      Polla van Rensburg was the driver. The fireman's name I could not trace sofar, but still trying.

    ek was onder die indruk dat die Bloutrein altyd deur 2 lokomotiewe getrek sou word. Dit was om rygerief te verseker.

      Ja, met elektriese trekkrag was meer as een
      lokomotief gebruik om betroubaarheid te verbeter. Rygerief word hoofsaaklik deur suspensie en treinhantering bepaal.

      @@gordonvincent731 It is the vacuum brake handle applying the vacuum powered brakes on the locomotive tender only.
