Although only six years old, this tiny dosae angadi is creating waves in Malleswaram for its take on the Davanagere benne dosae, smeared with a spicy red chutney to accommodate Bengaluru’s penchant for a piquant punch. My good friend, Jimmy Amrolia, and I visit here for an early Friday lunch, where we make quick work of a buttery, crackling crisp, benne masala dosae followed by an open pudi dosae. We wash it down with a cup of Hunkal Heights filter coffee at a kiosk a few meters away from Malleshwaram Dose Corner. Hope you enjoy this dosae outing; take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating!

Hi Sir, I started loving and enjoying my food after seeing the way you enjoy every bite of it. Thank you
For people from Rajajinagar, it's always a dilemma between Basaveshwarnagar Benne Dose Corner and Malleshwaram Dose Corner when it comes to Davangere style dosas

I have tasted many times the coffee in Hunkal in Malleswaram, good and strong coffee.surely after your visit here the place will be crowded.. that's the charisma of Kripal sir
Kripal .. it's LAZY cloudy Saturday morning... it's crime you post such videos for people who have not had breakfast .. come on some mercy.
But I loved this video ... it's my regular place to visit ...
Visited this place for benne dosa on my visit to Bangalore . Was blown away by the taste. Too good. Thanks Kripal Amanna for introducing us to such hidden gems.

Amazing Friend's recommendation that gives insights of smaller places that serves authentic but localized Dosa 🙂 will surely check this place thanks to you Kripal and your friends cheers
One word true friendship great cheers.... ❤️❤️❤️
mouth watering benne dosai and wonderful coffee great combo kripal sir 😊another lovely video from you
Just couldn’t continue watching beyond 7:42
Great vlog. I knew from the initial expression of Kripal that he didn't enjoy the coffee a great deal and 7.5 score substantiate that. Very knowledgeable friend in Mr. Jimmy added color to the show
Best dosas i have ever eaten
Needless to say I'm a fan of your videos...they are brilliant In this case however I noted 2 unsavoury things :
1) The dosa tawa is not cleaned ...you can see dried old batter sticking to the sides of the tawa.
2) The quantity of potato palya is very less in the dosa. They can give a more generous dollop of masala surely ?
It's been awhile, wish you do cooking video for a change, it has always been spot on to piquant terms!
excellent video 👌
I love to watch ur eating style😍it’s mouth watering
Kripal, I like the way you subtly press the restaurateurs to share the recipes, which otherwise, they won't.
"Do you add this? May be that? Also some of something? May be a tad of that?"....etc etc..😄
Poor fellows, they have no option but to confirm or deny...
Many a times, with your questions, you also make one feel as if, you are instructing them what to do and what not to do...😀
That's another dimension of your food review skills...!!
I second that
He tried this at vidyarthi bhavan and it didn't work!
Both places I have been visiting since 5 years. Please also visit Paakashala which a few steps from Hunkal heights..

As a fellow Davangerian , staying in Blore, ( probably tried almost every Dvg benne dosa hotel) this was the only place in Blore which sticked to the authentic Davangere style. Not perfect as the one back home, but whenever I miss Benne Dosa, this is always my go to. So people of Blore if u can’t travel to Davangere, u know where to go😊
Kripal ! Zabardast.
Dear sir...just read abt from where originally benne dosae came...and I came to know that shanthappa benne dose hotel is the one who started this recipe...earlier it was made using raging and then switched to rice...this hotel is in davangere...pls make video on this if possible
Sir your dose narration is very very good and mouth watering
That benne aroma OMG ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Both place are best. I had been there Coffee is good
Mr. Kripal.....love your dosa joints journeys. May i please request you to let the joint owners know that using benne lite isn't benne. Many guys use amul lite butter as opposed to the regular amul butter. Amul lite isn't good. You know about it 😀. If you can educate the restaurant owners about this....it would be great.
Gud Mrng sir, for Me the best masala dosa and coffee is all in Bengaluru, missing my dosa. ♥️♥️♥️☕
Finally finally finally, the wait! very long wait is finally over🍺

While you eating my mouth is watering
Something about the bennedose of Kottureshwara that is always missing in most Benne Dose joints of Bangalore.
Kriplana sir awesome 😘😘😘 back to form 🙏🙏🙏
1st dose lover 😍
Thank you, Ajay.
Hi .. i know your command on English is very nice, but when someone asked you “Mind if we take a photo with you”, your answer should have been “Not at all”, instead of “Yeah Sure”.. because your answer really meant you mind them taking a photo with you and really agreeing to it.. Pun intended 😏
You know it's a Bengaluru vlog when the host mentions the word "integration" in context of dose and chutney!
Very tasty Dosa 😘😘😘 Kripal Amanna sir please visit JP Nagar for the best food in Bangalore City 🤩🤩🤩 God's have Masala Dosa and coffee in JP Nagar 😍😍😍
sir is this Benne dosa relatable to original Davangere benne dosa?
Welcome to jabalpur madhya pradesh sir please come
Please check out Siddappa Hotel near Kanteerava Stadium and Namma SLN at Basavangudi. Amazing idli+dosa and kick ass chutney 👌🏼
You must def try the ones from basweshwarnagar. The dose here is cooked on woof fire. So the taste and crisp is quite different to the ones cooked on the gas fire.
The Same chef and partner of Basaveahwar nagar dose corner has opened in Malleshwaram
Ahhh ahhh .. Burppp ahhh 😂😂
Frankly Speaking Authentic Recipes Are Not To Be Changed And Are To Be Savoured In Their Original Form, Applying Kempu Chutney On Benne Dosa Is A Big No No For Me..

