Totally acknowledge it'll be out of some budgets, we reckon its still pretty good value for money considering the quality & consideration in the design and materials. If you dont need the fully freestanding version, check out the Alto TR2 Bikepacking Tent. ~ Lauren
Hi Ben and Lauren. Is it possible to do a review on the darche eco series 1400 roof top tent and the darche eco series 180* awning. There isn’t really anything online about these items nor did darche have the eco 1400 rrt set up at the 4x4 show in Sydney a couple of weeks ago. Thanks in advance.
We don't actually range these, sorry! We used to have the Eco Ridgeback last year, but there was essentially no demand for them. I'd dare say there isn't much content around because the set up/pack away, features, and function are ultimately the same as the standard versions of both products - so you'd essentially be filming the same thing, twice. The Ridgeback RTT Standard and Eco both use the same 280gsm grade material, just ones recycled. The 180 Eclipse have 320gsm on the Standard, and the Eco uses the same 280gsm recycled material as the Eco RTT. Hope that helps! ~ Lauren
Potentially not, depends what you're looking at as a priority in terms of design, features, materials, etc If weight is the main consideration there are other options for sure. ~ Lauren
I'm not sure any tent would be suitable for too much single track, the bike would end up too wide to be able to navigate the narrow track if it was loaded for overnight trips. ~ Ben
Fantastic comprehensive review. 10/10!
Thanks, Scatman! ~ Ben
strange i think the opposite. more moving hands in the frame than gear. to many informations in a short time.
and the title is misleading.
thanx so much for that helpfull video!
You're welcome!

It would be awesome to see this on a bike like the Trek Checkpoint! So awesome 👍
It'd be a drool worthy combo, no doubt - better than Bens old jalopy

1900g really isn't competitive, is it?

the price in ur link is not the real price, it's too expensive here
Not sure what you mean sorry, the price in the link is what we sell it for

Good for paved, gravel or fireroad. Definitely not ideal for singletrack use. And, at $1040, no thank!
