My organisation (health service delivery) uses WhatsApp for basic file transfer and communication among staff. A lot of people don't know about Skype the uses of Skype like the fine transfer, calls to mobile phones and landlines.
Informative We use mostly WhatsApp and sometimes zoom in my organization, although, I can't say is better than Skype but it seems to be easy for us. Can't wait to learn more Sir.
The broadness of Skybe has been highlighted. This is something a lot of us weren't aware of. Thanks for making these things look simpler than we thought.
Sir a friend asked me to share some photos with him through skype, I was wondering how this could work, but this lectures has broaden my knowledge and hope to start using it frequently.
Skype has being in use by all in communication and meeting for some years in my organization, Microsoft Teams has also been adopted for same use too as alternate teleconference tool.
In my organization, we frequently use Google Meet. I can't say it's better than Skype, but it's more popular. Indeed, this lecture serves as a reminder; it's been a while since I thought about Skype or used Skype as a means of communication. Thank you very much, sir.
Very informative sir. In my organization, we use WhatsApp to communicate with each other. I can't say it's better than Skype, but it's really very good and more popular. Maybe the next video about it's installation and usage may give me enough information to decide on which is better
Great! In my Organization, We mainly use Skype for unofficial bilateral communication, a good number of staff use teams as well. for Official bilateral communications(internal and external) we use outlook. I love your presentations Sir, they are concise but comprehensive.
Indeed, Skype has a lot of advantages and is very useful to public health. I'm more familiar with zoom, it's a good platform too but I can't really say it's better than Skype. Thanks for this sir.
Thanks for the lecture. Initially, we were using Skype for meetings and Microsoft 365 in my office, but we dropped Skype for Microsoft Teams for meetings and other communications.
Thank you Sir for highlighting the benefits of skype. I remember once I started using Zoom, I no longer have the skype on my phone. Thank you Sir for this lecture 🙏🏽
Through your lectures, I was able to unravel more functions of Skypes such as instant messaging and files transfer. My organization uses Microsoft teams and outlook for communication and file transfer. Thank you for sharing, Sir
We use ZOOM in the Organization where I work and its preferable because The Organization is quite large so the free consumer version of Skype limits us to 100 participants, but paying for a Microsoft Teams plan can get that number to 300. These numbers pale in comparison to Zoom’s. Zoom Meetings’ free plan allows us to start video calls with up to 100 participants. Paying up can also get that number up to a whopping 1,000. This is one of the major reason ZOOM is preferred. Great Lecture.
We use WhatsApp mainly to pass information in my organization. You have enlightened me so much on the other uses and functions of skype, I use to believe it's for video calls and messages alone. Thank you sir for impacting knowledge.
Thank you so much for this insightful lecture which I learn new things like HIPAA compliance. My organization uses Microsoft teams app as it’s official software app. I felt it has some advantage over skype such as: 1. Popularity 2. Simplicity of use 3. Integration with other Office 365 apps with a more extensive chat capabilities (e.g. private chats, group chats, file sharing, option to co-author content) 4. Compatibility: Many organization uses this which is more better to send them invites for online meeting options (team meetings, live streaming, and conference calls for mobile, desktop, and conference Room Systems) 5. Cross-device communications within the Microsoft partner ecosystem with a high enterprise-grade security and compliance. 6.Phone system and calling plans that allow for making/receiving calls via phone, mobile, PC and Mac 7. No technical hiccups as the Skype Thanks
We are using wireless network network and also EMR in my organization. From the above lecture, it's obvious Skype is better. Thank you Sir for all you do for your students.
I have heard about skype but never used it before. I would like to experiment with it after hearing some of the features from the lecture. Thank you, sir.
I've heard of Skype but made application of Google meet, I'm glad now to know the other uses of Skype and how it can be use in health service delivery.
