I'm pleased subtitles we're added to this interview so us English speaking audience could watch and enjoy. Your work is always of the highest quality. You so throughly deserve this recognition.
Congratulations! That's so nice to see. 😊 We love to watch a skilled craftsman rejuvenate old and broken things that are still beautiful and worth saving to live again. Bravo. 👍🇨🇦💕
You are the best on furniture restoration. I like the love you put in every project. Thank you for showing us your work, it's a pleasure for all of us. Álvaro from Spain.
If anyone deserves the recognition, it's you. There are quite a few "furniture restorers" on RUclips, but very few equal your craftsmanship. I especially like to watch you work. It reminds me of me watching and helping my dad (who would have been 100 in 2022) restore furniture and other items when I was a little boy. He once got a solid oak old staircase from a house that was about to be torn down and refurbished it into a new staircase. The smell of the European oak shavings is something to be experienced! He didn't have the nice tools you have, but what he could do with his hands and simple tools was incredible. I still have a chest of drawers he restored and 6 chairs he re-upholstered. I hope I can pass those on to my children
Same here, Nancy. So many are obviously kind of "fake" where the pieces are very carefully chosen and don't require much more than a bit of stripping and sanding. Channels featuring true fixes and the correct use of different kinds of materials and construction, like Ahti (and Thomas Johnson, also good) are much more rare. There are others that are just painful to watch because the work itself is just sloppy or uninformed. There's a place for all of these videos, nothing against those who watch them, but they're not for me. If someone restores a 100 year old piece of furniture, I like to see them do it in a way that will last the next hundred years, because those wonderful original Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces are never coming back. Let's see some of these "sand and repaint" channels fix a WWII bombed chair like Ahti just did, right down to traditional seaweed/horsehair upholstery methods, and then I might have a bit more respect.
Aww ❤️ You deserve the love and attention. You underestimate how much joy you bring to my life with your videos. I'm so happy that you feel warm reading the comments, that's exactly what's intended.
Congratulations on the success of your channel. You really do deserve all the praise for your work. Everything you work on turns out so beautifully. You are a great teacher. Keep up the good work. 👏🏻👏🏻🇨🇦

Yes, you are really worth the positive comments. I look forward to your videos, especially the ones with a story. In our throw away world it’s mind boggling to think about some of these items surviving a war and makes the people that own them kind of amazing.
Wow a TV interview - congratulations! You were so relaxed, thanks for sharing it with us, great segment. Especially enjoyed the questions - biggest crime against furniture. For me tilting back in a "kitchen" chair - yikes. Yes, I can appreciate nails for you.
How nice for you… to be recognized for your skills! And thank you for the lovely comment about Americans! We usually get such bad press, it’s nice to hear something positive for a change.

Thank you for doing all that work to make your videos! All the planning, shooting, editing... You show genuine craftmanship, love and respect for your work. That is a rare thing these days - but people recognize it when they see it. That inspires! Also you are generous in sharing your experience. In short: thank you for all you do!
Congrats on being viewed on television. That is a huge affirmation of the quality work you are doing on the antiques and your videos. I am enthralled with your upholstery work and the use of "original" materials. I agree that nails can be quite a bother to remove. However, my father-in-law used nails AND screws to fix a table leg! I'm originally from the northern US, but we've moved south, and I find the people here overuse paint when they try to restore furniture. There is nothing that pains me more than to see a solid walnut hutch painted.
Congratulations on all your success, it is well deserved! Your work is impeccable and you are a genuine, humble person. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Ahti, thanks for showing this with subtitles. I watched it before when you mentioned it. I'll tell you why I watch you. You know what you are doing and you competently show your expertise. You explain as you go without droning on & on. You restore not only the functionality but the beauty in each piece. You are a joy to watch. Oh, to answer your final comment, yes, you are worth it.
Yes, you are worth the positive comments. You take something that would have been thrown away and make it beautiful and new again. A new life. In today's throw away world that is a great thing. Do you know that people are not learning how to fix things because it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new one. Take care and keep up the teaching of old days. Have a wonderful day
Wonderful! You deserve it. Many thanks for your videos. I've learned more than a couple things watching you and have taken on projects that I never would have before AND been successful due to what I learned. Thanks Ahti.
Well, here's another American comment. YOU are over the top. I love to see fine craftsmanship, something that is becoming very rare in the USA. Better yet, it shows you care and want to do fine work. You should be proud of your skills and I will tell you I wish you were here in this country because I would be supplying you with some work for sure.
OK, this American is going to leave another kind comment. 😂 Great interview! Thank you so much for the subtitles. I'll confess it is a bit odd to hear your voice after all the videos I've watched, but it was very nice to see another part of you. Keep being your awesome self!
Interesting interview. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers as you are such an interesting person to watch turning broken furniture back to life. I truly enjoy watching you work.
That was fun :) Thank you for providing subtitles, and thanks to ETV for giving you permission to post the interview on your channel. The lady asks good questions :)

I second that.
His work is mind blowing. He is so skilled, it's a wonder he isn't rich.
We may seem superlative but you take broken things and broken dreams and you restore them. It’s just lovely!
Thank you for adding the subtitles so we can watch (and understand).

Have a wonderful day
You are absolutely worth it!
Excellent piece. Very much deserved.
This is great, auntie. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Wonderful! You deserve it. Many thanks for your videos. I've learned more than a couple things watching you and have taken on projects that I never would have before AND been successful due to what I learned. Thanks Ahti.
That is great! And big congratulations! Love following your work and craftsmanship, as well as presentation.
I‘m so glad they let you shine! You deserve it! Such a wonderful interview! ❤
So happy to hear you getting recognized for your amazing work. Your workmanship and attention to detail are amazing.
Yours are my favorite restoration videos.
You are very talented and I am glad I found your videos! So cool!!! Thank you for sharing!
Very interesting. I discovered your channel a few months back and marvel at your restoration skills. It was interesting hearing your stories. Love your restorations!
