So i know this case is supposed to be used for watercooling. But would ik be good if i use aircooling with it? I've never done watercooling before and given my personal situation, it would be easier to do an aircooled rig. I really like this case!
I like the fact that they thought outside the box and gave it the angled glass opposed to going with a traditional design. Awesome video guys keep it up!!!
You're probably the ONLY channel in all of RUclips that once in a while shows us the finished build at the BEGINNING of the video. That's a great way to keep me hooked until the very end. Keep up the great content!!
Looks out fucking standing. That case is completely badass. I have the '011 dynamic and I definitely think this case looks better than my dynamic, mostly because of the total glass front without the metal edge. That's pretty badass Yeah it's a fish tank but it's damn good looking fish tank
i think if you care about aesthetic the fish tank thing is a plus, not a minus. if you think about how people put figurines and what have you inside their case, it’s like a terrarium for them. lots of customization possibilities there.
I think the price is pretty okay for something this special, especially with the included PCIe 4 riser. As long as the build quality is up to par with e.g. Lian Li.
No full height add-on cards and mandatory vertical graphic card install kills it for me. I've built one of these for a friend and it was excellent! Very nice build quality and looks great!
Very happy with my LIAN LI LANCOOL II MESH C RGB BLACK Tempered Glass ATX Case - Black Color got it off of eBay 131 in total Canadian delivered to my door the build was absolutely wonderful in it lots of room with good ventilation...
That White ToughRam is hard to get. Good for you man. All the parts I want are rare. Thermaltake ToughRam white, SilverStone IceGem 280mm and Deepcool Captain 240 X White
If they would do a smaller version of this exclusively for ITX/mATX builds I'd get one for my wife in a heartbeat. Looking to slowly start piecing together a system for her over the next couple of months so she can dump her slow laptop as a daily driver repurposing some ITX/mATX sided bits & pieces I already have (1660 Super MSI Aero for example) so a big case would just be overkill even though I'm sure she'd love this design.
Don't forget you can have some half height cards (like a video capture or Thunderbolt etc.) under the PCIe extension and hidden away behind the gfx card.
Please always add at least the RPMs of the fans when comparing the temps with side panels on and off on cases. Yeah, clearly the temp is going to be highter. But how do the fans react as well? Otherwise nice build and good review.
I've been looking at everyone's build in this case, and yours look the best. I think it's probably that Aorus GPU, looks sick. Lian Li fans look dope. Great build man.
This is one of the "Shut up and take my money" cases I would gladly get if I get the chance, specially that the cinematic had my two favorite colors 💙💜, Not to mention that the vedio was so epic as usual 🔥🦋
hey, im not sure if you still have your setup hooked up the same way, but do keep in mind that you want the intake and output for the radiator to be lower in your loop. Having it set up like this COULD lead (over time, so like no immediate danger) to air pockets getting trapped where the water should be going in or coming out, making your pump have to work harder and risking air running all the way through your loop which could burn out the pump, again over time. Turning the radiator upside down from its current orientation shown here would prevent this and keep the air trapped where it has no risk of this happening. Also be sure every now and then that you refill the loop with distilled water, other than that you're set! P.S. if i didnt explain this very well, there are youtube videos on the specific details of how the orientation of your loop can affect its performance over time
I have to say that between you and Paul's build from Paul's Hardware your build is the most cleanest and more revealing. I love this case down side the side the cost should have been 79.99😜😜. But overall that is the awesome build I seen so far with the Hyte Y60 PC case loved the presentation video.
Heh, I laughed out loud at the thumbs-up "GOOD ENOUGH!" Thanks for going over the case... I just found your channel and am now subscribed. :) Looking forward to your full water cooled build.
How do the 2 side fans influance the negative air pressure and cooling? with RGB fans it looks way better but is it worth it to have them as exhaust instead of the more logic intake configuration?
I like that the riser cable and vertical mount actually stands off from the bottom side of the motherboard too! Does it look like there would be enough room to sneak an Elgato HD60 Pro in one of the lower slots behind the GPU as well? That's always been a dream aspect of a build to me. I love vertical mounted GPU's, but on a full ATX board, you lose access to the lower slots. Would this case remedy that?
Great question! The Elgato HD60 Pro comes with a low-profile bracket that will allow it to be used in the Y60. Thanks and we hope this answers your question!
@@hytebrand OH awesome! I'm about to upgrade my current build, but when I can afford it, I'll try to get one of these! The red would look awesome with the components I have! Thank you for the reply! :)
how did something so obvious get overlooked for so long? I'm never going to be able to look at a case with a clear front panel and a bulky corner bit the same ever again...
The case looks great but where do you put all your storage? With all software provided nowdays and it being expected to be downloaded on your local drives, this must be a big issue with these type of cases?
Good looking case but the GPU placement is a huge issue, in my opinion. Its literally blowing right in front of the glass. A 75C underload, from his testing, seems good but I wonder if it would get hotter on load for more intensive games.
@@stormchasingk9 Removing the glass is also subject to your room temperature and if you have dust in your room too. I think this case is good if you go with a custom water coolant system that cools the GPU. That way the fan blowing into the glass and no glass needs to be removed. Then again, water cooling is probably the only way to get your GPU to stay in the high 60s or low 70s during heavy load. 75-80 is decent for fan set up.
The problem with cases like this with no fans in the front is that you have to face every good looking side of the fans inwards so you just have the bottom fans that pull fresh air in. Otherwise it would look stupid.
The first time I saw the case on Gamers Nexus..I knew I was gonna like it and I definitely did..This going to feature in my First watercooled build this Xmas

