" "All Are Welcome", etc. One interesting thing about "Here I am Lord" that not too many people realize is that the verses are written as God talking to US, and the verses are OUR response to God.
No I'm just playing off the lead sheet that you can get from OCP. I've been doing church music since this song first came out, so I'm pretty adept and different picking patterns and all that.

Love it! love it! Thanks Chris!
Another good one!! This one takes me back to my college days and services at the Newman Center.
Beautiful! And thank you for not ditching the interlude between the verse and refrain. As a flutist, it drives me nuts when people do that to me.
I was thinking of flutists everywhere when I recorded this 😇

Is there a strum pattern rather than plucking
You could base the strum pattern on eighth notes much in the same way the finger picking is based on eighth notes.
Is it Communion song for Mass?
can you please sing you are mine, by david haas
