Stop motion is, to me, the most respectable form of video-making (especially in relation to previous decades' claymation, costume puppetry, and pre-CGI film-making) because of the painstaking attention to detail with both appearance and movement of the models. Without even considering the script, plot, sounds, or actors the skill it takes to do this successfully through editing and talent is astounding. This is why CGI films don't exactly impress me, even if the film is great - a lot of people complain when a film is not "realistic enough" but give me the TV show "Dinosaurs", The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, or The Wind in the Willow and I'm impressed.
Beck Cetera you are absolutely 100000% correct!!!! I feel the exact same way and point this out all the time! I just feel like anything pre-cgi was so impressive, no matter how terrible and/or cheesey the movie was....Between costumes, set design, animation, these were the things that made me want to get into film. Even when you look back at the OG Mary Poppins, I cant even imagine seeing a movie like that back when it came out. People minds must've been completely blown! Now, everyone is sooooo desensitized, and even with all our technology, we are lucky to see an original movie with an original and interesting concept that isn't a sequel, prequel, or (awful) remake. I tip my hat to Wes Anderson
Agreed. Stop motion is my favorite form of animation. How Into the Spiderverse won over this shows the bias in commercialized entertainment rather praising original material.
You realize cgi is just digital stop motion someone went frame by frame and moved iron man to look like he was standing still while the real camera pans or does anything. I’ve made short films with toys and I’ve did my best to have some cgi and the cgi was by far harder. You can feel the models yeah it takes a long time but if it’s your project and you’re struggling to stay motivated then you probably are telling the wrong story the cgi is just blender blobs that somehow have to perfectly match real life and if even the slightest thing is off the whole thing is ruined and it looks horrible it’s not at all like that with stop motion as long as you’re paying attention to your set you can get a good rhythm
@@joshuajoe1419 I'm glad people are sticking up for CGI, it is an equally beautiful art form. You can't look at a Pixar movie and tell me that's not art with painstaking detail. Even the renders 3D artists publish just on here. One smaller channel I just saw earlier, Ken Liang, had this incredible music video with models and water that looked so real you could almost feel the water splash as the rain hit the surface of the stump and pond.
Your cartoon "Island of Dogs" is very well done! The soundtrack, the plot, the idea, the characters are wonderful!! I strongly advise everyone to watch this cartoon (even adults!). It's just a masterpiece!
In high school they taught me how to do Stop Motion and I must say that it is very admirable when an entire movie is made with this technique, my respects to the people that the movements, characters and settings look impeccable, definitely an admirable job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You did such a good job!you got me addicted to watching it!my favourite part was where peppermint had her puppies and the little one was like "eh" then atari-kun picks it up and feeds it
Watched the movie yesterday evening, it's now in my top five. I loved it so much and Anderson's style is just so unique and special. The plot and storyline was also so heart-racing and emotional. I highly recommend you go and watch it. :D
Do you evee feel like there are people who only like the same things as you like the humor in this movie honestly the way the dogs sneeze randomly it makes it seem like i wrote this
My life is misreble because I really want this job and the pupets BUT I WAS BORN IN 2011 SO IM TO YUNG TO WORK THERE PLEAS LET ME WORK THERE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Love their work but it seems like I'm hearing the same voices back in Fantastic Mr. Fox. It's quite boring, it's like the same characters with the same attitudes and tropes.

I would agree but you hating on CGI, a art form which takes just as much work as stop-motion is really annoying so I’m forced to disagree.

Its cool how even with stop motion animation the Wes Anderson feel is captured perfectly
Watching this makes me appreciate the movie more

Seriously this is one of the greatest animations I've ever seen.
I hope you never stop doing this kind of work. I love this movie, I've already saw it 25 times in 1 week
is Amazing work. They should win the Oscar.....
The sheer amount of talent and effort that goes into a stop motion animated film is just staggering.
Whenever I see a stop motion I can never fully enjoy myself, because I think of all the hard work that went into that
I swear to God if this doesn't win the Oscar for best animated feature.....
Can't wait to see this. Absolutely loved Fantastic Mr. Fox.
It was as good as Fantastic Mr. Fox, but as an Asian and dog lover, I loved Isle of dogs better.
Wes Anderson, Alexandre Desplat and puppets is the best combination in the world. It never fails.
The Animation-Skills in this movie are briliant!
The detail on this is phenomenal. Can't wait to see the movie!

I love seeing behind the scenes of stop motion! Its just so amazing to see what its like for these people who make something great!
This is amazing keep the brilliant work going.
You did such a good job!you got me addicted to watching it!my favourite part was where peppermint had her puppies and the little one was like "eh" then atari-kun picks it up and feeds it
OMG! Such an incredible amount of work!
Severely underrated movie
Невероятный фильм! Кажется, будто это кадры из другой реальности, а не просто анимированные фигурки. Просто магия
Watched the movie yesterday evening, it's now in my top five. I loved it so much and Anderson's style is just so unique and special. The plot and storyline was also so heart-racing and emotional. I highly recommend you go and watch it. :D

Wes Anderson stole my heart
Do you evee feel like there are people who only like the same things as you like the humor in this movie honestly the way the dogs sneeze randomly it makes it seem like i wrote this

The producer Jeremy Dawson sounds like he just inhaled helium

How many years did it take to make the movie ?
Debió a ver ganado a mejor película
This must have been F#$%ing exhausting.
Todos que trabalham na produção desse filme merecem um bom retorno financeiro, porque dá muito trabalho.
When are they gonna show behind the scenes of he actors voicing the characters??
greatttt
0:20...sounds like ash hit puberty after 2009.
sivalo the sergal 😂😂
What do they do with the stuff when they're done?
The question is, how long did this movie take to make and how longs each part take to film and create?
In one interview was said it took 4years from the beginning to the end.
Are they criticising LAIKA at 1:35
1:49 his name?
Somewhere Ray Harryhousen and Art Clokey are smiling.
أظن شراء فلما كهذا بأضعاف قيمته أكرم من شراء طائرات بلاطيار .في الامارات والكويت والسلطنة والمغرب ومصر ولبنان والبقايا الباقية من عصر الاستاذة روبي
My life is misreble because I really want this job and the pupets BUT I WAS BORN IN 2011 SO IM TO YUNG TO WORK THERE PLEAS LET ME WORK THERE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Alguno es español
That Orange dog named chigo
who would really not like this? I wonder
Wow this is not easy.
They could very easily sell the dogs for animal rights charities! You know I would snag a solid 5 😂
đỉnh
I just wish the sumo wrestlers were jiggly when they moved
That looks pretty much impossible to me
Grrrrr I bite
Lol
This should be rated 12A, not PG
Sarah C it's rated PG-13
Thanks. I've never heard of that rating. It just says PG on my local cinema website.
woooooooow
The animation was great but the story line sucked
If you haven't watched mr. Fantastic frox then you're not a true fan of this movie
And if you actually wrote it 'Fantastic Mister Fox", I would believe you.
Why Not CGI?!
JamesXXXYZ because stop motion is more fun and interesting to look at. Cgi has become cheap and redundant
all films are cgi these days, they all look the same
Because CGI is disgustingly common. Stop motion is awesome
Um...because using the oldest animation technique in existence is better then using modern technological bullshit...and its wes Anderson.
sivalo the sergal fucking thank you!! Someone actually agrees with me
Love their work but it seems like I'm hearing the same voices back in Fantastic Mr. Fox. It's quite boring, it's like the same characters with the same attitudes and tropes.