Good morning dear Kripal 🙏 A special hello to your cyclist 🚴♀️ friend 👋 Kripal’s ideal combo Benne Dosa + Coffee ☕️ ( Azun kai Pahije Bhau ) As usual you do spend quality time with your fans and patrons 👌 Owner has an Unique name ; Bindeshwaraiah 👌 He looks more of a “Body builder” rather than a “Chef” or “Architect” 😀 I have never seen such a preparation of Dosa ; looks like it’s distinctive to the style of Davangare 👏🏼👏🏼 Whoa it’s smeared with butternut then Kempu chutney and Palya 😋 This actually calls for an ASMR bite as the exterior of the Dosa has a good crunch 👌 As usual the Kempu chutney has been dissected to the last ingredient by the maestro KVA 🙏 I am surprised despite the fact that you don’t handle spicy food so well you still go in for the next bite like a true Foodie 😀 Nothing to beat a spicy Green chutney. Today for evening snacks we are planning to have Ghee Rawa Masala Dosa with Spicy chutney. Will try to make this Davangare style Dosae some day in the future ( obviously no ways could we match the authentic one but no harm in trying ) 😀 Loved the Unique double roasted ; Open Benne Masala Dosa with the addition of the podi 😋 Thanks for a brilliant articulation of the texture and flavour profile 👏🏼👏🏼 I agree with you the authentic DBMD dosae would always be the winner as compared to the variant 👌 Your friend Jimmy is indeed candid 😀😀 I heard that the Kotha’s coffee from Coorg tastes fabulous( haven’t tried it thus far ) I am sure you would have Kripal . Enjoying your Vlog now with a cup of hot pepper Rasam 😀 Your coffee ☕️ looks awesome and glad you enjoyed it . That was a candid comment that you feel still a tad hungry 😀😀 Thoroughly enjoyed this super awesome Vlog . Quite a unique Dosa ( virtual) experience 👌👌 Take care , Stay safe and Healthy, Happy Eating and God bless ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He looks more of a body builder than a chef or architect....what are you even talking. Dont you realize how offensive that it....who even asked you🙄
@@TojiFushigoroWasTaken I don’t know if you are regular to this channel or else . Trust me my intent has always to maintain the absolute decorum without hurting the sentiments of the creator or the digital family . When I mentioned “Body Builder “ it was in good stead without demeaning or body shaming the owner of such a coveted restaurant. It was my choice of expression. Wishing you a wonderful day ahead and thanks for your candid review on my comments 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Hi Rajesh, this was a wonderful adaptation of the Davanagere benne dosae suited to Bengaluru's palate. The kempu chutney certainly livens things and the heat also helps cut through the fatty lusciousness of the butter. Certainly something worth emulating in your kitchen adventures. Have a great weekend.
@@FoodLoversTV Morning Kripal . Trust me the Davanagere Benne Dosa preparation simply blew my mind . Will do a recce to check if I could find something similar in Mumbai ( I doubt ) ! Anyways wishing you a wonderful and happy Sunday 👍
Disappointed with the drastic drop in quality of this dose corner. Maybe due to the sudden increase in footfalls after your visit, they are unable to cope up with the demand. Yesterday had visited and right from butter to the palya and chutney, everything was in short quantity. Sad since this was one of my favourites. Sincerely hope they get back to their old self...
Nithin on leave?
Open in mysore please
How do u compare this with the ones in Davangere...in Bangalore everyone has his own version..original version..
I have mentioned it in the video, Manjesh. The application of the kempu chutney here makes it somewhat different, also a few other nuances in the chutney, etc..
He didn't like coffee 😀 poor guy was pestering him..he didn't pay much attention 😎
We enjoy watching your show, but this one is a miss for us, and in fact we will not be eating anything from Malleswaram Dose Corner after seeing them make it. Pretty disgusting to see the cook not using any utensils and using his bare hands to add chutney and palya to the dose, and bare hands to stack the dose to the plates. Glad I watched them make it, because now I cannot unsee it. I suspect pretty much all restaurants are like this in Bangalore, but seeing it is a turn off for me. Wish you would talk to these owners about some basic hygiene when you review these eateries.
Appreciate your perspective, however, just because they use their bare hands doesn’t make it unhygienic. Much of the process that goes into the making of preparations likes these involves the tactility of touch allowing the maker not just speed when churning out hundreds of these, but also providing a sense of feedback to the maker on various aspects of the components and cooking. I personally do not worry much because after all most Indian food is cooked on high heat or over a long duration. Even in this specific case, the cooks hands are subject to high temperatures over the tava, rendering it rather sterile. If one were to rule out eating any dish where the cook has used his/her hands, one would have to miss much of what Indian cuisine would have to offer. Be it a kebab or a dose or a roll or idli or vade or anything else for that matter where there is the involvement of bare touch either before, whilst or after the cooking. Happy eating! 😋
What makes you think that gloved hands are cleaner?
A cook with a gloved hand could get the gloves dirty and continue with the same gloves .After all ,anyone would frequently wash while working with bare hands But a gloved hand may not be washed at all till it is removed at the very end
@@dcmhsotaeh Agree with your view even though I did not mention gloves at all, and was referring to them using utensils instead of bare hands.
@@FoodLoversTV Your quick response is appreciated! As you can tell, not only do we enjoy your vlogs, but also pay close attention to such details in your reviews. The fact that you show it as they make it, and how you always pay and don't accept a free meal in exchange for a good review elevates your channel and integrity to my eyes. I will continue watching as you post more for sure, and perhaps enjoy eating at some of the outstanding spots when I am in Bangalore.
Cleanliness is a casually here
Thanks for your honest opinion