The video is mind-catching. In my organization, we use email, WhatsApp, and telegram in sending and receiving messages. With this lecture, we are hoping for a step forwards. Thank you, sir. Safiya Umar
I've always known about Skype, but this was an eye opener to it's vast features and functionalities. My organisation mostly utilizes Google Meets and Teams for this purpose. I hope we get to incorporate Skype too. Thank you. Joel Haruna Garba
My organization uses zoom, I can't really say which one is better, of a truth I don't really know much about Skype, Never know i'ts loaded with lots of features ,am exited learning about it, not just learning but learning from you, your method of teaching is amazing, you are the best sir, thank you
I have received a public lecture via Skype some kinda 6 yrs ago but didn't enjoy it, possibly due to fluctuating network. I therefore didn't bother to learn more about it. I must say this video is quite enlightening!💯. Many thanks sir!
We essentially communicate through zoom and WhatsApp platform.. Your lectures are made pretty easy to follow, even to beginners like myself. Thank you sir
My organization uses Telegram for communication Telegram is known for its fast message delivery and performance even on slower connections unlike Skype. Thank you Sir
1. We are using wireless landline phone for communication in our organization. 2. Honestly, Skype is better than the wireless landline phone that we're using in our organization having watched and listen to our distinguished and erudite scholar's video. Thank you so much and I'm an advocate of peace ✌️ sir.
very informative. The use of zoom or google meet in most organization are being used in place of skype because most people do not know how to use skype
Quite an interesting video explaining the relevance of the skype software as an audio-visual tool to ease communications and business interactiins especially in Public Health
Thanks sir for the lecture. I last used Skype about 5 years ago, and I experienced those drawbacks you listed. Dropping calls... But then it was a great one.
In the past, I only used Skype for long distance video calls 😀And now in my place of work, we most often use Zoom and Google meet for online communication. But it is interesting to learn that Skpe can also can be used likewise for communication and collaboration in office and business meetings. Thank you Sir! 🙏
Educative lecture series sir. We use a combination of Zoom and Teams for meetings and calls. Somehow skype has not been popular in my organization and because I use the other applications, they tend to be more flexible than Skype including the not dropped calls and freezing experience with skype
I love how brief and educative this lecture was. Commendable method of teaching. Thank you. Used Skype almost 6 years ago. Feel great to learn more about Skype.
Skype well explained i used skype as a means of communication while studying abroad for more than 6yrs i enjoyed it but there re some things you mentioned i was not aware of.thank you
Interesting! I had no idea Skype was available on video game consoles. I use Skype often for meetings because it is popular but recently my colleagues and I prefer using Google chat because it has less technical hiccups.
That was a precise and mind blowing lecture sir, kudos. Ques1: In my organization, we make more use of telegram, zoom and WhatsApp for seminars, presentation and meetings. Ques2: Well as much as they all have similar features, I personally feel the use of skype and all others is tailored towards individual or organizational needs and priority, hence one being better than the other. For instance to me, I feel telegram is an open source unlike Skype, it is more affordable, very fast in terms of speed, allow you share large document, allow screen sharing and of course multiple users and a whole lot more. All of these doesn't undermine the strength of skype either. Thank you.
Simplistic, interesting, yet holistic. Thank you Sir. In my organization when necessary, we use the WhatsApp. I feel this has the advantages of popularity, needs less tech exposure hence a wide range of staff cadre can use.
Thanks for this insight. In my work place we use teams for daily meetings and presentations. Even when it's quite flexible on phone, I find it difficult using it on my laptop. However, I am well aware of Skype being used for other purposes as highlighted by you. I think our place of work and environment influences what kind of app we use for our different means of communication.
Thank you sir for this eye opening lecture on Skype. Ever used Skype for just calls years back. WhatsApp, Google meet and zoom are used at my workplace, can't do the comparison since I have never used Skype beyond making calls.
Good day, Sir, My knowledge of Skype has really been expanded by watching the video. Thank you for the lecture. In my previous organization, we majorly used Google Meet for our meetings and Gmail to transfer files. Thank you.
Thanks greatly for the lecture sir, very concise and precise. In my organization, communication is mostly by e-mails, zoom calls and google meets. Looking forward to the next lecture.
Thanks you Sir for this lucid lecture. It is very revealing. I didn't know the Skype has so much packages. From this lecture I think Skype is better thank Zoom, Google Meet, Whatsapp, and Telegram that we often use in my work place. Thanks Sir for this knowledge.

This is interesting, now I know that Skype is an important tool in public health I did use it once when there was no network in my area. We usually use zoom for our meetings
