  • 1 HOUR AGO: Hamilton UNCERTAIN About Ferrari Move as Mercedes Rebounds
Lewis Hamilton shook the F1 world by announcing his transfer to Ferrari during the winter break. Last year, Mercedes struggled, but this year, the team is performing much better. Would Hamilton still have made the same choice, given Mercedes' improvement? He answered this question at Silverstone, sparking more speculation and excitement.
After many successful years with the Mercedes team and winning many championships, Lewis Hamilton announced in February that he would be joining Ferrari in 2025. Although rumors about Hamilton moving to Ferrari had circulated before, not many believed it would actually happen.
In 2023, Hamilton was often unhappy with his Mercedes car, frequently complaining about its problems and lack of speed. However, this season has been much better. Mercedes has introduced effective updates, and the team is now more competitive, often fighting at the front of the field.

Why is it hard for people to understand Mercedes pushed out Hamilton? Did you miss James Allison admitting to this in his last Off The Grid interview? Hamilton only responded, so if there is to be an about turn, it will be from.... u guessed it, Mercedes.

You do not even need any interview. Just only a 1 year contract proposal told Him everything He needed to know. The "Plus one" broke the Camels back.

@@ronmurray7349 From minute 39:00 Allison says he wasn't surprised by Lewis's departure, but only the manner in which it happened. He actually says, "I was aware of the nature of the contract we'd offered ... permitted that to happen." He goes on further to say we were from that point on prepared for it (Lewis's declining of the contract and eventual departure), only lamenting that he only announced it too soon for what they had "anticipated." Clear as day they deliberately refused to move up his salary from 40m, withdrew the Lewis foundation support, declined the Mercedes equity stock they had promised him on renewal, cancelled the ambassadorial role he had earlier been promised post retirement, and to rub salt to injury, give him only a 1 year contract extendable by a maximum year. Tell me again if this was not Allison admitting they wanted him out?

Mercedes have pandered to Lewis and his whims since he joined it's total bs to say they forced him out. It was his decision he has been holding a ferrari card for years every contract renewal in fact. Maybe they had enough of his blackmail tactics and said do what u must. It was his decision no one had a gun to his head

SLH uncertain of Ferrari move? Maybe only you and other detractors are. Your argument doesn’t hold water. Reveal the reason for SLH move in the first place. What you guys seem to be doing is hoping that he does not make the move. And note, if Schumacher could drive Ferrari, what’s your reason why SLH couldn’t?

Sir Lewis's future with Ferrari is going to be super as Ferrari wants him to get his 8th but them so the pride stays with them. Some how Michael's name being with Ferrari still has to be apart of the conversation so Ferrari can say their drivers are 1 and 2.

Ferrari will benefit from Hamilton's ability to help develop a car. Let me point out a point many have missed. Before the bad design decision that Mercedes took which ruined performance after Sir Lewis was robbed of his 8th championship. Lewis had complained of things that he felt were not right with the car. The "experts" told him he was wrong and carried on with the new design. Months later after the error of the changes emerged the same experts told him he had been correct and they should not have taken the direction they did. However the millions spent on the new design dictated they stick with it and try and improve the bad lot they found themselves with.
Had they listened to the one man that can feel how a car handles can explain in words what the numbers an engineer sees can't, Mercedes could still have been a dominating team now. I am sure Ferrari are well aware of this and know his ability and the engineers he brings with him will help improve what the car that is not quite right yet. As far as I am aware the Ferrari has one of or possibly the most powerful engines at present, so adding a decent chassis and tuning it's handling properly could propel it to the top 2 or 3 teams in performance. Between then and now we have what looks like a competitive 2nd half of this years season and may well see Max toppled from the top spot.
