    Legend has it….JB is still pumping diesel in Missouri ⛽️

  • @dieselmutt8865
    @dieselmutt8865 Год назад +2

    I have driven modern emission semi trucks for a lot of years. I also have a diesel mechanic background with many years of experience with that.
    Those who say to not get DEF at the truck stop pumps are full of it. One important key to DEF is that is is fresh and it does have a shelf life. I have worked in the fuel industry for that past almost 2 decades. The bulk DEF that is delivered to the truck stops is held to the same standard that packaged DEF is as in how it is handled from the manufacturer to the retailer. The bulk truck stop DEF is likely fresher than the packaged DEF simply due to the high volume that is sold that way. The main thing when using the bulk DEF from the truck stop is to make sure the nozzle is really clean before using it to fill your vehicle.
    DEF inherently crystalizes when exposed to air so the nozzles can get kind of nasty looking but once they are cleaned of that the DEF from them is as good or better than the jug from Walmart.

    I laughed out loud when you said speed limit was 80 but you didn’t want to go too fast cause it was cold and you didn’t want to run up on a bad spot in the road, then promptly showed the speedometer at 79 mph 🤣🤣.

    They are pumping slow because the fuel pump filter is blocked or starting to gel. You might want to change your fuel filter on your truck soon after using those pumps.

    Man that stretch of I-80 through Wyoming and Nebraska is looong. Thank God the speed limit in WY and a significant part of NE 80mph, otherwise it would never end. I did find that 5 mile piece of Iowa that you go through pretty fun.

P.S. invest in a pharmaceutical sealed lid urinal you can place under the seat, stow and go! Don't forget to also include hand wipes for good hygiene! Hey Next time go to the fleet side(big rigs) to fuel your trucks. You get 1 gallon per second when both pumps are running. Still much faster than the standard pump diesel. J.B. don't tell nobody it's a secret.🤫

      Brother I see your videos! It shows you're The Real Deal!.J.B. These days I see more when Full-time Towing. You need to invest your money in your transmission retro Aisin weakness. The 68RFE cost twice to retro weakness (clutch packs)bearing failures! I apologize for the Farmers out there, They buy a New Truck and make it 700hp. Kill the 68RFE. Don't chip it! Run it. But do it right! Make it longevity! The Truck will take care of you! Diesel runs great at a lowest stall speed, that's why I recommend towing. You need a multi disk converter. Stock OEM single disk. I need to say no more! Aisin transmission is the Beast Master. If one can afford the upgrades(all total billet internals, billet valve body. You have the Mag Tech deep pan and heavy duty billet transmission cooler. You're gonna, Aah let me just stop! Too much to list! Too much money too build it!🤣😂🤣

    JB a little tip I use. Every fill up, pull out your phone & take a pic of the pump for Gals & $.$$; then get in truck & take a pic of your odometer with computer fuel efficiency. I do this every fill up. Have tons of data on fuel efficiency but tank, by trip, & by driving conditions. I’m a data geek. Helps in comparing computer to tank FE.
