I bought some of these the day they became available and I am really liking them so far. My only complaint is that they don't have a true cool red. I remember reading an article where Golden stated that they put these paints in the little tubs instead of the squeeze bottles they use for their other fluid paints because they work best if you stir them first.
Are you able to get them locally? I had to order them online from an art shop in St. Louis LOL. I have two art stores by me and none of them have started stocking it, we're so slow here haha. Totally agree about the cool red, hopefully they come out with some more colors in the future! If you don't mind me asking, what do you normally paint with? Have you used these with any other paints? Also, that makes 100% sense about mixing these! I remember when I opened one of the greens it looked like it just came back from home depot haha. I'll get used to it eventually hahah. I'm just a giant messy baby LOL Thank you so much for watching and your comment too!
@@MaileLani I ordered mine online from Blick. They have them in the store closest to me, but that would be about an hour drive. None of the stores closer to me have them right now. I mostly paint with watercolor and ink, and occasionally gouache. I haven't tried acrylic gouache though; I had been debating getting some and decided on these instead. I have used these over watercolor paintings and they work very well.
The pots remind me of gaming miniature paints. The liquid consistency and coverage do too. Not surprising that these settle and separate out. Really nice looking paints and swatches. I don't know if these are available in the UK yet, but shoot, I have a lot of gouache and acrylic gouache lying idle. I might want to add to the pile, but I don't need to!
Hey, thanks for the review of these paints. I just purchased the pop set on Amazon and it DOES come with Titanium White. I can’t wait to get these and try them out myself!
Thanks for making this video! I'm interested in buying these but I've been waiting to see what people say about these vs holbein's acryla gouache because I own quite a bit of that paint
Hahah I totally get that I have soooo much paint, it's terrible but also glorious LOL. I'll def have a video up comparing the two in the next little bit bc I'm also super interested! The one thing I've noticed already is that this stuff is way harder to wash off the pallet once dry than the Holbein. I like to start with a clean pallet for each painting, so I just need to remember to use pallet paper or something with these haha. Thank you so much for watching!!
Yessss I def need to do a side by side with them and inspect LOL! When I get to it I’ll post another video about it! I love watching comparison videos so I’ll have to make a good one to do myself justice LOL
They do, but it's not that bad honestly. It's just like most any other paint that I've had! I'm not super sensitive to smells or anything though. I hope that helps!
I’ve played a lot more with them since I did this video and basically only use these paints for my canvas paintings now. Totally worth it! Ty for watching!!
Hello Maile! Thanks for trying our paints... everyone struggles with "Pyrrole" here at the factory, here's what I found on YT: ruclips.net/video/P7eRSC7ieP4/видео.html (pronunciation)
Thank you for making such lovely paints! And for the pronunciation LOL! Also, side note, but the Pyrrole orange Williamsburg oil paint is my all time favorite color of yours. It's perfect

Hi! It would be interesting to see how these compare to acryla gouache.

Do these paints smell??? I’ve heard some people complain about the smell. And that one would need some pretty intense ventilation when using them.

omggg they look sooo gooood! they squeeze bottles like liquatex cuz im gonna mix the colors up smh

Maile Lani :
Some people have been reporting a strong odor with this paint.
Was that something you noticed while working with it ?
I didn't notice anything that I can remember honestly! Sorry if that isn't more helpful haha
