I love how TobyMac makes his music to where it doesn't just stop at gospel, and opens up to other genres and audiences. I kid you not, I once played this for my friends and they loved it, but were all shocked when I told them it was a Christian artist. A few said they would listen to him, and they are!

He's had a huge impact for Christ. He's one of the boldest if not the boldest Christian artists ever. he's not ashamed of the gospel but just the opposite. This song debuted #1 on the Billboard Top 200. You know how many people will look into his music after this? Many who wouldn't normally check out a Christian artist and his message. Trust God that he's in control and can handle Toby's songwriting decisions.

He told stories about familiar, relevant things to the disciples because he knew that they would understand and relate His stories to their daily lives, helping them understand the truth He was telling. TobyMac is simply placing a mission that God has places us on- running the race marked out for us- into words in a song, as that is how he glorifies God. I don't think hymns are bad, I'm saying that if music like this is needed to relate to the current younger generation, I dont believe He would object to us spreading His word through songs, as they are relevant to us today- in much the same way He spread His word through parables, as they were relevant to his audience.

I saw Toby Mac in concert at the Jones County Fair in Monticello Iowa last night and it was a great time. I was lost when I first got started at this concert but leaving it I felt refreshed and renewed in my faith. Thanks TobyMac for being a great role model and your songs were great when I was being bullied and they still are. I write songs but all of them are too cheesey to post on RUclips.

However, we should reach out to those in the world: "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." You know I love TobyMac and Lecrae because as humans we are surrounded by bad influences and we get led to love rap and rock music that usually does the opposite of honoring God so TobyMac and Lecrae ( and other Christian rap/rock singers ) make Christian rap/rock songs so that we can listen to songs that honor God instead of songs that do the opposite.
