Loved this Vlog Luke. My daughter when she was 16 lived in Verona on a school trip from Melbourne Australia for 3months. The girls were all billeted with Verona families. I remember seeing her leave at the airport feeling so anxious as she was so young and I had no idea who she would be living with. I needn't have worried, the family were lovely and cared for her so well, we spoke on the phone a couple of times to reassure me. The dad was a teacher at the school she attended.
She adored Verona and at Christmas time we hosted a boy the same age from the family in Melbourne. We lived opposite the beach and he loved swimming at Christmas.
How fun! So glad you shared this trip and what a wonderful birthday gift for Zara!

Yep! that’s why they are called Juliette Balcony. We loved Verona, we were there a couple of years ago. We also had a some time at Lake Garda. We LOVE Italy.

Feeling quite emotional watching this Luke and Zara as my hubby and I love everything about Italy, and we have seen a lot of it, and Verona too. Last year my hubby underwent a gruelling and major op for cancer which thankfully, thankfully was successful and he has the all clear but seeing the places we have been to made me, like I said, quite emotional in a beautiful way. The only thing we didn’t know about was the funicular. You must visit the Roman theatre next time, it’s stunning. So thank you for putting out such a beautiful, heartwarming video. It was so wonderful to watch. Ooh and by the way, isn’t Desenzano stunning. We went there from where we were staying in Sirmione (another great place btw) ❤️

Oh I do so enjoy your travel vlogs, you certainly were blessed with lovely weather albeit a bit cold. There is such value in visiting cities in the winter, I think you get to see & experience so much more, without the heat & so many tourists, making a more authentic trip 🥰

Wow, that was lovely! We were in Verona some years ago and loved it. And it brought back such happy memories. You had lunch in the restaurant opposite the amphitheatre, which is where we had lunch on a beautiful warm spring day - blue skies, sunshine and that view. Thank you for cheering up a dark, cold winter’s evening!

I share your love of Italy and Verona is such a lovely city! We visited at the height of summer and it was crazy hot but that gave us the perfect excuse to eat lots of gelato. The highlight for me was seeing an opera (Aida) in the beautiful amphitheatre - an experience that I'll never forget. We also loved taking day trips up to Peschiera del Garda and Malcesine.
Wow amazing, Verona looks beautiful just goes to show you can visit anytime and so much quieter . So excited for our trip to Lake Garda in September think we will pop on train to Verona as it looks so good thanks for taking us along

Yes that's why it's called a Juliet balcony...just big enough to call out " 'Wherefore Art Thou Romeo' ....Beautiful city, beautiful visit...you both fitted in quite well in Verona....Zara looked like a sophisticated Italian in her stunning black outfit

What a beautiful vlog. Looks lovely. I love Italy, Ive been once, to see my sister's (now) in laws. Who fed us lunch and dinner and a wonderful time. She currently lives there, with her husband. I hope to visit someday.

It must be 30 years since I visited Verona and Lake Garda. Thank you for taking us with you. Now I want to go back there for another visit.

That food 🤤😍 I went to Verona 35 years ago and I did the Romeo and Juliet tour with the balcony, didn't go onto the balcony though because I didn't think you could back then.
My husband Steve and I visited Verona a few years ago. We actually saw the opera Aida in that stunning arena. It was breathtaking. We were a little pushed for time and so we weren’t able to find an authentic place to eat. We then spotted a familiar name and out of sheer hunger we ended up at McDonalds 🤣 we sat outside and I must say because of the wonderful location it’s the most romantic burger and fries I’ve ever eaten ❤
Omg Verona is on our list this year - a timely travel vlog. Coin department store also in lake como. We also love to see what’s different in the department store e.g Zara, H&M and of course the Italian independent shops. Absolutely love italy

Love Verona, used to pop over for the day from Venice. I once saw Aida at the Verona Arena, but had to take a rain check as there is no roof and rain stopped play! But still an amazing experience. There is a big COIN store in Venice as well as in Verona. So glad you are travelling and enjoying yourselves. Always love your vlogs. ❤

Your air b & b is beautiful and that beach is stunning. Loved seeing the Juliette balcony would love to go there. I loved the film letters to Juliette. Being in Verona and realizing why Juliette balconies are called like that! You are so funny. Thank you for taking us on this lovely trip. I had never thought of Verona if traveling to Italy. Italy is a very good destination, but being Spanish, I'd rather visit London and other English cities than Italy, we are both Mediterranean, so cultures are similar, although the food is always different and unique in every country.
Lovely video, loved the tour.
Winter sales in Italy start in different regions on different dates, but more or less the first/second week of January until the end of February 😊

I'm going to Italy in June, so I'm looking at your Verona, Milan and Venice videos. To this American, your accent is so suave--it's soothing to listen to you. A "Juliet Balcony" is indeed named for Shakespeare's character and named as such because they are small like the one typically found in early productions. It's funny that you keep finding things to buy at Zara in Italy. Zara is also in my dumpy shopping mall in Sacramento, CA. My brother once tried to convince me to buy a jacked at a Zara in Berlin, which seemed ironic when I could get the item at a Zara in the U.S. and not have to stuff it in my suitcase. I'm not against Zara--I like their stuff--but it's funny to me to buy at a shop abroad that seems to be in every city in the world. Anyway, I enjoy your videos.

Was in Verona a good few years ago now. Saw Aida in the arena, totally amazing. So huge they had real camels on stage. All lit by candlelight. It was August and so hot! Went to Lake Garda and swam in the lake....bliss!
Also had an amazing spaghetti with garlic olive oil and parsley. Delicious. Looks like a great winter break!

Verona is really stunning. I was so interested as my dad went there to work in the summer and stayed with a lovely Italian family over there, and my mum went to visit and they went to Lake Garda. I would love to visit I love everything about Italy. Green is def Zara's colour that dress she wore in green was unforgettable on another trip. What a lovely birthday treat.
