I sing their song at work......damnt
Nothing to be ashamed of! Loud and Proud!
Thats funny
Good vid. There's a nice breathing exercise in the meditation book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels.
2021 I’m cracking up!
😄
These techniques are legit, really helped me with panic attacks when I was younger and still use them daily 👍
So can I ask, when do you do them. When you're feeling anxious or having complaints? Or just on set times to not complaints at all anymore ?
That’s really amazing, I think I’ll need them and I hope they help a lot!!
I forgot how to breathe and it scares me so much. I am shallow breather and I have so much anxiety because I focus on my breathing because I don’t know how to breathThanks for sharing this video
I've struggled with this my whole life thanks to early childhood trauma. My current strategy is to just obsess on breathing, watching videos, sharing them, advising everyone I know that all their problems are due to poor breathing. If it completely drives everyone nuts, I am forced to obsess even harder.
Perhaps a less abrasive strategy is something I call two-stage breathing. It's super simple for those times I'm too hypo-oxygenated to focus on a task, or when my muscles are worn out from breathwork which I try to get to about once a month. I just watch my breath, then push an extra inhalation or exhalation at the end of each cycle to make it deeper, both in and out.
Turns out i was not the only one thankgod
@@johncaccioppo1142 holy crap that works amazing!! Thank you!
@@luminousstrawberries Yeah it gets you kickstarted, but I have to warn against doing it too much. Any kind of extreme breathing practice can have negative effects if overdone.
The most important breathing you can do is just relaxed breathing, watching your breath go in and out naturally as a meditation. When I learned how to do that while working hard it really changed my life.
I say study breathing seriously, there are a lot of amazing ideas and practices and they can all help in different ways at different times.
I never knew that was a thing until i recently forgot how to breath due to a suicide attempt and sometimes my ribs and lungs hurt because i don’t do it properly then i feel dizzy and i stress out. I’ve noticed it’s affecting my health so ive been looking at videos like these to hopefully get back to my normal breathing. One thing that upsets me the most about forgetting how to breath is that i struggle to sing now. I hope i can sing as well as i did before..
So it's basically different forms of pranayam and kumbhaka.
Kumbhaka or breath retention inside or outside can help purify the nervous system. If anyone is interested search kumbhaka and practice it daily.
Pranayam helped me overcome depression and also improve my health.
Breathing and creativity go hand and hand. No matter ones job skill. A breath creates a center for action and all action requires a kind of breathing. From piano player to plumber, breathing is the action of art. That said, understanding breathing during stressful times is an art unto itself. 👍🙏
I didn’t even need to keep watching that intro relaxed me before my history presentation
lol,
Thank you for another great video. I listen to a new one every day. Since starting we now do you 7 Daily exercises regularly. I do the 7 wakeup exercises every day. Since starting these, I have less ache & pains. You guys are Amazing.
I miss you Bob and Brad y'all sure a breath of fresh air.
Love/respect guys!
Thanks Bob & Brad. Watching your videos is itself quite relaxing and encouraging.
These breathing moves are lovely and even easy to do; on a bus, on a train, during *TV ad-breaks* ..... etc.
And with regard to the last mentioned, it could also help us breathe away the guilt of binge-watching.😊
I also like to think that if we get our breathing right, our fitness goals will be that much more easily achievable.
I use heartbeats instead of seconds. It gradually slows the whole sysytem down. I used it on bleeders when I was a rural medic.
Thank you, guys ! Someone who never stops to repeat:
Danielle, breath🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
I have always been so skeptical about breathing exercises, because I figured, I'm breathing no matter what so how is something so simple going to change my mindset? But I decided to try it today and wow! It helps so much! I am glad I finally decided to give it a try. Thank you :)
Thanks Bob and brad. You both are always my best friend. This is what indian people has already taught before 1000 year ago about pranayam Vipassana by which we can tackle many diseases.
I love your chemistry makes me laugh out loud every video..God bless you guys!!
I am so " addicted " to your videos! 😀 Thank you, guys !
Thank you Both of you 💐💐
You guys have such an awesome channel. Super honest, a light tone and excellent advice. Thanks very much
I second that emotion! Well said!
Thanks so much for this. doc. I just did it and I feel so much more relaxed plus it feels like tension is leaving through my stomach.. It's like when you hold your wrist for a while then let it go and the circulation flows. that's how my stomach feels. I'm also feeling a little more sleepy
Yeah these are good.
Been trying wim Hoff, Which, is pretty intense...the box breathing is something you can do anytime and is simple and easy.
Guys LOVE the quotes @ the beginning of your videos!
