Pets are amazing. I currently have a cat who is turning 21 in October and she has literally been there since I was born. She’s older than me so I call her Grandma haha. When she was younger, she didn’t like me that much, only my parents. But now… she still only likes my parents haha, but she will sit on my lap occasionally. Although, I can always win her over if I have treats! She is like a roomba, she will inhale treats so quickly that I have to hold her back before she gobbles down the other cats’ treats!

omg i recently got a roomba too! my grandma wanted to give one to my mom and when she came to visit us a few weeks ago we finally got it! he was such a helpful little fella and i even introduced it to my cousin as our newest family member 😆. those roombas are so useful thankful for them

I'm 28 and we still have our elderly cat that we got when I was 8. Needless to say Misty has been a part of my life well into my adulthood! She's a little slow, deaf and maybe a tad bit senile, but she's as much my baby girl now as when she was a kitten. ❤❤

I had 6 cats throughout my life. Got my first cat as a present for my 7th birthday. She was a cranky grey tortoishell named Kitty. She was actually born that day on my birthday, but we got her later once she was old enough. Kitty was a real life teenage mutant hero kitty because she was poisoned by a flea bomb and did save my baby niece from a dog once. Also chased away a boy whom I didn't want around. She went through hell with us, the poor thing, but utmost loyal and a better friend than we could ever deserved. My second cat was actually Kitty's kitten Mischief. He was solid grey and handsome. Almost all his litter was born inside out and dead. Only he and his super polydactyl brother survived. Mischief got into our freezer somehow once and I loves him, but apparently he got health issues and didn't live long. My 3rd cat was a barn kitten named Tabby, a brown tabby, whom I brought home from my grandmas farm. She instantly took to being inside, used the litter box like a pro, and was just super friendly where you could do anything with her. A truly well natured cat. Tabby ran away for a few months once though. I was so happy when she returned. A few months later I think she had kittens. My 4th cat was Tabby's kitten Sassy. She was a tabby and white, and I loved her the second I saw her. She was my first real pet that actually felt like mine. I brought her and her siblings to the park when they were little and always liked to take lots of beautiful photos of Sassy. She was spoiled, but died shortly after I graduated highschool when she was 7 due to kidney failure and broke my heart. Soon after that my 5th cat Spunky, a grey/brown tabby and white, was born to my little sister's ferocious grey farm cat. Was starting my first job at the time and staying with my big sis, so only saw a picture of him at first. Spunky helped me get over my grief for Sassy and was there with me when I moved out. He is currently 10 and is my ultra cranky good boy. My 6th cat is my cream colored girl Milka. Seen an ad in the paper for her and walked a long ways to pick her up from a farm, though they gave me a ride bac. Chose her from the litter because she was the only girl and I loved her lighter colors. Milka and Spunky became instant friends. He really helped her get out of her shell and not be so scared. She's still timid, but really loves her cuddles and food. Is currently 5 and becoming a fine cat.

Meow reminds me so much of my childhood cat, his name was Sebastian and he was the laziest and chillest cat ever. He'd let me carry him around, use him as a pillow and dress him up in doll clothes, I even gave him a bath once and he didn't care.. a *cat* not caring about getting a bath! He lived until he was 16 and I was about 13 or 14
I just think of that video of that one cat that makes the roomba go a different direction, all smooth like. And the other cat is just in awe of it all. 🐈
my mom owned a cat since she was around 10, she was this fluffy black cat named lollipop. she was around for mom's whole life, past when i was born, and only died at age 25 when i hit around 10 and mom was entering her early 30s. she was adorable, all fluff, your stereotypical aloof knocking-stuff-over kitty, but she LOVED my mom and she tolerated me and my baby brother to a certain extent. she was such a good kitty.

I wish I knew what having old pets felt like. I had a Great Dane that died a little over a year ago from bone cancer at 4. I had her when she was 8-12 and I wonder what it would be like if she was still here. Other than that I’m glad you got to experience a long and happy time with your pets
My wife left me a few years ago with my daughter and my life has been terribly lonely ever since. I was eventually finally reunited with my dog Lucy finally when the ex abandoned her. She has saved my life, I had no idea how starved I was for love, unconditional love.
I actually never had any pets, so when we got our roombas it was like we finally got one. They all have different names: Mo (named after the one from Wall-E), R4G9 and R5D4 (named after two of the more obscure droids from Star Wars). R5D4 also has a nickname, the harvester, because he's pretty large compared to the others and makes a lot of noise 😂 To be clear, they are not the smart ones that learn the layout of your house, they're the cheaper ones that just hit the walls a lot, but we still love them! We also got one for my grandparents and my grandma actually named it "mischino" (basically poor little thing in an italian dialect) after she saw it hit the stairs over and over like it was trying to go upstairs 😂
