Hi Everyone this is the song my eldest brother played at his funeral in 2002 he was also a Vietnam Vet,I had chosen this many years ago when I purchased RETROSPECTIVE in1978, Excellent song rates among the best songs in the world to me.
Just heard this utter classic on the television series 'Puberty Blues' and as I didn't know the title I just googled 'Wings of an eagle I find myself' and sure enough up came the song, so I then RUclipsd it and here it was. I'm comin' the big FIVE-O this November and I can so remember listening to this song when it was first released in 1972, I was 9 and loved music. Russel Morris is an awesome artist very well respected here in New Zealand. Thanks for uploading this it is greatly appreciated!
Absolutely beautiful and the way you put it together was great. Of course I got teary. Played this for my mum as she was taken for cremation. It helped so much because I imagined her flying off on the back of an eagle with the feathers I had placed in her coffin. Thanks for showing the respect this song deserves.
This is absolutely breathtaking! I have tears for this. It is a fave song of mine from Russell Morris, who I think is brilliant! Your slideshow was stunning Chris! (*_*)
