Interior led lights is always a nice upgrade. that color white is better for monotone interiors imho. the terracotta pops better with a warmer light. if they make 4000-4500k led bulbs, it would be perfection and still pull of the updated look your going for. great job as always

Wheel choice has to be gold or bronze , but definitely 19’s if not keep the ones on there and do them over in a matte bronze 🥵

Hi Matt, sure you thought about it already and plenty others suggested it: Let this channel be a Porsche restoration channel. Move the other content to a 2nd channel and build that out for the Beamers, the Audis and what not.
My channel is way too small to have a second at this point lol.
To get a very nice interior look I suggest installing a 991 steering wheel, the hub thread should be the same and they sell small harnesses to get the air bag and buttons to work
Steering wheel eventually yes. But lots of other fixed first.
I’m generally a fan of your builds (not you, truck) but I fear that these lighting “upgrades” will really cheapen the finished product. And I’m including the taillights, the cool white interior lighting, and the black ring on the headlights in my critique.
What about the Morimoto Tails instead?

I replaced all of my interior bulbs on my e34 535 and it improved it immensely.

Buy yourself a set of puddle lights for the doors with the Porsche logo and crest. I added them to my 996 and Cayenne.
Love the build, but I can't stand the white LEDs on anything. Feels very commercial/cold/sterile. I am also a lamp>overhead light person - so just preference at the end of the day. 997 looks great though! Can't wait to see more of the build

Great stuff. I updated the lighting on my 996 interior as well and it does make a difference. Are you going to do the same with the outside lights, like the side markers and license plate lights?

IMHO that white light makes it look cheap. You should have bought new interiors leds with 2700K colour (warm white). That white light makes it look like a neon lit MacDonald’s kitchen area.

I know you're going enjoy driving this one. Black rings on the headlights is choice. There must be a reason you have popped the rear quater glass in, seems like a 10 minute job.

Those led in highs are going to have a trash beam pattern unfortunately the chips need to be located facing 9/3 o’clock to be proper beam. Unfortunately these are the pitfalls with cheaper led that do not use a clockable base.

Matt. Does the new LED lights come with the resistors? I tried to do this on my GMC duramax and they kept dimming unless I hit the rear over head light switch. Apparently they require resistance.
I think they have chips built in. I've had zero issues with the 996 or 997.

I replaced my 928 lights with LED's, did you have low voltage errors. I did with my taillights.
No errors that I've seen
