FINAL SALUTE HONORING LARRY CAREY APRIL 27 2024 RIP

LAWRENCE FRANCIS CAREY JR, USARMY SPECIAL FORCES - Combat MEDIC. Served in Laos - CIA & USARMY supported by Royal Laos Army to prevent and deter Communist troops and supplies using Ho Chi Minh Trail in Laos from reinforcing Viet Cong during Vietnam War. Laos citizens were recruited by CIA- USArmy and trained for Special Guerrilla Units (SGU) - regular Royal Laos Army forces joined the CIA - USArmy to support efforts in Vietnam War. Larry Carey spoke Laos and formed close life-long friendships with Laos brothers he met in Laos and later in USA. No mention of service in Laos or Cambodia is mentioned on official military records, but Larry earned 3 Purple Hearts and Bronze medal for his service fighting in Laos. He will always be respected and honored for his bravery and his leadership by his Laos SGU RLA brothers and sisters. Larry met his Laos "brother" Manousack aka JIMMY Athakhanh in 1969 aboard C-47 flight to Royal Laos Army base for elite jump school certification. Larry was only American on flight, and wore only jeans and t-shirt, no military uniforms allowed in Laos. Soon after, Jimmy and Larry met again in Thailand where Larry was officially in USArmy uniform training the Laos SGU forces. Royal Thailand Army and USA trained Laos and Cambodia irregulars in Thailand for service in Laos as Special Guerrilla Units.
