Thank you all so much for watching!! Also, we didn't pay all of that just for the kielbasa. The prices listed in the video were a running total of the amount spent during the entire day. So sorry for any confusion!! LOL
Thank you from Vancouver, British Columbia, for this lovely video.🌲🌲 We went to Poland, and Krakow, so many times, and we had always a good time. We like polish vodka, as well. We gave you SUB !!!!!🌅🌅 Cheers
Thank you SO MUCH for the kind words!! We loved Krakow so much & it's definitely become a place of comfort for us in Europe. We already can't wait to go back & see more of Poland. We hear some pretty awesome things!!!!
GUYS!!! Poland's now become our place to go in order to get caught up on videos🤣 It's much more affordable relative to other parts of Europe, the people are super nice, & the food is out of this world. We can't wait to go back!!!
Mannnnn Eric you've got to get there at some point!!! I've seriously not had food that good in a long time. The options are super diverse. They've actually got some incredible Indian & Greek restaurants too!! Needless to say we ate pretty well while we were in Krakow🤣
Wow! I think I just gained 2 lbs just watching y'all eat! 🎉Although I just finished eating supper before watching your video, I am now still hungry!!! I would like to take a train and go visit Krakow and then walk back home, it's only 750 km and 156 hours walking, lol. There is a polish butcher that sells these Kielbasa sausages not far from where I live, I love those with potato pancakes.
Mannnnnn I'd live at that butcher shop if I was you!!🤣 The Kielbasa was unreal. Honestly all the food was pretty incredible. We've identified a few different cities around Europe that we plan to spend a longer amount of time in when we need to hunker down & work, & Krakow's near the top of the list just for the food alone🤣 You've gotta make sure to get there at some point Eddy!!
You are really nice couple :) all the best from Poland! Dont worry about comments about mistake in video with prices and about hat. We Poles love Americans ;)
Thank you SO much for the kind words Daniel!! We really loved our time there & had nothing but extremely warm hospitality there. We definitely could've done a bit better in clearly explaining the expenses throughout the video, but it's a learning moment for us so that next time we visit Poland, we'll be EXTRA clear🤣 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!😊
Hannah did too!!! Her family immigrated from Poland a few generations back but they still carry some of the same traditions still. We're going back at the end of this year because we loved the country so much. It's VERY worth the time spent to get there. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!!
Something is wrong with the prices of zapiekanka and sausages. You quoted astronomical prices. The average cost of one zapiekanka is PLN 17(4.08 US dolar). So is the price of sausage.
Thank you all so much for watching!! Also, we didn't pay all of that just for the kielbasa. The prices listed in the video were a running total of the amount spent during the entire day. So sorry for any confusion!! LOL
So the bottom number was a running total of how much we spent on all the items we got throughout the day. Unfortunately we forgot to add that into the final edit of the video. My apologies for any confusion this might have caused!!!!
Poland isn't that cold, especially Kraków. The climate is similar to Germany. Kraków literally has vineyards. Only half of the year is cold. In general it's similar (but obviously more extreme) Siberia. Not many people know that Siberia has hot summers.
Do you happen to remember the name of the place that you had the potato pancakes? I love that you usually include the names and the prices as I use videos like this as research for my upcoming trips.
Thank y'all for catching that!! The total at the bottom was a running total of everything we'd gotten all day. We definitely should've been more clear on that. So sorry for any confusion & thank you for taking the time to watch our video!!
grilled sausage 148 PLN!? ($32) NO! ! I saw that you gave 20 zlotys is about 4 dollars. And potato pancakes are my childhood delicacy but sprinkled with sugar. What you ordered was a goulash dish.
Thanks for watching. We mentioned in the comments that the total is for all the food that day, not each item individually. We really liked our trip to Poland!
Don't be angry, but I will tell you that a Pole will immediately know that you are from a foreign country and I noticed it in other vlogs because a Pole in a bar, in a restaurant, generally indoors, never eats a meal in a headgear (hat). This is due to respect for God that he can eat and does not starve, but in old Poland only Jews ate meals with their heads covered.😀
You’re absolutely right. It’s something that honestly, we had NO idea about until after we left & we felt horrible. We’re going back to Poland later this year and won’t make that mistake again. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!❤️
Thank you so much for clarifying Radoslow!!! Krakow's literally one of our favorite cities we've ever been to. We feel like we definitely have to get back to Poland & see a lot more of the country!!
All tourists eat the same thing, sour rye soup, sausages, dumplings, bigos, potato pancakes, pork knuckle, pork chop, and I would suggest next time you are in Poland to order chicken liver with fried onion and Polish cakes: cheesecake, apple pie, poppy seed cake. . Depending on the weather, order dumplings with blueberries and cream, it can be treated as a dessert. From my childhood, I remember eating hot ones, and these are the only ones that are the tastiest - potato pancakes with sugar. And in better restaurants, order duck, which Poland is famous for, and tripe soup, spicy seasoned with herbs, which is little known in other countries, but in Poland it is appreciated next to soups such as red borscht, żurek, mushroom soup, white borscht with white sausage, tomato soup, broth which it is eaten in every Polish home on Sunday. Bon appetit
So I believe we do, but it's a little bit different. It reminded us a lot of something called Kool-Aid. The thing that was so different about it was the Kool-Aid in America has an INSANE amount of sugar in it, while this had next to none. That alone makes this VERY different from anything else back home!
