- The #LandRoverDefender has been such a huge hit for #LandRover ever since the nameplate came back to the USA in late 2020. For 2024, the #Defender130 gets a new overland ready version called the #Defender130Outbound. The extra long version of the #Defender gets its 3rd row seat deleted for extra cargo space and it also gets reinforced roof rails for owners that want to do a little camping via a tent on the roof.

These are one of the best looking SUVs in my opinion! If they could only get their reliability down.
The reliability of this brand name is always in question and for that price tag I don’t want to be questioning.
This isn't the brand for you.
According to Naveen, Toyota Lexus is no more reliable than this
@@gerry9306 You've been reduced to quoting Naveen. No offense, but the correct move is: Fold.
@@cbotten106 I was being sarcastic. I admonish Naveen and his nonsensical comments.
@@gerry9306 I figured as much but Internet sarcasm always evaporates into the ether.
I saw a guy at the gym trying to open to door to his Defender....the electric lock wouldn't work and he just stood there trying different door knobs. It kinda said everything I needed to know about the car.
20" wheels to overland into perfectly paved camping grounds.
130s in white looks like a refrigerator
Yep, a big ol' Fiji white Sub Zero waiting for it's first service call. Truly a thing of beauty for all who make their (lucrative) livings repairing (expensive) stuff.
Haha
I saw this in my grocery store parking lot today, stopped me in my tracks. 😂
Love it, just can't go for it. Even on a lease. Gotta be able to trust it.
The thumbnail looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe. 😊
Land Rover, great for the first 30k miles, then will depriciate by half after the first year, break down on the side of the road and overall break your heart.
Looks good but I can’t justify paying six figures for an unreliable car that will stay more in the shop than on the road. I rather have a Lexus
Sorry Naveen. This guy speaks truth
Me too
Are mechanic’s lifts considered off-roading?
Looks like an ambulance
It's got a wittle wadder?
Had one and broke while driving off the lot.
(INEOS Grenadier enters the chat) "Oh yeah?"
Nice job Sofyan & I would buy this someday.
You won't
Don't! and if you do, make sure u buy a great repair warranty! Or you'll be broke
For $93K, the only real competition for it is the Ineos Grenadier - Did LR ask you not to mention the Grenadier? I have looked them over at our local dealer, who is right beside the Land Rover dealership, and I must say, the Grenadier looks to be the better vehicle.
Try Grenadier and you will understand that Defender is in different league for comfort and modern features.
Grenadier drives like a truck from 70s. Technology also lagging behind
Biggest problem with LR is bad quality and even worse customer service in US.
Fuji White perhaps?
They're heated and cooled seat in the back. You have to push the rear climate button and it turns that dial into heated and cooled seat option.
Thanks pal, but I don't care about cooled rear seats
Why no V8 for the 130 Outbound or the 130 in general
When they put a battery pack in it I’ll get one…
2025 version has Sedona Red as an option aside from black, white, and grey
Anyone else think this got less attractrive than before?
it's the length of the 130 models that does that. makes it look like a bus.
@@petehelme7714 Yes, I think you're right. But for me, it's the way they've redone the grille and cladding. Looks cheap and amateurish?
They should find a way to hook up with Toyota from a mechanical reliability standpoint. Their 3.5 V6 would be a good start. Want more power?,they can always throw on twin turbos. Beautiful SUV.
Looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe/Ford Flex
Always nice with that off-road capability, just the mileage killing me.😭
I really don’t like where the gear shifter is positioned.
I’ll take the 90 P300
Haha yeah really no one is going off the beaten path with one of those.
Pass
Hyundai want to be this so bad!! Lol
Is it good reliability that is why not a whole people want to buy it.
It has horrible reliability
They should enjoy their sales numbers now. The new Lexus GX550 will most likely take over this space very soon!
"here in America..." 😅
This wasn't made for the 99% of the population.
Agreed, and that 1% really likes it that way.
Definitely not made for you fella
@cbotten106 no, they just don't give a...
@gerry9306 I think I already said that...and? What's your point? You gotta have a point replying to my post. So what is it? Don't be shy, tell me. What is your point?
@@D4LM4R look fella, we don't really need you telling anyone who it's made for or who it isn't. Go play with your cat pal.
Twin charged hybrid I6 with only 16mpg? How in fucks name does that work?
i would say they killed defender brand name with a unibody car
What owner would take a $94.000 vehicle off the road ???
No one. It would be much better to buy a 3 year old Tacoma, put about 10 grand in it and you'd have a serious adventure vehicle
I would, without question.
@@weirdshibainu Have you driven a 3rd gen Tacoma on long overlanding trips? The seating position is terrible, steering is vague, and the seats are very uncomfortable. Reliability wise, it's great. But there's no comparison between an $80k defender and a 30k Toyota Tacoma. It's night and day.
@@owenperry9937 The only thing that matters in overlanding is reliability. Something the 30k Tacoma has and the 80k Defender doesn't. You want comfort? Go to Vegas, get a room overlooking the backcountry and tell yourself you're on an adventure
@@weirdshibainulol Toyota isn’t what it used to be. If you like plastic driver fatigue and broken tie rods go fornit
Second
You're so awesome
Lifted Chevy HHR vibes.
93k for 0-60 in 6.5 seconds? That is slow af especially for that price.
Land Rover does not prioritize speed. They focus on confort and capabilities..performance is not in their radar. If you want performance out of an SUV than look at BMW X5 M..or Jaguar SVR.
2024 Land Rover Defender 130 P400 4X4 Outbound Special Edition!
Noone in their right mind would drive that thing over a muddy pothole....let alone overlanding or offroading. Face it ducks and sheep....they don't make REAL SUVs anymore. One of them plastic bumpers get hung up and cracks, now you're out $6,000. They don't use real metal bumpers anymore. One of your giant aluminum wagon wheels gets bent and scraped, you're out $500 a piece. SUVs don't use steelies anymore. If you even manage to do it off road successfully, as soon as you get back on the pavement you're on your way straight to the shop for a 2 axle alignment and tire balance because it's shaking and driving sideways. They falsely advertise SUVs the same way they falsely advertise Whoppers & McDoubles. It's just for looks folks. That's it. It's not off road capable. Get over it.
They just copied the Santa Fe gosh no creativity 🙄
Yes all you naysayers please stay away from JLR, you give the name plate a bad reputation.Stick with your safe Toyota's or what you can afford.
I was looking at the plug-in hybrid RR and they've got customers lined up for ever on those. So many that they moved the U.S. bound plug-ins upmarket for 2024 to the Autobiography level. Basically, a extra $25K for a leather headliner and a few (nicer, admittedly) paint choices. So they aren't hurting for customers in the United States.
