BBW Body Mists review: • ALL BATH & BODY WORKS ...
Disclaimer - I am not a gourmand lover and do not enjoy the signature/typical sweet style of bath&bodyworks fragrances. My fragrance collection is centered around luxury fragrances and niche fragrances.
I enjoy challenging myself to find affordable fragrances that smell expensive where it would be unexpected so I spent months sniffing and sampling virtually everything at Bath&BodyWorks in preparation for this Semi Annual Sale. At this point, I've smelled 90% of the scents they currently carry locally and decided to blind-buy several scents that weren't locally available so that I could sift through it all and let you guys know what really smells high end/ luxurious.
Most of the items I purchased this year are candles. Last year I focused on body mists (see video linked above)
In my honest opinion, very few of mists and fragrances truly smell expensive except Rose, and that is the only one I personally still use. A few more scents that smell expensive leaning are mentioned in this video.
I think the most frustrating thing about being a perfume enthusiast is that you’ll go well out of your way to smell unique or expensive, but you’ll get the most compliments from a Bath and Body Works body spray. Happens to me all the time. 🤦♀

I purchased YSL Libre a couple of months ago and already had Cloud Nine, I decided to layer them one day and OMG, the combo is just magical, I got numerous compliments that day and the combo is now my signature scent. I have been following you for about 2 yrs now and I really, really enjoy your videos. We have very similar tastes in fragrances. I always appreciate your fragrance descriptions and reviews, you have not steered me wrong!

Rose is my absolutle favorite, too. They did Rose very well, not a powdery rose, but a more tart smell like you actually just took a whiff of a fresh bloomed rose.
more BBW videos would be great! would love to see your list of scents that smell high end . for me it’s One in a Million, Into the Night, Snowflakes & Cashmere.
There's a seasonal one called Snowflakes & Cashmere I really love. Mostly vanilla, but so comforting.

I love snowflakes and cashmere. I layer it with clinique, my happy, cocoa and cashmere. I'm thinking about layering it with gentle fluidity gold.
The wicked vanilla woods is a favorite of mine in body care. Love Sweet whiskey in body care too. Plus the whipped rose vanilla. Those three are probably my absolute favorites.

I love expensive perfumes but I also adore B&BW’s body care. It’s my night time treat😀 Recently I also started to layer B&BW with perfumes. And I love their candles!
My favourite body care/mist scent recently is Emerald mist! It smells expensive, like a niche perfume. For my nose it’s a mix of pear, Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt and BR540😀

Right now I’ve been doing a lot of layering with B & B Works mists, lotions and body washes with my favorite fragrances! Into the night, Rose are two I layer with! Love the video!!

Love the Coconut Sandalwood candle and hand soap!! I wish they would make this scent into a body lotion so that I could pair it with Gris Charnel!! Great video!!

I can’t find coconut sandalwood right now on BBW. I love the candle and room spray in that scent. I agree a lotion in coconut sandalwood would be amazing.

Pink Lavender & Espresso was a huge hit in my house earlier this year. I think we burned through five or six of those in a row.

It’s a top favorite for me too. I grabbed 4 and I tried to find more and couldn’t. It’s great!
Marshmallow Fireplace candle is so lovely during the winter. If there’s a marshmallow scent it’s more burnt marshmallow over a bonfire scent.
As a perfume enthusiate i resonate with your taste so much. I also don't like vanilla in my fragrance and i love a sophisticated rose note.
I also love pink lavender & espresso, Paris cafe, dark amber & oud, and leather and brandy! Have you smelled leather & brandy? It’s my favorite of the masculine type scents. But I fell hard for the palo santo & vanilla and of course I can’t find it in any stores or on their website! I’m hoping they bring it back soon!!💖
I did, but it wasn't available when I went shopping for the semi annual sale :( I generally enjoy their masculine leaning scents more, I find 🥰
You need to try the rose ivy hand soap. I’m not a huge rose fan, but it smells really nice and well done with that hand soap.

Yes, more candle home fragrance would be great. I'm trying to use up the perfume I have, so branching into candles, home fragrances, and body washes while I try to use up my perfumes before buying more
I love the BBW lotions and find some are so nice to layer with perfumes.
I’ve had Juniper Breeze and Plumeria in some format, mostly the lotion, which is great! The lotions are amazing bases for perfume. Like boosters. I also like the stress relief ones!
The ivory cashmere is an exact dupe for lake and skye 11 11 perfume, not the rollerball oil, which i have not found a dupe for. I purchased it off of ebay, i wasn't aware it was coming out in the fall.

