Spiderman... "The Death of Jean DeWolff", "The Lost Years". Batman... "The many Deaths of Batman", "Venom". Marvel... "Daredevil and The Punisher: Child's Play", "Generation Next (AOA)". DC... "Kingdom Come". Vertigo... "Daytripper". Other... "And then Emily was gone". Those from the top of my head. Nice video, I will try to put my claws on "Maus", it looks very interesting.
Another great list! I followed your links (thanks for providing them by the way) and ordered Kraven’s Last Hunt, and God Loves, Man Kills. Daredevil looks like a must have and I’ve been tip-toeing around picking up Lonewolf and Cub for years. I’d add Kingdom Come to the list though. Might be my favorite read in Comics. Solid list though. Sandman is another I need to pick up!
My top 10 are The Dark Knight Returns, 300, Daredevil Man Without Fear, Robin A Hero Reborn, Batman vs Predator, The Long Halloween, Sin City The Hard Goodbye, Batman Death In the Family, Infinity and Batman Year One.
That’s a solid list Asten! I’m getting a hint that you may be primarily a DC fan! I’ve always been more of a Marvel fan, but I love the Bat, as any child of the 80s should! The best part of it is, there are so many great stories out there, it is just impossible to give all of the credit due when putting together a top 10 list!
@@CoMoComicBooks Agree with you there. I grew up on Batman, but have become a very big Marvel fan since the MCU films and diving into that more now. But fan of both.
In my younger days I had been accused of being a Marvel Zombie. I’m happy to say that I have branched out and found so many great things from other publishers out there.
Thanks for the shout-out! I'm continuing to enjoy your channel and am looking forward to future content. Some great picks on your list-- particularly Maus and Watchmen. Most people have heard of Watchmen, but Maus is absolutely one of the best things I've read in my 40+ years of collecting comics. Keep the good stuff coming!
You’re very welcome! Thanks again for watching and engaging in our growing community! I’ve been dabbling with doing a list of GNs that are not your standard superhero or Big 2 lists. So many great independent or non-superhero reads out there: Blankets, Bone, Pride of Baghdad, Maus, Mouse Guard, Essex County, etc.
Love what you’re doing ... you’re making some of the most informational content on RUclips ... keep up the good work ... would love to tune into a live podcast
Thank you so much for the kind words Marcus! We’re working on getting some live streams together. What kind of content would you like to see in a livestream?
Not putting any of these books down, but I’d like to see a top 10 list of books that do not garner the attention they deserve. Watchmen and the sort are always go-to’s on everyone’s top ten but what about books like shade the changing man, the crow, Zot!, starman, Kirby’s fourth world, Miracleman, American Flagg, usagi yojimbo, etc.
There are definitely a ton of quality stories out there and no top 10 list will ever be able to capture all of them. Certain stories are always on these lists due to their overall impact and influence to the medium. Watchman is always on these lists because it is the best example of the destruction of the modern superhero. Just because Watchman gets the nod, doesn’t mean that MiracleMan, where Moore first began his examination of the superhero, is not a great story. All that said, a Top 10 list of graphic novels you typically won’t find on a Top 10 list, would be a fun piece of content!
Nice list. I have read almost all of these as they came out. I’m not really a TPB guy, I prefer to have individual issues. This is evident by the fact I have over 43,000 individual issues at my house since I started reading in 1977, lol. Like I said you have a nice list and some diverse publishers and genres. That being said, Don Rosa’s Magnum Opus, “The Life and Times Of Scrooge McDuck”. This story needs to be read by everyone and owned at least in TPB form. This can be reread multiple times and if you are Disney Duck fan, this GN is an absolutely must have.
CoMo Comic Books Thats awesome!!! You are a lucky man for sure. If you have any way of getting those “Life and Times” stories sold originally in the Anders And & Co. comics from Denmark I would be highly interested in purchasing them my friend.
Thanks Brett! It was SUCH a hard choice. I adore Year One, but I just couldn’t in good faith give it the nod over DKR. Thanks for watching and taking the time to drop a comment!

Maus is nothing short of a masterpiece!
Thanks for the tips 👍 i have been toying with the idea of reading Sandman for a while and finally i have ordered the trade paper back!
Great Steve! The first volume easily has 3 of my all time favorite moments in all of comics in it! You’re in for a treat!!!
Beautiful graphic novels! And the way you describe everything is enticing. It confirms the good value of the novels. Double thumbs up!
Thanks DFD! I appreciate you watching and I’m glad you found value in the content!
Great list of trades. Many good stories there.
Thanks Crime Alley! So many more where those came from too!

Live auctions + or just long conversation with others. You and Gary (the comic guy) have become my favorite. Keep it up

First one up lone wolf....immediate thumbs up
Right? We must share the good news of Lone Wolf and Cub!

Don is such a great artist and a nice guy! We see him every year at Planet Comicon Kansas City.

Have you seen any of the EC homages he’s done? Who would have thought that the ducks and EC mashed up so well!
CoMo Comic Books I have seen some. Amazing for sure.
How about a list of one shot/single issue comics from DC, Marvel, IDW, Black Horse for those of us with limited 💵!
Hey! Thanks for watching! That definitely an idea I can put on my list!
great list, sir.
Thank you Mannie! I’m glad you enjoy it! Thanks for tuning in!
I agree with every word you said regarding Miller and his work with Batman
Thanks Brett! It was SUCH a hard choice. I adore Year One, but I just couldn’t in good faith give it the nod over DKR. Thanks for watching and taking the time to drop a comment!
Dear, Plz share another list of canonical (academic interested) full Graphic Novels ......
An interesting idea! Thanks for watching!
