Omar sang with them during carry on our wayward son. He’s just a guest singer he’s not part of the group. The song is from the game Skyrim and the language that they are speaking is called the dragon language. Voiceplay is awesome!!!

It shows dedication when you have to learn words of another language (especially a made up language) to sing a song. When Cesar was only being featured, before he joined full time, he sang in Spanish, which I presume he can speak normally. But they all had to learn the words of Dovahzul to do this. That is astounding.
You are one of the most expressive reactors out there, and it's really enjoyable to watch you being amazed by VoicePlay. Is there any way we can convince you to feature them on your channel as heavily as PTX and HomeFree? Because these guys absolutely deserve it, and yet they do not get the same love those other groups receive. (I don't mean you specifically in that regard, but just reactors in general. VoicePlay is often overlooked in lieu of those other two.) So many incredible songs- I don't even know which to recommend to you next. Maybe the Halo theme (which is another epic piece, with an outro that explains a lot about the heart of this group), maybe Bang!, or Eleanor Rigby.... at some point, it just comes down to personal favorites, because they are all so good, and every one has moments that will surprise you. Whichever you pick, please check them out again soon!

Skyrim is a video game....This song is a combination of two of the songs from the game.....The language they are singing is called Dovakhul which was invented for the game....

Omar Cardona was featured when they sang Carry On Wayward Son.
Geoff even said they got a little carried away on this one. Geoff is using subharmonics so your headphones are safe unless you get Tim or Avi down there. They don't use that technique but do it the old fashioned basso profundo way.
It looks like Avi's next video or so is going to be more theatrical too. The director has shared pictures of several costume changes. Epic landscape too on the Navajo reservation.

Absolutely love your animated reactions to Voiceplay! Please keep reacting to them. Try Warriors, Can't Help Falling in Love and Mr Blue Sky. You will get a view of the different types of music they do. They have one coming out in a few days that is totally different than anything you've seen them do and I guarantee you will love it.
Then remember Geoff's personal channel. For the vibe you like, Far Over the Misty Mountain Cold, and for shock and awe, House of the Rising Sun.
VoicePlay has, as I am typing this, 4 full-time members, so for their fifth voice, they bring in featured guests -- many of the singers in "Just Sing" were actually former members they called back for the project. The man with the angelic run at the end is one such recurring guest (The group was founded in 1997, and their membership has shifted several times over the years; the person who runs the studio where they film these videos was once their baritone singer).

This is a song and theme music from a video game Skyrim. Dovahzul ("Dragon-Voice"), the Dragon Language or Dragonish. Dragonborn: An Imperial barbarian, a Dunmer battlemage, a Bosmer archer, a Breton necromancer, and a Nord Jarl hang out in the Palace of Kings ready to belt out a classic Geoff is an Imperial Barbarian, Cesar a Dunmer (dark elf) Battlemage, Omar a Bosmer (wood elf) Archer, Eli a Breton Necromancer, and Layne a Nord Jarl. Or so I'm relieably informed, not being a gamer myself. Omar Cardona appears with VP on Carry On Wayward Son and also in Superstition. He is a guest, and the brother of EJ Cardona who appears with them in Go The Distance. VoicePlay always choose guest artists who best fit the role and the arrangement, whether male of female voices.
I’ll second the recommendations for Halo and Warriors! (And add my own request for Once Upon a Dream, for reasons.)
Voiceplay has become my favorite acapella group and Geoff’s work alone is amazing. Also I just watched Warriors for the first time and loved Laine playing the violin and beatboxing.

As several commentors have said, the non english sections of the song are sung in a language that was created for the game Skyrim called Dovahzul or dragonspeak.
The song is actually 2 songs combined.
English sections are from ingame bards songs or tavern songs.
The Dovahzul sections are played in the background of the main menu.
This is the translation from dovahzul to english for those that were wondering.

VoicePlay + Medieval = EPIC! And just FYI nobody is ever prepared when Goeff rattles the windows even when we know it's coming. Their harmonies just can't be beat and are so complex. You get the full effect of that when you listen to the karaoke track. That note is C#1 almost his lowest, but we get to hear it all by itself in all its glory! Then comes the contrast you talked about when Eli hits those high Es. When you get a group that has an octave spread this wide it adds so much depth to the sound. Eli also did the lighting for this and it added even more drama to the song. Geoff was the arranger and he's a master at it. The set is actually from Layne's Pattycake Productions and his Villain's Lair series. There's a RUclips channel for it and you would like that series. I knew this one would get you since you were so into My Mother Told Me. If you're interested in understanding the game characters they are playing and what the language and shouts are, What It Do Dave does a great job of explaining it. When you want to know just how dedicated VoicePlay is to creating masterpieces just think about Cesar wearing 20 pounds of real chain mail all day for this one. Or Geoff being painted for Ursula. All of them doing the Nightmare Before Christmas videos. When you want to know how diverse they are just compare this EPIC video to the one they dropped today. The first gives you goosebumps and makes your hair stand on end and the second one will have you laughing until the tears roll. These guys just don't miss!
Since you like Avi Kaplan’s Change on the Rise, you’ll LOVE Tomi P’s double song cover of Change on the Rise AND Misty Mountains Cold mashed into one song. He sings it with his brother, and both are phenomenal Bass singers. Trust me on this

