- Lakers have been linked to the former Toronto Raptors player, Gary Trent Jr. Recent Lakers News has the Lakers out on Trent and makes it seem as if Lakers Nation have no way to aquire him. Lakers have to pull off some salary dumps and free up roster spots from a Lakers Trade but it's very possible to get done.

I think the Lakers need to stay Pat and not overspend let everyone get back healthy I’m speaking on Vando being 100% and let’s see how our new rook Knecht fit with all the other pieces the only player to pick up in free agent to move the needle is Kyle Kuzma.

@@notqt1367 That’s a reach how we’ve seen Dinwiddie perform in the playoffs with the Mavs. Trent Jr can’t be worst then Reaves who shot 29% from 3 in the recent Denver series. Knock it off Dlo and Reaves were terrible in the playoffs…
@@OvertIntelligence Dlo and Reaves are both the 3rd and 4th options on offense. Losing them would be a big loss. Dlo provides good playmaking and 3pt shooting. He does lack defensive ability, so does Reaves at time. Reaves improved as a playmaker, but he did struggle at times on the offensive end. Gary Trent isn’t a reliable defender and playmaker. His shot selection is very poor and his overall decision-making is also poor. I do like the Dinwiddie. He’s a great playmaker, defender, and has a very high IQ. We can’t just blame Dlo and Reaves for the playoffs, we had coach Ham trying to cook on his clipboard. Under Ham, Dinwiddie had his worst season, but when he was on the mavs he played very well within their system. Maybe the problem is the coach rather than the players.

Lauri will probably go for multiple himself and then want at least 1 for walker and probably the same for sexton would be amazing to get those guys but we likely don't have the assets to get em
@jamal9116 I'm hoping Rob can work his magic with the jazz like he did with the russ trade when the jazz wanted one 1st rd pick each for vando and beasley but rob was able to get both players with just one 1st rd pick

GTJ streaky shooter but not very good defensively. He was asking Raps for $25 mil x 4 years. That was way too much.

If you wax that upper lip you can get rid of that peach fuzz for good.
If they trade Dlo, Rui and Gabe for zach it frees up about 3 mil then you can dump hayes and that should free up enough to get zach and GTJ or you could snag torrey craig from the bulls and if they give up a first with zach you got 3 and can make a move for a walker kessler and you have 3 1st and 4 2nds to negotiate with...you do that then resign spence on a vet min u got a pretty good team

If they waive Hayes i believe they still got to pay him unless another team claims him off waivers which means the salary cap stays the same for the lakers and they wont have enough for the mle and why would the bulls give up a first with zach they're doing the lakers a favor also by taking dlo and gabe
@chuey799 I'm pretty sure once you waive a player the money is off your books if another team picks them up but if not that then they could always trade him to a rebuilding team for the money and the bulls have been reported to give a first with zach but now more recently it's 2 seconds so I'd say if you give then seconds or a swap they could possibly give up a 1st. Rob got rid of russ and got back multiple pieces that got us to the wcf for only 1 first which nobody thought could happen, this also gives them movable contracts for more assets and expiring contracts as well they move on from zach like they want can move those 3 guys or get money off their books
@jamal9116 bringing in zach would be a really risky move tho cause of his health, the lakers already have 2 injury prone stars and they would bringing in another one, I know Bron and AD played more than 70games this past season but will they be able to do it again this next one
@chuey799 that's fair I personally believe zach isn't as injury prone as others the season before this past one he played 77 games and the one before like 67. He's only played less than 60 games 4 times in his career and this year he didn't come back because we wasn't tryna get sent to Detroit. He'd also have less of an offensive load playing with the best offensive players he's ever had in his career jus my opinion tho.
