I like the soft skill approach to your videos. A lot of people forget that playing competitive video games is very similar to playing real sports. There is a lot of overlap and as a community we need to take cues from the sports world and apply it more to our development.
Having confidence to the point of cockyness has such a big affect on gameplay. If you think you're the goat you'll start to play like you are. Less hesitation and acting faster is so important in a game like splatoon.
4:23 Damn bro you put what happened to me yesterday perfectly. I had a really long day and wanted to get on splatoon and we got demolished in a scrim. It sucked but I learned a valuable lesson.
Awesome video, man. The interview part was also a great addition! I enjoyed your approach to this subject and it was what I needed to hear AGAIN, even if I already knew, but sometimes stubbornness wins lmao And again, thanks 🙏
S3 was the first game I've ever played consistently for multiple years. Throughout that time my connection was spotty, but usually I could make it work and rise through the ranks, but unfortunately ever since content stopped my connection has been so bad that I disconnect from every game 20 seconds in, and the game is sadly unplayable now. I can only hope I'll have better internet by the time s4 comes out.
@Ezio! This video is amazing and it is on point too and I agree that losing and learning is the ultimate gateway to success keep up the content creation :3
Just to add to the effect of your mental state, my own mental state made a full minute difference in my 5k time as a cross country runner. It's actually insane how much it really affects you
I really appreciate the talk on the mental side of things, I’ve been trying to put together a complete guide for a long time and motivation/mindset aspects are vital in the process of improvement Really glad you decided to make this video dude
about the good day/bad day stuff, i personally play right in the middle of the day because that's usually before anything big happens at all. it usually can't really be a bad day if the day only just started. that's what keeps me going on winning streaks for a few hours.
ngl i did have a pretty stupid reason for clicking this video and that is seeing the name divya dualies BECAUSE I DONT SEE FELLOW INDIANS IN SPLATOON ALRIGJT i just get so excited plus i live in india and theres no nintendo here so its even harder to find ppl at all ngl YEA IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY PLS
Ngl, I think my mental state on Monday manifested the worst V1 bend cus the thing bent VIOLENTLY and broke the system after two brushes took 4 one shots in a row. It was mildly annoying at first, but I chalked it up to poor internet. Then it happened again and I thought “that’s starting to get worrying”. Then it happened again third time and I KNEW I didn’t miss but they still didn’t die even though they were in inkbrush range against carbon. Then I made a bad play that SHOULD’VE ended in a trade (I could’ve completely prevented it but was tilted from bs) and they kill me for it. I will say it was a smart play from the brush, but that doesn’t mean damage doesn’t work on them.

@@tylercook7782 100%, as a person who actively plays sports translating that stuff over helps so much

after playing Splatoon for years i've pretty much felt all of this, especially how much believing in your abilitys and acceptance affects you
