Here are a few more builds which probably deserve a mention if a third video gets made: Kripp’s Bear summoner. Around the same time as Kripp came up with his burning discharge, he also played a summoner. Back then the chaos degen bears from act 2 had their aura damage based off of % hp. With some snapshoting back in the day using traps and mines this ended up being essentially an 8L setup with a bear specter that melted some of the hardest map bosses back then. ZiggyD’s EK build (prior to threshold jewels) was an incredibly tanky build with terrible damage for the time it was created, but it allowed lots of players to delve into maps for the first time. Pohx’s poison blade fall trap. A double dipping menace that cleared incredibly fast and achieved insane amounts of regen thanks to Bino’s. Wonderminer. I’m not entirely sure who the original creator of this was, but this build was the go-to atziri/boss farmer for quite a few patches prior to frost wall nerfs. It used kinetic blast mines in conjunction with frost wall traps to create insane amounts of damage in an area. I believe this was the build that truly opened people’s eyes about miners for boss farming, later giving way to EK mines, as well as the GC mines currently used. UberElite’s poison animate weapon. This guy made his name by playing summoner builds, mostly self cast animate weapon (which is terrible if you never tried it). In breach league with CwC and the new breach items he made an incredible poison AW build that was picked up by others as it MELTED breachlords even with 6 player hp. Autobombers. I am not entirely sure who initially came up with the concept, but I remember watching a lot of RaizQT gameplay on it. A build that has been somewhat in the outskirts of popularity for a long time, but carries an incredibly unique style of play. I’m sure there’s a lot more, but those are just a few that come to mind. That Wormblaster vs GGG struggle is actually such an epic story. There is Wormblaster the Fifth now btw :) It uses Flameblast and HoA overkill burn to oneshot anything.

Next one really should include Low Life Spectral Throw and/or Wander, with BM variants and snapshotting. Between 0.9 (i think) and 1.3 those were THE (best) high budget builds to go

EQ back when it first was released, Poison arrow trapper maybe worth mentioning? was the easiest way to farm uber atziri at some point. Also bladefall miners with poison double tipping was a big thing at one point

If you killed a reflect target with to much damage = overkilling the target the overkill damage would hit you before vaal pact would give you life = instend dead. That was the reason for kripps build because his build was worked around ignite damage and ignite damage don’t have overkill effect so you where completely safe using fire ignite discharge build on Hardcore ladder 👍🏻 Normal discharge builds was only uset on SC and was some of the fastest clear speed build for the time period in the game 👍🏻
vaal fireball,erthquake and of course the old cyclone build when cyclone had area that covered almost all of youre screen and had crazy good single target.
Voltaxic Spark was the most fun build I've played to this day. Other have been more successful for me and stuff, but goddam that build just stupid fun and had one of the best MTX effects.

I never said Lightning Coil wasn't good, I am simply saying it isn't as strong as it used to be. There are stronger options for most characters now, there are more options, and not to mention the fact that it got a solid nerf previously. Simply put, it isn't AS good as it used to be, and that is the point.
I think Havoc popularizing and possibly creating vaal sparker in 2.1 is infinitely more iconic than a derivative of it. Vaal spark changed the 100 race for 2 leagues straight and forced extreme nerfs from GGG in map xp and the gem overall

Well arc is back again in 3.3 i also remember spark being absolutly broken to the point where you would miss loot because of crazy clear speed and damage combo.
Just do this on std, legacy soutaker with bor, then you add in shaper amulet with mirrored off hand, i would suggest in playing champion, its really great. I hit 6 million shaper dps and also now we got steel rings and tombfist gloves. Ofc its mirrored gear, nothing special but the blender never stops.

First Melee lv100, first Melee Hardcore level 100, First level 100 in general in 1.1 league (and i think it was on hardcore), and the build that single handedly made GGG to fuck block and denfensives in general and change their design direction towards GET MOAR DPS TO SURVIVE.

I've felt that way about poe every since they added dom to act 3 they just started gutting builds left and right and then a new skill would take it's place(or be released by ggg) and usually be far better anyways. Shitty trend hasn't stopped yet but it does look like they'll be buffing a fair amount of stuff for 3.3 so I got high hopes I can go back to some of my favorite skills with out the play style feeling like shit.

exactly. Havoc did it before any nerfs, and before ascendancy. He was the one that realised how to keep it going 100% of the time.

Ziz wasn't the originator of VSpark, Havoc was the one that first created this build, ziz just made it popular.