Hey Guys ,Great videobut at 06;25 price for zapiekanka is unreal :) am affraid as on the board with the prices the most expensive one cost 25 zloty :) which equal of 11 dollars : ) am hoping you had a grat time in Poland :)
Thank you for watching!! We plan to be back to Poland very soon. Also, we didn't pay all of that just for the kielbasa. The prices listed in the video were a running total of the amount spent during the entire day. So sorry for any confusion!! LOL
Just saw your Salzburg video and then you trip back home to Detroit . My 3 rd stop on your video line was this Poland . I thought for sure your you would have had a Paczki in Detroit . They are a big deal on Fat Tuesday back home .
They DEFINITELY are!!! Hannah talked about eating them every Fat Tuesday growing up, but this was my (Trey) first ever experience with them & mannnnn I love it lol. We can't wait to get back to Poland for more of those things. Thank you so much for watching our video Mary!!!!
yours prices are to high (hannah said it was 15 zl at the end so its about 3.24 usd, also i'm not sure of potato pancakes it's only 19zl so under 4usd)
Thank you so much for watching!! Also, we didn't pay all of that just for the kielbasa. The prices listed in the video were a running total of the amount spent during the entire day. So sorry for any confusion!! LOL
How come you paid 115 PLN for one zapiekanka in Loco on Plac Nowy and 133 PLN for two sets of potato pancakes? None of this costs this much. Poland is becoming more expensive but we would die if we had prices like you mentioned. It's still not western standard when it comes to prices. One zapiekanka is 18-19 PLN, even in this touristy spot. Or maybe you had drinks, ate more food but didn't show it to us? But in this case you shouldn't sum it up as 115 PLN if you only show one thing :) Other than that, a very nice film.
Ok, now I know, you mixed the prices up totally :) It's visible in the scene with buying kiełbasa at Hala Targowa. The guy says "14 zloty", you give twenty and probably get change back. The inscription on the screen goes "total: 114 zloty" and the overestimated sum in dollars in brackets next to it. Seems like you added one extra "1" in front of many prices which makes your information unreliable 'cause non-Polish viewers will think that this is such an expensive country. Sorry to point it to you, no offence :)
Hi Magda!! You're TOTALLY right. We love this video, but we definitely made a bit of an error with the pricing. We should have A) shown the price of each individual stop/meal & B) made sure to be more clear that the totals were a running total of all purchases made throughout the day. It's a learning moment for us LOL. We seriously love Krakow so much though. It's such a wonderful city with so many nice people. It's began to feel like home the longer we stayed & we cannot wait to come back to visit. Our sincerest apologies for the confusion & thank you so much for your feedback/viewership!!❤️
I think we do, but the difference in what we have back home (Koo-Aid) is that it has a massive amount of sugar. So much that it seriously could be mistaken as a completely different drink. I can't think of anything in the US that would be the same as kompot, or at least anything that I've tried LOL!
I really like your video but here, in Poland you really should take off your hat when you're entering a restaurant or any other bulding. Many of polish people can take it as disrespectful, especially elder people. For sure a big faux pax in Poland is to eat in a hat.
Thank you very much for letting us know!! We honestly had no idea & will make sure to remember that next time we visit. There's still a ton more of the country we want to visit so we'll make sure to not make that mistake again. Thank you very much for watching our video!!!
@@ProbablyLost hehe it's pretty difficult not to do a faux pax in Poland 😆 If you'll visit Lublin someday let me know, I will show you some good places to see and eat. :)
OMG ILONA!!! I'm so glad you got to see our video on Poland. We really had a fantastic time there & MY GOODNESS THE FOOD😍 We hope you, Stephen, & the new little one are doing so well & we talk all the time about how great a time we had with you guys. Hands down one of the best Airbnbs we stayed in all year & we're hoping to get back up to Scotland to see you guys again this year. Thank you so much for watching our video!!!❤️
Guys, you paid 115zł (25.49$) for 2 zapiekanki? You can read that it cost max 25 zł for one (6$). In fact all the prices you showed in the video are terribly high (for example kiełbasa) and inconsistent with the price lists that can also be seen in the video. Either most places have scammed you or something is wrong here
Hello! So we made the mistake throughout the video of posting the running total of what we spent throughout the day, & failed to include the price of each thing as we got them. We wanted to show how affordable & delicious the food was in total, but completely missed adding how much each individual dish was. It was a learning moment for us for sure! That's totally fair! We had no idea that it was a problem in Poland. It's not necessarily a big deal where we're from so that's why we did, but we definitely now know not to do so when we're in Poland. It was 14,8 złotych, zapiekanki are also cheaper :)
For 148 złotych your get 4g of the best sausage, even ham does not cost that much
don't write nonsense

Best potato pancakes is "U Dorory"❤
What you mean by "there is stuff floating around"? Its a soup. Its water with stuff floating around from definition.
Pączki i żurek definitely the best :D
