- In part 67 of our Massey Ferguson 135 restoration series I go through the steps to adjust the rear axle bearings on our 6 speed tractor.
Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.
Look at this minty f-er just makin vidjos of what my stunned ass is working on, thanks buddy ❤
Lance.
Thanks for doing these videos. I have learned allot from you.
Thanks Robby, Im glad you get something from the videos, hopefully it helps others too.
Still waiting for the Diff lock shaft/cam. The timing of this excellent tutorial is spot on. Thanks Lance.👌
Thanks Albert.
You are a crafty feller aint ya. Keep smiling Lance
Some times.
Great video Lance, thank you. You did a much better job of explaining all that than I did a few months back. 😊
I might have done a few more than you, lol. Each time I try and better the job I did on the previous similar one.
Another good insider trick or two, really enjoy them.
Thanks David
Excellent!! Looking great!
Coming along slowly.
Great Stuff
Thanks Geoff.
Lance, the Massey Ferguson 100 series was my favorite of the lot, I prefer the Multipower gearbox as you get faster road speed, from my knowledge here in Australia apart from the 135, there was a 148, 155, 165, 168, 175, 178, 185, 188, I reckon you should get the lot, if finances are ok, they would make a great show piece, cheers
G Day John, The other 135 is multipower and I should be seeing what is wrong with it shortly hopefully. They were a great series of tractor for sure.
Do you set the 2 to 8 thou spec for each side? Or just the one side like in the video?
I pulled my axles out and will be putting them back in once the bearings and collars are done so I have to hold my differential lock lever down before putting the right axle back in?
just one side as the axles almost touch in the middle and that gap is what you are measuring.
Hi lance great video , a quick question do you need a gasket on the outside of the shims on the half shaft and what stops the oil from leaking through the shims?
I just use some sealer at times.
Would it be hissing because you've recorded in mono Lance? Hiss through the unused channel...
On my phone, sound seems to be out both speakers.....🤔
I was watching a thing on the new mic set up and they replaced the leads as they were the problem, they bought a different brand of lead and it tidied it up. I have got another Bose cable we will try, and a Tascam 70dr to adjust it out. In the big shed there is always wind from outside and birds etc being heard, always noise up here.
I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it Lance 😀
The birds and background are to be expected, don't think you have to worry to much about that 👍 But it is now Bundywood Productions so......😂
lol.
What do you measure the shims with?
digital vernier calipers is good enough.
Can we adjust it with a caliper how can I arrange it teacher
Yes with a caliper you could get a measurement of axle movement.
Teacher how can we not measure it with a caliper 👋❤
Yes we can
