Love that mushroom pattern. Can’t wait to see your new sampler. Ok books-just added Before I Let Go to my TBR. I really struggled getting through Starling House. I loved The Frozen River, maybe because I listened to it on audio. Keep the book talk coming. 📖🥰
I listened to Starling House on audio and I did enjoy it but it dragged a bit in the end. I was very ready for it to be over but it wasn’t like it was bad…just really ready to be done by the last 20%!!! I also listened to Frozen River - I’ve been bingeing audiobooks like a fiend lately 🤣
OMG! I'm left handed and I really, really struggle with French knots, to the point where I don't do them--I won't tell you what I do to resemble a French knot. It's a bit embarrassing. Thanks for the idea of the Colonial knot. I'll give that a try.
I find it amazing people can stitch in the car. I’ve tried with 14ct Aida and nope…all the bumps make the needle bounce way off. Of course maybe it’s just i45 to and from Houston…doubtful. I still try a bit, but I usually put the stitching away sooner rather than later.
I feel so lucky that I can do it! However, I have through trial and error really honed in on the type of projects that will work for me in the car. Also, the road condition really does make a difference. There were a few stretches of I-70 that got way too bouncy and I had to take a break!
Love that little fox biscornu and Kiki Mora! I loved Fangirl Down too… but you know, like you, I’ll probably read and love anything Tessa Bailey writes. 😂❤
You're killing me on the owl forest...I am still holding out, but girl you rnable me way too much 😂 yours all look so fabulous! And loving those shrooms 😊 on the books, gracious I can talk all day. The Moning series is actually at the top of my pile of re-reads. My eldest daughter just returned them to me. We were just talking about loving to re-read some of our classic favorites. Just finished a re-read of sherilyn Kenyon novels recently. Thanks for continued inspiration 😊
Really enjoyed my reread of the Fever series last year. So excited for her new book. Also enjoyed Fangirl Down and have Au Pair Affair checked out right now. Clearly I need to read Starling House. Because ✨vibes✨
I'm from Russia and I'm obsessed with your channel and book recommendations. Love your Owl Forest finishes! I don't want to be a bore, but maybe you're interested. Kikimora is pronounced with an accent on the second "i". Yaga in Baba Yaga is pronounced with emphasis on the last syllable.
I just finished reading/listening to the entire Outlander Series. It will be interesting to see how the series corresponds. Nice stitching, as always. 💜💜💜
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 Very true. And when you listen to them and read them, something new is always brought to the attention of the "reader".
Yes, I do! I do not leave word reviews but I do give my books star ratings as I finish them. I mostly just use it track the books I’m reading for my yearly challenge. I’m now thinking I should be leaving a goodreads link in all of my videos. I’m gonna paste it here but if it doesn’t work, check out the drop box in my new video and I’ll link it there!
Great flosstube, as always! That mushroom pattern looks so much fun! Have you read any of the Stariel series by A J Lancaster or T Kingfisher's world of the White Rat books?
@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 they are two of my favourite series, ones I go back to for a comfort read. I definitely recommend Stariel if you are looking around for a new fantasy/romance read. The first book is quite cosy, and the series gets more dramatic and epic (and spicier) as it goes along. The first audiobook is great too, it's read by Finty Williams (Judy Dench's daughter). I think I've talked myself into a re-read!
I come for the cross stitch, but always find myself getting the BEST book recs from you! Love your Book Joy. Thank you!
Yay! Thank you!
Love your finishes and your progress on your beautiful wips. Happy stitching!
I just went back in and watched your book section again! I love love your book section and the whole stitching videos ❤
Thank you! I’m so glad to hear some people love the book talk because I know I can get rambly 🤣
Lovely finishes. And that was a lot of books ☺
I am so glad to hear you talk about colonial knots , I just can’t do French knots but I can do Colonial ones. And I am right handed .
They are so much easier for my brain to figure out 🤣

That biscornu is adorable!
The colors on that mushrooms piece 😍
Can't wait to see your new sampler!
I've been on a stichy-stall but reading a bunch! We don't read the same genres, but Frozen River is on my TBR. I love historical fiction!

Definitely give it a try! My French knot attempts were a JOKE 🤣
Now I need that mushroom pattern!!!!!😍😍😍

I really don’t get the hate for Tessa Bailey! Her books aren’t literary masterpieces 🤣 but they’re always insanely easy to read and fun!
So great to see you. 🌻🌻🌻

Those Fever novels really hold up, even with the outdated technology! I love Dani more than anything!
Your new starts are fantastic!

Starling House is for sure your vibe! I’m excited to see how Karen Marie Moning’s next series is and happy you picked it for book club 😍

Thank you! I’ve heard it pronounced so many ways and never quite sure what’s “right”
Now I need to go purchase some charts ..... ;)

I love them so much! They never get old 😍

The Star Wars piece is beautiful!
Pequod and I LOVE it! The best swap surprise ever! 😍 We are some lucky foxes to have you as a friend
Love you both!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Do you have a Goodreads? I added so many books to my TBR list after listening to this episode.

I haven’t heard of the first but I have read one or two books by TK Kingfisher and very much enjoyed!