Brad cracked me up when w/his teddy bear breathing demonstration says, I'M GOOD! Yes Bob, very well done. Too cute 😹
Y'all are awesome!
Thank you!
One of the best videos in this day and age where so many are often sitting, focused on their phones, little interaction with people and have greater anxiety
Bro you have no idea how amplified that is in 2020
First hi I love your videos they make me happy 😊 and they help alot
Hey guys I have anxiety I’m going try these ☺️👍👍
Great to hear!
Me too
Thanks you guys. Love you.
I like your music. Some how I found myself smiling
Thankyou heaps for another fantastic video. Can feel my breathing alot after different cervical surgery
excellent advice on the breathing exercises very important to calm anxiety thanks again bob and brad for your Proffessional advice 👍😊
Thanks! We do our best!
Thanks guys!
Many psychologists use breathing techniques. If executed right, they help a lot. I am currently working with a person with social anxiety and breathing techniques have already changed his life.
Thank you so much☺️
Thank you so much I really Really need this 🌸🌸🌸🌸😥
Here are some more awesome breathing exercises and tips! ruclips.net/channel/UCj6ZZ4mI15LRQpfWB4VNpgQ
Thank you for 4 7 8, been looking for a breathing exercise that works, once again thank you.
That's my favorite too.
Thankyou very helpful.
Brad when I saw that little lion cub going up-and-down, I totally lost it!
I sprained my neck laughing! I love you guys so much! Thank You for
all of your terrific and informative videos. 👍🏼♥️
P.S. Omg, the last one made me very lightheaded? 😱
One could hyperventilate. Me too; it's still good for you I think, just be sure ti have something sturdy to hold onto or do sitting down perhaps and don't overdo. (I know your comment is old; I just came back to this great video, who needs something new? Timeless wisdom.)
Repeat this out loud in front of a mirror twice a day while smiling and nodding your head up and down, because you are agreeing with your affirmations.
1. Every decision I make is supported by my whole and inarguable experience.
2. I affirm and encourage others, as I do myself.
3. I alone hold the truth of who I am.
4. I am allowed to ask for what I want and what I need.
5. I am allowed to feel good.
6. I am capable of balancing ease and effort in my life.
7. I am complete as I am, others simply support me.
8. I am content and free from pain.
9. I am doing the work that works for me.
10. I am good and getting better.
I love the box method.
It’s very interesting. I’m starting to see how this has affected me. Poor breathing will cause dysfunction in the neck muscles which in turn affects the nerves in the neck. Can cause significant dysfunction and serious pain
tanks are you sir very helpful people
I'm new to this channel and I must say these guys are cool..
I've done similar exercises to this. I have done 4 4 4 and repeat. i have low grade general anxiety and i was told to practice
with each of my 3 I used breathing and was almost pain free but more likely I could control the pain and remain in control and kept pain in check.
Thank you❤
I like the box breathing, I use an app called calm that has something similar with a circle and a little ball that goes around and it goes for 10 seconds and then it stops and holds for 5 seconds and then releases for 10 seconds and it's a really good method to calm anxiety
"Breathing is a way of life" - Me
My friend, Henry, demonstrated how to do diaphragmatic breathing in a group I was co-leading. It's a great tool!
Great techniques breathwork brothers
Thanks boys, needed this today.
Hi Bob and Brad, do you always recommend diaphragmatic breathing? Or are there instances when you would suggest breathing into the chest without pushing the diaphragm?
I'm also wondering if there are ways to strengthen intercostal and other chest muscles that may aid with breathing.
Thank you!
I need this one guys... Thanks for sharing...
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
@BobandBrad ❤ Still love you guys. Haven't looked at much recent stuff; hope y'all are doing well.

I have been running and I am always out of breath. I hope this helps. Going to try it.
Can you please do a series on dealing with post partum diastis recti issues?
Alternate nostril breathing is cool too
These work wonders.
Who ISN'T stressed??? Hopefully these will help me to get some sleep. Repetitive thinking, break the cycle by breathing!
When my patients are struggling with pain & anxiety I hold on to their forearm and breath deep with them. It usually helps get on top of the anxiety before an attack that would need a drug. An anxious life makes one more at risk for Alzheimer’s disease. So stressful for the brain. We gotta keep up with all our emotional coping skills, exercise, and watch our blood glucose. Stay calm thru challenge everyone : ) Breath deep. 😌
Getting fancy with the sign, the microphones, and the editing!

Brad-so we got the little Teddy bear here, just so you can see it
Bob- Teddy bear?! That’s a lion!
😂😂😂😂
Lmaooo
I'm very glad that Bob pointed out, with some urgency, that that was a lion. I'm also glad that Brad referred to it as a teddy bear.
