    Removing the active shutters, does that help the Mopar cold air intake? Also how do you remove it without it throwing a code?

      Yes removing the AGS benefits the Mopar Ram Airflow intake. If I’m not mistaken Matt removed them but left the motor plugged in. He then zip tied it out of the way out of sight. You then have to get your turner to turn the monitoring off for the AGS this will eliminate the PCM throwing codes for the AGS. With the AGS removed it allows more air into the engine bay which helps a lot with cooling and more air passing through the intake. I hope this helped and thanks for watching.

    Truck sounds great. Should look real good once the GT decals are on. Got a question for you. Do you need to have a tune to run long tube headers ? Reason I’m asking is I know Rams are famous for cracking.

      Hey Jim, Yes unfortunately you will need a tune for long tube headers. The truck will run without the tune however it will throw a check engine light. Yes I’ve seen a few manifolds crack. Someone on the Ram forums actually has gone through 3 to stay within his warranty. After it’s up they’ll be switching to headers. It only seems to happen to those who tow a lot. As for the G/T badging I’ve already installed them and yes it looks really good video coming soon.

      @@MOPARRAM-bd9zk Thanks for the info. The GT decals should really set the truck off. I’m curious as to your gas mileage and horsepower now with the long tube headers. Keep up the great content my friend. See you in the next video. And I’ve decided to go with the Mopar exhaust, just a matter of ordering and install while on vacation. Thanks for all the content you’ve provided over these many months.

    Have you at any time got a cel for the active grill shutters?

      No cel. Sean deactivates them in the tune. Trucks been running great.

    Does Matt from moes performance typically do installs? I thought he only sold stuff. Sounds great!

      Matt typically does installs on Fridays. Throughout the rest of the week he’s very busy handling orders. You would need to contact him on arranging an install. Very happy with my experience and performance.

    Why would you need to retune just for long tube hearders if using oem o2 sensors

    • @MOPARRAM-bd9zk
      @MOPARRAM-bd9zk  2 года назад

      There is NOT ONE long tube header/hi flow cat design that does NOT throw codes or skew fuel trim measurements to the point of creating problems. This is due to o2 sensor location changes, along with converters that are NOT as efficient as factory cats. You will need to tune the vehicle for the air/fuel ratio difference so it will run efficiently without future problems. A tune will also insure your getting the best performance out of the vehicle with all the new modifications. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
