    Omg, you are so right. Fiber and drinking more water has never helped me relieve constipation. Fiber definitely makes it worse for me.
    I really hope the Betain HCL helps. I bought some Betaine HCL and Tudca. It just arrived tonight. I'm going to start trying it tomorrow.
    I've been constipated since around March 17th. I was in the ER twice. Food was backing up or wasn't going down and digesting. So many things are disagreeing with me (I have a pretty healthy diet). However, I lost 20 lbs. I can't afford to lose anymore. I finally got in to see a GI doc. He put me on Linzess. That helped move the food from my stomach into the intestines. And has been helping to relieve the pain. But still constipated :/ Took laxatives and enemas but still not cleaned out enough. It's still causing a chain reaction backing up. But things are at least getting softer now with Linzess and Miralax. I hope the Betaine HCL and Tudca does the last trick to help move things along.

      That is incredibly unlikely given water fasting is the fastest way to heal just about any ailment. Especially going over 7 days, but it's not "sexy".. so it's hard to make money off. Whilst you're taking in food, there's only so much healing that can be done.

  • @chadzilla45

    The trick to having a properly acidic stomach is most of the time, to get enough salt in your diet. The chloride part of salt is one of the ingredients of hydrochloric acid. Thankfully everyone's body is a good chemist.
    Also you should eat less fiber to help keep your stomach pH low. Less grains, less dairy, less vegetables and less fruit will help improve your acidity.
    Keep it simple like a strict carnivore and your stomach pH is nice and low like a vulture's. You'll basically never get food poisoning b.c your stomach is essentially battery acid.

    I love your videos but the links you provided here to studies/trials need some contextual clarification.
    Fiber is not the bad guy and it's definitely not a "cure all" substance.
    The NCBI and Pubmed studies you provided mention only insoluble fiber and make no mention of soluble fiber. Very different kind of fiber and most often, unless you're eating wood chips, any whole food from a plant source will include both kinds of fiber in it.
    Sure, if you're chronically constipated, it makes no sense to flood your system with insoluble fiber. That makes no common sense.
    BUT
    Soluble fiber along with water intake can definitely be a good start.
    Also, let's not forget the benefits of both insoluble and soluble fiber in healthy situations such as - prebiotic, ensure full bowel movements, helps weight management, sugar, cholesterol etc. etc.
    And finally, the Pubmed article also states that there is no evidence to the "theory" that: "...poisonous substances from stools within the colon are absorbed...". We all know that it is indeed happening as many functional doctors have demonstrated that, and I know you believe that as well so it makes it look like you speak from both sides of your mouth a little :)

    • @KickItNaturally
      @KickItNaturally  7 месяцев назад

      Seems like you missed the point of the video. The type of fiber has no determining factor if the real cause of the constipation is low stomach acid or an imbalance that is sending most of the water to the kidneys and not enough to the bowels. In that scenario, increasing water doesn't improve the constipation, it just makes them pee more.

    • @Handheldsounds
      @Handheldsounds 7 месяцев назад

      @@KickItNaturally Thanks for replying. I did understand the topic of the video. But the title is a bit bombastic with the notion that Fiber is a big lie. We all know that fiber is essential.
      About low stomach acid, it's still a controversial topic for me. The problem is that the "at home tests" with baking soda or with a trial of Betaine/HCL pills is not a means of diagnostics really. The best way I know of is through the The Heidelberg pH test to directly test the stomach. The other way is using a BRAVO pill that attaches to the esophagus. Curiously, almost no insurance will pay for the Heidelberg test :/
