- Defeating the Sisters of Battle on Radiant difficulty in the Hall of Gods for the Godmaster DLC. Radiant difficulty increases the boss health and some minor tweaks, plus you die in one hit.
This is the new version of Mantis Lords unlocked when you face them in the fifth pantheon. It's crazy fast and fun, though I was quite a bit sloppy with attacking.

Sisters of Battle is a perfect example of beauty in chaos.. there is something so mesmerizing about watching all 3 of them and you dancing around them
This was a fight I looked forward to doing with my old nail file just to have all three live as long as possible. The start of the fight is so much fun with all the dodging.
I would adore watching an old nail fight of this. In fact, there are many fights I would love to watch like that.
kinda a shame there isn't a joke charm or something that would minimize your damage dramatically. maybe call it "Fool's dream"
who knows, maybe they can make a mod for it? maybe there could be a mod that gives you a broken nail that can't be upgraded and it only does 1 damage? I find the concept hilarious personally!
So *do you know about the three mage sisters?* they are a little bit more chaotic to me

This is one I really want to do with the old nail.
It's not that bad. A spell build lets you clear P5 pretty well with an old nail.
And not that hard when well stuffed
And you also have to beat the first 4 pantheons for it.

Best charm build for this fight is Grubsong, Wayward Compass, Thorns of Agony, Gathering Swarm, and the classic Deep/Quick Focus combo.

this is in my opinion the most fun fight in the entire game. I was scared when they all stood up but that quickly turned to genuine joy and excitement
You can see as the other sisters look for approval so they can all fight at once.. love that part
This fight certainly proves the sister in the center stands above the other two, not just because her chair is higher up. You have to defeat her twice, while the other two go down with a single defeat.
This is exactly as I expected when I thought of a refight with the Mantis Lords.

Funny, but I heard bits of "Symphony of Battle" from "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia" during the course of this video.
Not sure if that would be another fitting battle theme for this encounter.

Well Radiant difficulty basically forces you to do no damage, since you die in one hit.

This boss may not be hard but in my opinion it's a perfect fight. At first you fight one lord, she teach you the basics of the fight and when you finally get comfortable, the real fight begin, no new elements to the fight, but now you have to find the exploitable window to their attacks while one of them actively protect that said window forcing you to to improvise and be quick on your feets
It is a skill fight unlike every other fight in the game
@@glitch504sans9 PV(sorta THK) and NKG/TMG are also rather skill based so I wouldn’t say SoB are the only skill based boss in the game

@@durteedan7836 idk but for me personally, the fun of the mantis lords fight is the whole 3 sisters fighting you at once premise. And also the joy of beating one by one. Personally I find enjoyment and pleasure when you take out one sister and there are 2 remaining, then you take out the 2nd sister and bam 1 more left, and you get to bask in the remaining fight with the glory that you've won until you're in the air after using up your double jump with the disc coming towards you and regretting not focusing and underestimating one boss

I can't be the only one who thinks the Sisters of Battle is the best boss battle in the game for both beauty and fun
I enjoy fighting with them, both the normal and the radiant version

Truly one of the best boss battles out there. It seems like it should be too unfair and chaotic, but once you pick up on the pattern (clearly and expressively telegraphed in the animation and sound), you can recognize it in your peripheral vision while you focus on the immediate threat. It’s also timed in a way that one attack will never interfere with your ability to escape another.
This boss scared me the first time I tried it lmao. Seeing all three stand up caught me off guard
It was one of those really awesome moments the first time you fight them.
This is the most perfectly executed boss fight ever.

HCSR2 actually if you look closely you’ll notice that when they spawn above him and he’s already in the air they spawn just a bit higher so it’s not unfair like that

This fight was one of those twitch, split second reflex ones. Your whole brain goes blank, ya don't register anything but what's directly in front of you, and after what seems like but a few seconds it's all over.
I just beat them in my play though for the first time, and while I'm not good at the game, it was the funnest boss battle I've ever done, Im so excited to reach this point to fight all of them
This is definitely my favorite boss in the game!

Sisters of Battle is literally almost perfect. It's JUST the right amount of intensity and stuff on screen to where it's not TOO overwhelming but still extremely enjoyable and fun to masterfully dodge all 3 of them.
I found Sprintmaster to be really helpful in this fight, which is weird since it’s so useless in pretty much every other situation. Being able to consistently dodge their downward stab attack without using up shadow dodge is very valuable.
That's nifty to know about. Thanks for pointing it out! I miss out on useful info on situational charms for boss fights since I don't experiment much with them.
In my opinion sprintmaster is only good vs pure vessel
Sprazzal Sprint master with dash master makes you even faster. Been my combo for quite a while as that speed boost makes a lot of attacks not needing any kind of dodge.
Sprintmaster alone isn’t enough imo
Sprazzal useful for soul tyrant too since he doesn’t stay still
If you want to have a bit more fun doing it, toss in sharp shadow as well, rather than using just the nail. Let's you mimic the Sisters a bit, and it becomes even more of a dance.
Old fashioned way. A fiery flurry of steel blades. Each move after another. Just like in a dance. A perfect fight where both sides are equal. I am fascinated. My favourite boss.
Its one of the most beautiful battles i think. I can fight the vessel nearly perfectly, but i always die to crap like radiant no eyes or shit in the pantheob
My favourite boss fight to do on radiant 10/10. The fast pace boss fight the quick decision resulting in the elegant movements. It as fun to watch as it is to play.
This fight literally subverts the subversion of the first fight, where instead of fighting 1 at a time you fight 2 in phase two. Now instead of fighting 2 in phase 2, the middle one stands up again and you’re just like “oh. shit…”
Thus far the only HK boss I've attempted and successfully done a no-hit and nail-only run on. It's such a fun fight.

Love the grubsong wayward compass even tho u used no spell and no healing or even took damage the whole fight.
I adore the boss fight with them,even though they all fight you,it does continue being fair
I think the boss would be even better if they had a smaller, but shared health bar so you have a difficult fight throughout and not one that becomes much easier halfway in when you manage to kill one.
A shared health bar would definitely work better here.
Came back to this game a few days ago and nailed this radiant fight in one attempt. You never forget the pattern.

This is one of the best fights in the whole game. It doesn't have bullshit attacks and no enemies jump right in you while you're airborne. The arena may be quite small, but you don't need much space for mantis lords anyway.
Honestly one of the best fights In the game in my opinion. It can be tricky but once you get the hang of it, it can be a really satisfying!

i have mastered the mantis lords fight, but can't beat P4, i can beat mantis lords, raident, while distracted, and then only afterwards realise, "wait, was that on raident? probably shouldve been more focused, oh well" and i love going nail to nail with them, no spells, in this entire fight, i saw 2 opprotunites in phase 1, if they dash, you can pogo, then dash towards them and hit them again, and a few other times in phase 2, but thats the only missed DPS i saw, this is my entire motivation for beating P4, this is beautiful
and side note, this was super nice for me because you have NO IDEA how much it annoys me when people play ML/SoB super safe, its not fun! god i hate PV! I NEED IT!

I also completed it in radiant difficulty and for me steady body was super useful

This looks like a fun fight honestly. Its still hard but easy to no hit (for me) at the same time
When I beat initial Mantis Lords at the village and heard about this fight , that I would be fighting them 1 on 3 , my a$$ was torn into two , and I was so hyped for this challenge :D
