Watching boat projects is a great time and sometimes adventurous.
As a sailing channel it must come as a big surprise to no one that a lot of time is spent on boat work, not sailing work. If the work doesn't get done the sailing can't take place. Just one big catch 22. You will soon be able to do more sailing, in greater peace and safety.
If you buy a smaller boat say 34 to 38 feet then you will do more sailing

I used to operate a ship’s distillation plant which used a huge amount of electric power to make 250 gallons/hour. It was called a vapor compression distiller and took up a large space in the engine room. So impressed with this system which uses solar power.

A nice job installing and explaining the new water maker.
Nice install. The location of the filters may be a problem later on. I installed a filter in a cabinet that was subject to HVAC air with little insulation. In the winter, the warm air caused a bacteria to grow inside the filter that I could never overcome except to take it out. Maybe we have strong bacteria in Georgia, but you may need to mount the filters like you did the membranes. Good luck!

Hello guys, Since i have the exact same victron multiplus 3000/120, i wonder if you are running your watermaker fromt it, or from the 5000 watt inverter? Because i heard rumors that the Victron can't handle the start up current of AC Motors in this size. Whats your expirience? Thanks and BR from Sweden
We are running it with the victron no problems so far. We were using our other inverter but got told it wasn’t good to run on a not sign wave inverter 😉