Breathing from the belly , learned this when I started voice lessons, haven't breathed any other way since
Thankssss
Oh wow, I was looking for help with breathing properly again after giving birth, since the diaphragm and core is all stretched out!! Also as a singer I realized how I needed to work on this all over again. A different type of strength training!
Wow, did it help? I didn't know the diaphragm would get stretched out! I never had children: one of my great regrets. And I ended up with abdominal surgery anyway a couple of years ago.
Hi. Great video. I’m curious as to what benefits the holding of the breath provides? Would it be possible to explain this. Thanks so much.
Don't understand why it works this way, but on the 4-7-8 technique, it's during the 7-second hold when I feel myself the most relaxed. If I didn't have to breathe again, I could fall asleep right then! Ha!
Slow diaphragmatic breathing reduces stress by triggering the Relaxation Response. Do a search on Relaxation Response.
@@bhampatty1 yes, it helps me relax to sleep as well. I think the military use it as a sleeping technique when they are boxed in some uncomfortable situation! It might be just the counting, in part. You're concentrating on these different numbers and it's like counting sheep and you just fall asleep.
You two are very funny 😂
Who practiced some deep breathing during this video? 😎
Me😂😂
@@mahmoudshahravi7458 i am about to ! 😂😂☺️☺️

Thank You sir, does these breathing exercise works for panic attacks that caused by anxiety?
Look David carbonell in RUclips
They have an app for Box Breathing it is EXCELLENT
Contraindication for this exercise .high BP migraine or any medication plz mention
When i was small i would inhale as much as i can and hold it as much as i can then exhale slowly, i was addicted to the feeling it gave me lol and i sang too so that helped with that
How do you know when too much heat has been applied I use bathing to relax my muscles haven’t tried much ice but I notice some times it takes a lot longer than 20 minutes to relax when I bathe longer I feel wobbly and sometimes leads to pressure in my head from stenosis any help matters thanks guys
I love the humour
Love the Bumper Music Boys. 🎶
Then what to do for shallow breathing with person
I am nurse assistant right now and I told a patient to do deep breathing. x)
Good work Cari! :)
which is the correct way to breath every day to prevent stress?
Where is that breathing device that exercises and strengthens the diaphragm? I wanted to order it with a 20% discount a week or so ago but I needed a mailing address, and now I can't find it.
Love the thumbnail 😂
Thanks! We've been working hard on them!
Fans from iraq omg i love you guys
Well proper diaphragmatic breathing is belly, but also rib cage, that ALL of that expands 360, all around.
After daily breathing practice 1 set 10x or 15x how long it take to re-train my breathing ?
My breathing is shallow and poor right now.
Keep practicing!
This is actually helped me now I can sleep peacefully thank you😀😇🙂
Good vid. There's a nice breathing exercise in the meditation book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels.
Canthis be performed by those with by- pass sur
Will this help my coughing and asthma? I cough when I get upset or under stress
Anything that relaxes you should help!
The stomach exercise and the last multiple inhale one help me. I am a severe COVID survivor and my lungs are really damaged :/
Question. Is the 4/7/8 a box or a triangle? So inhale for 4,hold for 7,exhale for 8. No more hold. You just inhale again?
Lisa Kulp I’ve done it as a triangle.
@@ajcgi that is what makes the most sense..
Yes I've been training myself to stop snoring and have found this helps.
Agreed this is such an important and easy to use technique. NM
I tried this once and it just caused me one of the most worst pains I've felt in my life throughout the entire upper diaphram.
What is shallow breathing?
Not filling your lungs with air by not allowing your diaphragm to relax.
Im a shotcaller in the yard a true Player Pimp boss man legit i dont quit pure OG.
3 child... you big dad😎👍
Wow I actually felt how the air went to my brain
Everytime I try to deep breathe like this I have to yawn like 20 times, so it doesn't really workkkkk
3:20 That's Simba!
Square breathing really does work. Apparently even Seals use it before combat
I have heard that the exhale should be longer than the inhale because that lowers your blood pressure. Do you think this is true?
Many patients find 2:1 breathing technique effective and this exactly what you may be looking for. But I would suggest starting with diaphragmatic breathing exercise. I hope you will find both of them useful.
Here are some more awesome breathing exercises and tips! ruclips.net/channel/UCj6ZZ4mI15LRQpfWB4VNpgQ
third breathing is legit
I wouldn't know how not to do belly breathing, except when running, when I don't care how the air gets in. With rib flare my lung capacity is not great. The only way to expand is downwards towards the belly. Which then flares the ribs at the bottom even more.
the best ever duo after Chris Smalling and Phil Jones
