Miss universe live “via satellite” omg times have changed!! I couldn’t decide if that dress was hideous or if I absolutely loved it?! Being 1975 I’m sure it’s the reason she won!
Summer is wearing a very expensive original designer gown. The winners are usually unique different gowns. Miss Puerto Rico with the chain gown, Catriona Gray with the red lava fire dress! Summer was ahead of her time!
The ICON that started it all was in the 1971 MsU when LEBANON’s Georgina Rizk won wearing a traditional harem inspired sheer gown over a pair of hot pants which is so fashion-forward at that time!

@@missnuska8766 the recording of this pageant that this excerpt is taken from actually starts at the end of the swimsuit competition so it’s incomplete. I know that because I remember years ago when they were all on this digital archive sight that the Miss Universe org was using to store their videos. Barely any pageant fans knew about it, I myself just found it by coincidence.
Does anyone know what ever happened to Summer? Did she ever get married or have a family? There's very little info on her other than she worked on Sale of the Century with Jim Perry. I wonder where she is now?
I believe she is enjoying her quiet life in Fresno, California since the end of Sale of the Century in 1989. Before her first episode of Sale on December 31, 1984, Summer also co-hosted Wheel of Fortune several times between 1977 and 1982 filling in for Susan Stafford, and she even auditioned for a whole week or two of shows just after Susan's final episode that aired October 22, 1982, ultimately losing to Vanna White.
The dress worn by Karen Morrison in her final walk is one of the most fantastic dresses I've ever seen. She ended her reign with class..... Greetings from Brazil....🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
