When Daniela started studying guitar she was 9 years old studying classical piano and 5 years old studying saxophone. Paulina had 6 years of classical piano when she started studying drums and Alejandra had 5 years of classical piano when she started studying bass. Simultaneously with the study of instruments they dedicated themselves to studying Harmony and Composition at an age when 90% of humanity is trying to learn how to chew gum without swallowing it. Divine talent, study, discipline, passion, extreme dedication and parental support. They are precious and everything they achieve will be on their own merits.

    *Chapter Four Backstory:*
*P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C.* - The decimals between the letters mean nothing. The girls (DPA were teenagers when they wrote & recorded QotMS album) did it because it look cool.
The laughter in the beginning was Pau. The "rollercoaster" scream during the instrumental break was Dany.
*Hunter* - As said in other comments. The song introduces a new character. In a earlier song. The Queen wanted to take the throne of this character. But this *WELL KNOWN* character told the Queen *TO RUN CAUSE IT'S HERE FOR HER.*
*Side note:* Ale has sang lead on *Hunter & Red Hands Never Fade* when Dany is a little under the weather.
*Lunario Concert:* This show was open to the public. Lunario CDMX has a good size main stage (with seats like Teatro Metropolitan). Plus Lunario has two smaller halls. This show was in one of those smaller halls that maybe holds < 200 people. But the show at Whiskey A Go-Go was (2019) was closed to the public. That show was a reward for a donor (at a certain level) for The Warning's Kickstarter Campaign for funding the studio time to record QotMS album. It's the concert where their encore song was Metallica's *Atlas Rise* cover. They put this show on their Patreon page. A year later. They uploaded it to RUclips. *The Lunario concert* was there QotMS CD release show. At that time The Warning was still an independent band & self released QotMS album. That show went straight up on RUclips.
Guess I'm done for now. Somebody else can fill in what I missed & what I got wrong.

This was not a patreon only show but a regular concert. The special thing was of course that it was the album premiere. But there were no special conditions for the ticket sales.
The perk for patreons was that they got to see the professional recording of the concert several months before it was released to the general public.

they did try to remove the "hey! hey! hey!" parts but they kept saying them so put them back in...

I agree. It would be awesome to do all the full shows. Theatro is obviously most popular and is a nice contrast to this one, but the bar shows are great too, though not often as good quality audio/video as Theatro.

  • @SixFootTurkey_

Here in Chapter 4 you can hear the strain and faltering of Dany's voice. This show was the hardest they'd ever pushed themselves on stage before. Keep in mind CDMX sits at an elevation of 7350ft, which is 2100ft higher than Denver for an American comparison!
During recent tours, on days where Dany needs some rest from vocals, Ale will help by singing lead vocals for either Red Hands Never Fade or Hunter. I really like the idea of Ale singing Hunter since it's the only song in the QOTMS story that isn't being told by the perspective of the main character. Having a different voice helps reinforce that.
One more thing of note: Chapter 4 was debuted live! Chapter 3 had released a week before the Lunario concert, Chapter 2 a couple weeks before that, and Chapter 1a week before that. But the full album released on the day of the show and so the audience had not heard Chapter 4 yet. It must have felt amazing to be in that crowd and hear the story close with The End after all that anticipation!

  • @WaldoKitty

    *Hunter*
*Hunter* introduces us to another (3rd?) character in the QOTMS rock novella... if you have followed the QOTMS album, we know about the Queen, her love interest, and her love interest's interests... this character Dany is portraying is a much stronger and foreboding entity than those we have seen so far...
the driving primal predatory bass line that Ale plays to move the song along is certainly a crowd favorite... punctuate that bass line with Pau's drums and yeah... fear and foreboding with spurts of hurried panic...
in newer renditions of this song, they did a bit of a change in this song from the original... toward the end, Pau is doing the low voice saying "I'm coming back; There's no escape" instead of using a backing track like they have in the past... she repeats this phrase several times, getting louder each time, until she ends the run with one of her known screams "THERE'S NO ESCAPE!!!"...
Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and this one in *Hunter* ...
Fun Fact: Pau's home/practice drum setup has 14" and 16" floor toms... in concert she uses 16" and 18" floor toms...

Dany’s guitar has a sustainiac system in it for this concert… in the end, all of the soft sustained synth like lines during the piano intro are dany on guitar, and even her leads then use the sustainiac pickup system (like guitar feedback but better controlled and without the need for amp volume)

    *Survive*
the first time i heard *Survive* was watching their 2017 TEDx video... they played 3 songs there and spoke to the audience between each song... *Survive* was their closer and that jam session at the end was a wildfire to watch... actually, you should watch both of their TEDx sessions, 2016 and 2017, if you haven't seen them yet... each one is maybe 30 minutes long with 3 songs and DPA/TW speaking between the songs... what they talk about is enlightening and very informative...
*Survive* is off their 2017 album "XXI Century Blood"... it is obviously about a relationship going/gone bad... some think of a boy/girl relationship but it could be about any relationship... especially a relationship where partyA is telling partyB that partyB won't make it without partyA in their lives... to me, this sounds very much like it was inspired from the failed negotiations with those labels "that wanted to change them for the wrong reasons"... i can see those label people trying to get them to sign by trying to scare them with words like that...
the album's title song has a OMV that really tells a story... it, too, is a must see if you haven't seen it yet... it was nominated for a few awards and won several of them 😹

There were hiccups with the show, sometimes with the mix, sometimes with the playing and singing, but no one can deny they completely owned the spotlight in that moment and conveyed the message in the art they created. I just hope they continue to have vision of what that art needs to be that is bigger than any studio or the stuffed shirts that they employee there. Success isn't measured in who you work for. I want history to remember Republic and Lava because they once produced The Warning, not the other way around.
