Did you know that the Ningbo Metro line 4 uses both overhead wires (DC 1.5kV) and third rail (for returning current) for electrification?! Unusual right?

@@TheSearleFamily123 that's interesting, never heard of that before, the only thing remotely similar is how the London tube has 4 rails inside of 3 because the current is returned in the 4th rail

What made me shudder was to see how hard it is to pull yourself up out of that pit without help.

There is no third rail. If there was, it would be clearly visible on the FAR side, away from passengers.

Plus, there isn't actually any third rail in there. We can actually *see* the overhead wires.

What bollocks. Even if there was it would be on far side.

Southmead Lad not necessarily. I've been in active subway stations where the rail is on either side.

At least that makes it slightly safer..???...I've never been....Let's say I've never been drunk on subway tracks before..

That's illegal I think. If one drops something onto the tracks and must retrieve it, staff must always be contacted for assistance. And like I said it must be illegal to self-access the track area.