Solid review Josh! Looking forward to the water cooled build! I’m actually getting one myself for a build, can’t wait.
Hi TechSource, big fan of yours. I hope you feel better soon!

oh shit hey ed

cant wait to see it!
That's actually a pretty good price for such an extravagant looking case.
Right we thought the same thing
@@TechTesseract what aio did you use???

Not big enough. With the 4000 series your going to need a massive monster thick rad to keep it cool

I completely agree. It's a fish tank, but nice looking PC case as well
You can remove the metal bar at the front of the o11 and have a all glass front and side
now I want a pc case that has a fish tank in it.......

ive seen 4 builds today all with this new case.. i like your build the best.. + you can't beat the plant :-)
Bro youre going places! This was such a good video!
It's really hard to find a really modern looking case, so far only the O11 and this Hyte case fits my taste
Why is the build so clean though 😭
are your temps fine with all fans as exhaust?
Im literally thinking same. How temp are low if you have only exhaust fans!!
Bottom intake
I haven't watched all the video yet, but had to comment on that computer case.. It is a very nice looking setup, I love it..
I want that tune, that outro music went in!
AGST - Flaw
This case is ahead of my time
GN shows not so great thermals for this case using air fans, but I'm curious how well that could be countered if using good fans/ good fan placement
Yet GN still recommends this case. It’s not all about thermals. It does help with planning the build and understanding what you’re getting.
Love the size and shape of this case.
I’m probably gonna buy this for my first build
Please add some bracket mount points for a LCD TV wall mount bracket.

You can't mount your graphic card horizontally in this case ?

How big is the 4090 that your fitting in there and which model is it exactly/brand?
I can keep an aquarium on my desk now.

There are only exhaust fans in this case! So how do you cooldown your PC?! Is this negative airflow??
What is that turn table called?
How do the 2 side fans influance the negative air pressure and cooling? with RGB fans it looks way better but is it worth it to have them as exhaust instead of the more logic intake configuration?
Was wondering the same thing, looks good but there's no intake fans only exhaust.
Really good idea to convert an old fish tank.

So as far as I can see it's not possible to build in a additional sound card because there is only place for one card?