My girls use to love Bath & Body Works scents when they were in high school. They went for the fruity scented lotions. I wasn't a fan.
Any candle with an Oud scent, I'd love. I'm with you on a woody vanilla scent.
I always have a coffee scented candle in my kitchen.
Patchouli and Rosewood sounds wonderful.

I missed the sale, but they're always having one. I have a store about 5 minutes from me. I have so many candles, but they're like lipglosses, there's no such thing as too many.😊

@TheScented definitely do a candle haul. I'm with you. From TJ Maxx to House of Sillage. Their candles are incredible, but oh so expensive. I was lucky enough to win an influencer's incredible candle collection, and I fell in love with the House of Sillage. They do run half price sales every once in awhile. 😊❤️
Yeah I picked up all of the new Ginghams and like them. Perfect layering ones. But yes I loved Saltwater Breeze! I’ve never gone through a body cream that fast and kind of wish I bought more!
Love Palo Santo and Vanilla Candle and Body Cream, Mahogany Coconut Candle and Hand soap (perfect for all the boys I have in my house)
I purchased the Rose body cream recently. It smells great when I take a whiff of the opening of tube, but within about 10 seconds on my skin it smells not so good and the rose smell disappears completely! I also purchased the Juniper Breeze and Sandalwood & Vanilla body creams and love both of them. Have enjoyed their candles for years, but recently I have found they just don't burn as well as they used to.
I did notice the throw is a lot more mild than what I'm used to when I started burning them :(
Love cloud nine, hibiscus waterfalls and coconut sandalwood! If you like Gris charnel, you’ve got to try coffee & whiskey! For woody scents, I like in the stars, wicked vanilla woods, mahogany vanilla, vanilla birch, marshmallow fireside and mahogany rose water & ivy.
Coconut Sandalwood is my Favorite for summer! The first year it ever came out in 2016 I stocked up and haven’t needed to buy any since Lol! You never know when BBW gonna discontinue a scent. It’s been out every year since almost lol!😆 But it’s ok bc I got them at SAS for 75% off and back then I think 3wicks were 22$. Back then i ALWAYS FOUND A TON of 75 off candles, before the boom of instagram. Now everyone and their mother wants BBW.

I don’t love the body mists for my body, but I do use them as room sprays. You’re the only other person I’ve seen do that. I feel less like a weirdo now. lol
I picked up a few random lotions during the sale, but had gone nose blind in the store. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised to find that You’re The One layers perfectly with Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. It’s like they were made to go together.
I wasn’t as lucky with some of the other scents in my haul once my nose recovered. Oh well. Can’t win them all.
I get nose blind in BBW , and at the end I have no idea what to buy, especially that normally they are abt $17, so I don't want to waste my money on something that I will not use.

I went into BBW in Emeryville CA, USA (SF Bay area) and the manager said they had not been given restock of the Rose mist -- they said they didn't know if they were maybe discontinuing it or reforumulating/packaging or what, so ordered from Amazon.
This was a great video to see other candles I can try now. Thank you. Also I don't know why but I love when Canadians say coconut. Best way to pronounce it. I am from California and we don't pronounce it that way.

I feel like Bath and Body Works is so expensive now! I just bought a bunch of moisturizing body washes, and it was like $17.95 (Canadian) a bottle! You buy three and get one free, but still!
Mahogany Balsam is a nice candle for cold months. It's strong however.

I have been a subscriber for years and I have always been watching your videos to a point where it almost feels like I know you personally. I’m sure some avid followers may have the same feeling so I think that’s inevitable for some people. You may or may not even read this comment but I wanna let you know your vlogs have been helping me go through a lot on a daily basis. I find you vlogs very honest and sincere that after watching you I get the urge to try most of the perfumes you reviewed. I haven’t smelled BBW sprays in a long time. (Other than the gingham collection, which was ok). I miss the ones from the late 90s and early 2000s. Particularly the kiwi one and the strawberry lemonade one.

When I saw they were coming out with a lavender espresso (!!!) candle and it was in a baby pink jar, omgggg had to have it! It’s so stunning! I also love hibiscus waterfall, I bought out all their wallflowers, such a fun pretty happy scent! And… you had me at gris charnel! I must pick up coconut sandalwood!! Excellent haul Yana! 🔥