"What in the helli Mr. Eli" indeed. Geoff sounds like a dragon, Cesar and Omar are perfect as elves and Eli as a necromancer....and not the least Payne who is an amazing beat-boxer! Love VoicePlay's theatrics, music arrangements and their collaborations. You need to hear them do "My mother told me" and the Halo theme song..and I'm not a gamer, but can appreciate the music.

I've listened to every cover of this song I could find -- over a dozen -- and none holds a candle to this one. In my biased opinion.
If you haven’t heard Carry On Wayward Son, you should. Omar is in that as well, and that song is MADE for Eli’s voice.

I like the visual effect on Fus Ro Dah (unrelenting force dragon shout). I've used that shout many times while playing "Skyrim."
If you have played "Skyrim" you probably already know, the theme song describes the main quest in the dragon language.
I don't game, either, but another reactor said this is a couple of Skyrim/Dragonborn Come songs combined and includes their sounds and effects as well as the invented language. The costumes, of course, are also game characters.

So, Voice Play has had a number of personnel changes since 1997. There are others who probably can fill you in with detail butin thelast couple years they lost two great vocalists, Earl and J-None, but they did add Cesar earlier this year. Geoff and Layne have been around since they were 4 to five, they havealways beengreat at featureing other artists. Omar here is great, as is Rachel Potter, DeeJay Young, Ariana Arellano, Jose Rosario Jr. and so many more.

I have grown more and more in thralled with VoicePlay and how they can draw you into the music with their creativity in presenting the song they are singing. PTX, Home Free and VoicePlay are all so unique and I love all of them.

I know watch it a year ago but as someone said it from the game Skyrim and at 8:57 they did a thing you get as a power called a shout that brings down dragons they have ice. fire and other it a cool game in it you can be turn into a vampire or a werewolf if join something in the game. It open world game

They’re a *Mongolian metal band* that incorporates their traditional instruments and throat singing (i.e. like Geoff when he hits the basement) into their music. They even did a number for a Star Wars video game that is INCREDIBLE (song is called Sugaan Essena).

I love that they learned the games language and sung with it, and then they did the spell with the video graphics of green 🐉 dragons coming out of their mouths… and Geoff going up up and down the vocal scale in the background. They all look like they stepped out of the game 😃😍

Not sure if you like metal. Growing up in the 70s & 80s I was not the biggest fan of metal or hard rock for that matter. But this winter I have come across two metal bands I can't seem to get enough of. Sabaton and Nightwish. Sabaton is unique in that the music they write is based on true military history. I have seen it referred to as Metal History and Nightwish is Symphonic Metal. The songs that hooked me are Sabaton's video "The Christmas Truce". If you do watch that one you need to listen all the through to the end during the credits. The vocal is been done by Floor Jansen (who married to Sabaton's drummer). She is also the lead singer for Nightwish. The Nightwish song that hooked me is the live Wacken 2013 performance of Ghost Love Score. Both I think you would.
I have played Skyrim ever since the game came out....I still can't speak the Dragon language....and the dragons know. This is the best rendition of the Dragonborn Comes! I wish the bards sang it this way....just sayin'
I'm really hoping that they chose Omar for their 5th member, I've really enjoyed all that have been featured since Earl and J Noone left so many different talented people. Omar has a brother named EJ that was featured with them on Go the Distance. That brings to mind another group you need to react to called Voctave. Voctave is another a cappella group but, to me , is in a class of its own. EJ is a member of the group. There is usually 11to 13 people. Three of their most requested songs are, Disney Princess Medley, Disney Love Medley with Kirsten from PTX, and Poor Unfortunate Souls/I Put a Spell on You with Rachel Potter. So some more work for you, Voctave, Citizen Queen and The AcaPop Kids all amazing a cappella groups that u haven't listened to yet. So very many rabbit holes every where.😎

If you like native type music I HIGHLY recommend Faouzia - Desert Rose or RIP love. While not Native it blends middle eastern scales with more modern music and her voice is absolutely insane to begin with! I think you’d really like her.
