Hey everyone, welcome to the penultimate episode of my Indigo Disk Let's Play for Pokemon Violet! We're FINALLY hanging out with Perrin once again and looking for some new Paradox Pokemon!
Episode 14 (the final episode of the Indigo Disk LP) is all ready to go for tomorrow, by the way -- got done editing it just after I got home from my IRL job, so that technically means this LP is in the books as of whatever point tomorrow that I publish it. And as I've pointed out a few times, I'm gonna Let's Play the last little bit of story content that will be going out for Scarlet and Violet next week, so be on the looking for however many videos that ends up being sometime after that release date.
I hope everyone's Thursday is going well so far! In any case, DRINK WATER

QOTD: My favorite Paradox Pokémon is probably Iron Valiant, even though I've never actually used one.
I had trouble finding both Paradox Pokémon, but I got lucky with catching Iron Crown. Caught it in a single Quick Ball.
Iron Boulder is the first Rock/Psychic Pokémon since Solrock and Lunatone, thus also making it the first Pokémon with this type combo to not have Levitate.
Forgot to mention this after the last video, but the Item Printer allows you to do five or ten printing jobs at once too, as long as you've inserted the appropriate amount of materials and BP. This allows you to reach the required number of uses faster in order to upgrade it.

Iron Valiant is really good! Its offensive stats let you do a couple different things with it and run it in a few different ways depending on what your team needs. I've had a fair bit of success running a Special set!

@@SuperNerdDaniel Yeah, I've seen a playthrough team or two use it to great effect, and I'm tempted to give it a whirl myself.
PS. Just one week left before the epilogue comes out. I'm planning on playing it on the day it comes out.

Great Tusk, and Scream Tail probably my favourite paradox pokemon.

Valid choices! Speaking of which, don't know if you were watching Portland Regionals, but Scream Tail had a real good showing this past weekend

@SuperNerdDaniel No, I haven't seen any the Portland regionals.

@@Lost-Mind Ah, fair, fair -- if you get the chance, check out the VGC VODs, especially the Top 8 cut, Scream Tail was pretty prominent in some of those matchups!

    Indigo Disk Episode 13 comments:
    - Lacey's little anecdote makes me think that the BB League is like that group of guys sitting at a picnic table in this one Thomas Sanders vine. He goes up to the table and says "Story time! In every group of friends, there's the dumb one" and then all the guys point to one person at the table and that guy says "Really?" If that happened at Blueberry Academy, Drayton would be the one everyone points to.
    - QOTD: In all honestly, I don't like the Paradox Pokemon. I hate them as a concept, I hate their uninspired naming convention (especially the future ones), and along with the "convergent evolutions," this is the first time I've actually believed that Game Freak is running out of ideas. If I absolutely had to pick one as my favorite, I suppose it would be Iron Valiant. Unlike all the other Paradox Pokemon, which are clearly based on one Pokemon in particular, Iron Valiant takes inspiration from both Gardevoir and Gallade, which is a neat idea that I wish they had done more of with the others.

QOTD: Easy answer for me: Great Tusk. Not only my favorite paradox, but my favorite Gen 9 Pokémon so far. I’ve always been interested in Donphan (elephants are my favorite animal), but never had a good opportunity to use it, so seeing it get an awesome-looking upgrade was great. I also used the Titan one on my team, and it was one of my best members. And this is all without me seeing a lick of competitive play, but it makes me happy to see it doing so well.

Of course Perrin's got to snap a picture of you. You've shown up in Drayton's stolen clothes so in case she needs blackmail material 😂
Oh and I caught a shiny Hawlucha while watching this.

Hey, what do you mean "stolen", he GAVE those to me as a sign of our bond! She just wanted to snap some photos of the main character, that's all.
And congrats on the Shiny Hawlucha! 👏👏👏
