    That makes a lot of sense about the pencil writing on the frosted section! Thanks for the tips, Karl

    Thank you for doing this how-to video. I struggle with windows on my builds. Please do another on attaching windows, with focus on attachment points and glue used.

      Thank you very much James, that's very appreciated. I'm glad I could help you with my little tutorial. I will keep your suggestion in mind for future tutorial videos James. Unfortunately these windows are already attached to the body, but I filmed most of the process so I can include some information with the next Toyota Exiv update video.

      Thank you Bob, that's very appreciated and so glad you like 👍🏼 Yes I agree, with some minor modifications it can be adapted for other uses too. Do you have anything in particular where this could also be used?

      @@KarlScaleModeling. Yes. Making glass for custom chopped tops for one. This would make it easier to do instead of the way I do them now.
      Anything that you can use the tape with will work too. Like custom dashes and guages.

      Perfectly agree Bob, nice tips and ideas there. Will definitely keep that in mind for future projects. Thanks again 👍🏼👍🏼

    Great stuff Karl.... question... do you leave it to completely dry before starting to remove the masks?

    • @KarlScaleModeling
      @KarlScaleModeling  2 года назад

      Thank you Adrian, your support towards my work and channel is very appreciated. So.. let's answer :) When I use the Humbrol 85, it takes longer to dry so I clean the airbrush and remove them right away, when the paint is still a bit 'sticky'. When I use the Tamiya X-18, I remove the masks right after I airbrush the last coat. This dries much quicker and I try to remove them before the paint dries completely. Hope that helps my friend.

    nice vid, friend👍👍. i do the same, but marker instead of pencil

    • @KarlScaleModeling
      @KarlScaleModeling  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for your feedback Oleg, very appreciated and so glad you like. Do you use a particular marker? Because markers will write on both the frosted and clear pieces. That's why I use the pencil 👍🏼

      @@KarlScaleModeling Hi Karl, i use common permament office/home black marker. Just accurately accent the frosted area and then wash it wirh acrylic thinner. I just have a fear that i may crack clear area with pencil if i mess up :))

    • @KarlScaleModeling
      @KarlScaleModeling  2 года назад

      Thanks for the info my friend, good idea and I'll try that out too. Haha, with the pencil I don't have that fear, but when using the eraser sometimes I do.. yes! But just a little bit, because no accidents happened so far using this method ☺️ Well done for your latest Evo X project, super cool result 👍🏼👍🏼
