Woah. I was not expecting this. I've been having a blast following your channel during the quarantine, but never expected to hear you talk about a game I designed. Anyways, thanks for the shout out, all the great content you have here and all the awesome games you've made. Cheers!

It's been a while since I've played this, and I have been playing Aeon's End more recently. If I recall correctly, you get a small mastery boost from defeating a boss's champion that was revealed in front of you. I like this a lot; sometime's in Aeon's End we'll draw a particularly nasty boss minion at the start of the match, and it's really hard to deal with using starting deck spells. Several turns later we are way behind and finally defeat the minion, but we don't get a proximate bonus for doing so. It can actually reinforce the sense of hopelessness to not receive anything for getting through that part of the match.
I also like the mechanic that you reveal an enemy champion for each player in Shadows of Salvation (again, if I'm recalling the game correctly). This creates a new opportunity for collaboration, as I might choose to kill the champion in front of my partner, both because it's nastier but maybe also to give her mastery, so that she can pull off a more powerful move, etc. The order in which you defeat things and the repercussions of doing so are richer here than they often are in Aeon's End.

If you love the Mercenary mechanic, wait ‘till you get to play any cards as a Mercenary. The new cards are fantastic!

Glad to hear you liked the game! If you haven't had a chance, I recommend playing with our professional audio track that reads the battlebook story to you! www.stoneblade.com/battlebook

I know you said that "Into the Horizon" is the last expansion for this story cycle, but I'd love to have more Shards! When can we expect more of this amazingly balanced and rich game? Thanks for making it!

I love the simultaneous play in the co-op. I think it underlines the strength of shards of infinity in that it is a very open and flexible game.
