Thank you so much taking us around Canterbury. We haven’t discovered enough last time, because it was only a short stop over, when coming from the ferry in Dover and heading to the north. So I’m really happy to see a little more about what we’ve missed. ☺️
Another great video and great music - when I saw you were visiting Whitstable, I was going to say you could have dropped by the Whitstable Oyster Company, but then found you did - excellent choice. And spot on about the fresh air and clear skies - thanks for posting this and bringing back more happy memories! And just got to the end of your video - when I wake up, that was clever!
@@MikeFromKorea I'm not surprised. Oh, and I just watched your latest one, walking to Chilham, and again really enjoyed it - especially as you got in a mention of my old school at the end at St Augustine's!
Love this video, felt like I was on the walk with you. Unfortunately I wasn't in the restaurant with you having the most delicious fish and chips and cheese cake.
'Hills are green....', I now realise that my 'everyday experiences ' such as (too😖) fresh constant NE air , ancient graveyards and churches (my local church is nearly 1000 years old en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Doulagh%27s_Church , and 'Chippers' as we call them in Ireland (('Chippies' here are carpenters) with a basically unhealthy menu of fried fish and chips with salt and vinegar...thought there's always a queue of customers every evening in most of them..) are novel to others, likewise when I'm in Korea as you know, I notice things that you take as normal....that's what makes travel interesting.. Of course rural 'Olde England' is totally different from the metropolis of London..chalk and cheese😊
Indeed! The curse of familiarity. That crossed my mind several times while I was there. Every time I visit, I see two or three things I'd been wanting to see since I was a child. Places and objects I'd read about in history books and biographies. And while I'm there, there's so much about the surroundings---the architecture, the vegetation, the terrain---that is far outside of my experience in America and Korea. I catch myself thinking how awesome it would be to live there and then tell myself I'd probably grow numb to most of it, much as I hardly notice the palaces, the gates, or the city wall here in Seoul anymore unless I consciously pay attention to it all.
@@MikeFromKorea yep, everyday I see Christchurch and St Patricks cathedral and the Brazen Head pub, all from around the 1100s, and old graveyards dating back to those times....often think about the reasoning and expense of building such structures, to 'leave it for future generations that'll remember me....' ?? Maybe ? Nowadays we're more concerned with just getting by day to day, and leave our digital signature... your videos will be there for future generations, and especially historians.. ''look at this guy Mike from 200 years ago, it was a great place then" 🤗🤗
We have done this same walk, it's so lovely.
I enjoyed it very much. I had a few more fantastic walks before it was all over.
배경 음악이 아주 분위기가 있는 멋진 느낌입니다
감사합니다
덕분에 영국 시골(?)을 몇년만에 보네요.
하루 매시간 행복하시길!
감사합니다!

It's a great little spot.

Thanks! That is such a good restaurant. My wife wants to go back after watching me enjoy it again.
