Julie! It was so lovely to meet you and hang out at Stitch North. Loved your finish of the Tiny Modernist pattern! Cannot wait to see you and Alexis in Colorado real soon 💜
Hey Julie! It was so great to meet you at Stitch North! Can’t wait to do it all again next year! I’m excited to see your progress on Nuri’s Queen Charlotte piece. That red and lavender combo is so good!
Julie! Greetings from Dallas!!! I’m so glad you liked your small and the goodies I put with it!! You are correct, the stone on the floss ring is goldstone. I’m registered for Weekend Two next year, too! I’m already excited! It was so great to meet you at Stitch North! I didn’t realize who you are until one of my table mates told me. I’m a subscriber now!!
What a fun video! What a joy to see you meet so many of the folks you have been talking about for years! Your Bridgestone piece is wonderful - what a fun process! I soooo love the book talk! I always add to my tbr. Thank you for sharing!
I have another pattern request-not the mushrooms but the sewing machine behind you with what looks like Endora sitting on it with scissors. I need to stitch this one !
Maybe I should do a quick “tour” in my next video! That one is from an Etsy seller called Little Room in the Attic. I think it was called Sewing Girl and the pattern had different skintones and hair colors to customize!
Wow Julie, great video! I agree that Tiny Modernist is a superb designer and I think I have just about all of her designs. Your Let’s Bee Friends is adorable and I think the flat fold is a great idea. I am curious about the 2 pillows behind you: the one ate your top right which says something about good in the world and then the other one with Gaiman’s quote about living in books. Would you kindly share the names of the patterns? Thanks and I hope your Spring is very stitchy productive. All the best, Gisela
Thank you! The some good in the world was a limited time pattern by Darling & Whimsy Designs for charity. She did rerelease it a month or so ago but I think it’s unavailable again. It might be one she brings out yearly for fundraising. The other one is a Stonestreet Stitchworkes pattern called Bookhouse and should still be available. I did change up the colors on that one!
Thanks for sharing your projects and new acquisitions! Hopefully your part of CO has better weather...in the mountains west of continental divide we're still getting snow flurrries. 🙄🤣 At least the chilly weather allows for more stitching time.
I promise I am approachable! 🤣 please please let’s say hi in person next year! I’m going to bring goodies and try to make the rounds and meet more people next time.
It was so great to meet you at Stitch North! Nati was on a round robin recruiting mission so I’m excited to work on those with everyone and finish next year 🔔 I think some series the book reviews can be stand alone sans other times you have to discuss it as a whole, if the series is complete I do tend to prefer that because some books either take a while to hit their stride or hit a slump
Your Tiny Modernist finish is fantastic. I can't believe I missed this episode! Sounds like it was a fun retreat! You mentioned that the frame for your tarot card piece is actually 5 stitches alternating colors. I was so sad. I thought it was such a beautiful have dyed floss and I was going to add it to my shopping list. Have you seen "Neon Nocturne" by BAD Stitch? It's a Lisa Frank meets Halloween bat. So cute! You'd love it and it would be fast. 64x64
I don’t know if I’ve seen that particular pattern but badstitch is awesome! And yes, several people told me they thought it was a variegated floss on the border. I wouldn’t blame anyone for subbing in one like Threadworx Bradley’s Balloon! The effect is sooooooo cool but it’s definitely a pain
Julie! I absolutely love Emily Henry too. I have not read Funny Story yet, got it on my tbr. My order is Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation, Book Lovers, Happy Place. PWMOV was hilarious, like I was cackling almost the whole book. Happy Place was good, but also really sad to me which is why it is my bottom pick. It did inspire me to start taking pottery classes though 😂
Happy Place was SO SAD! Loved the friend group but it was heartbreaking seeing them growing apart. Even though I might rank PWMOV “last,” I still absolutely loved it. Like LOVED it! 😍
Hi Julie! I think your aurora borealis fabric would look awesome with Maroony’ unicorn design called Azaad. Have you seen / stitched that before? Anyway, I thought I’d drop the suggestion! Thanks for sharing your wonderful stitching, I love watching your flosstube!!!
I have a tin that I carry in my bag with a bunch of "it's you i like" that I hand out to people who make me smile. It's an easy way to spread joy when I'm out and about.
The four of us all start our own, then pass it around and the last person finishes it then sends it back to the person who started it. I was the second person to work on the Elegant Squid piece, started by Tara. It will go to Maryam for the third section, then another Julie will finish it and send back to Tara. We’ll all get to stitch on four different Ink Circles patterns, but only keep the one we started
Loved your 'I'm not going to recap' recap of Stitch North. ☺ And that Witchy Stitcher tarot fabric is soooooo good! I can definitely see the rainbow 😍
Little sprinkles of Stitch North! 🤣 Is it May 2025 yet? 😭😭😭
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. It was so nice to meet you at StitchNorth. Happy stitching!
Karen, thank you so much for coming up and introducing yourself! I loved meeting you and hope you got home okay’
Julie! It was so lovely to meet you and hang out at Stitch North. Loved your finish of the Tiny Modernist pattern! Cannot wait to see you and Alexis in Colorado real soon 💜
❤️❤️❤️
So glad you had fun at Stitch North! It’s so amazing getting to meet and stitch with others… and for real the generosity of retreaters is 👀
I’ve got a whole year to plan and bring my A game on treats for next year! 🤣
I totally love the Tiny Modernist stitch with you and Alexis!!!
Hey Julie! It was so great to meet you at Stitch North! Can’t wait to do it all again next year! I’m excited to see your progress on Nuri’s Queen Charlotte piece. That red and lavender combo is so good!
Soooooo glad to meet you too! And the combo is working out perfect 😍
Glad you had fun at Stitch North!
I finally got Thirza Goes Goth started! Such a fun stitch! ❤
Yay!!! I just love her so much - should I stitch her a 4th time? 🤣
I loved Emily Henry's Beach Read - I couldn't put it down. So glad you had a great time at Stitch North. Awesome stitching as usual!!
I definitely need a reread of Beach Read! That book got me hooked on contemporary romance 😍

Oh yayyyyy!!! I’m so glad you found me! I cannot wait to do it all again next year ❤️

Glad you enjoyed it! I didn’t include all the pics - I can’t believe how many people I “knew” there!
Lovely video! It was great to hear about your time at Stitch North, and I absolutely adore your stitching work.
Thank you so much!

Loved your “not recap of Stitch North”. It was so fun to meet you in person. Hopefully we can connect in CO….Annie
❤️❤️❤️ I’m so glad we finally got to meet but sad I didn’t get a chance to really hang out with you for awhile! Are you going next year?

I saw there was some crazy snow the past week! Good ole Colorado 🤣
it was great meeting you! You have done so much since stitch north!!
It was awesome meeting you too! So many amazing new friends ❤️
I'm collecting the patterns for The Witchy Stitcher Tarot. I just have not found the right fabric yet.
I was at Stitch North 2 but was too shy to approach you. I love your videos and have signed up for SN 2 next year
I promise I am approachable! 🤣 please please let’s say hi in person next year! I’m going to bring goodies and try to make the rounds and meet more people next time.
So happy we got to meet and can’t wait to connect again next spring - the Star Wars shenanigans will definitely be afoot! 😅😅
I can’t wait to dream up all the Star Wars goodies! 😍
That bag from Lollypops is fantastic!!!
❤❤❤I love how colorful your background looks like! And yes! I went to bed around 7 am today! Could not put the phone down watching Brigerton 😊
😍😍😍 I think it’s time to reorganize the shelves because new books are overflowing, but I’m keeping the rainbows!
