(1/4 of the recipie) 4 tablespoons flour 2 tbs of softened butter 1.5 tbs brown sugar less than 1 tbs sugar half tbs milk quarter tsp vanilla tiny pinch of salt also I already tried this just to make sure it would work and it’s delicious!

Pro tip, if you dont have soft butter you can do it normaly until you have added: butter, sugar and brown sugar. And then set it in the micro for anout 20-30 seconds.

Basically if you want edible cookie dough withold the eggs but make it as you normally would and if your making strictly no bake edible cookie dough only use real butter as butter crisco will give a waxy feel on the roof of your mouth
fun fact: if you don’t have brown sugar you don’t need to add it ( and it still tastes really good ), and if you don’t have chocolate chips you can freeze nutella or use plain chocolate and cut it up :)
extra tip i used yogurt instead of butter since we didn’t have any at home and it came out a bit different but it’s also a good substitution if you want to add some protein/nutrition!

How to heat treat flour: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and spread a thing layer of flour on the cookies sheet (or the exact amount you need for your recipe). Bake flour for about 5 minutes and use a food thermometer to check the temperature. It should read 160 degrees.

Guys, from personal experience: me and my cousin decided to make this thinking it was gonna be great. When it was time to prep the flour, we decided we were gonna microwave because in our dumb brains we thought it was a good idea. We set a timer for 5 minutes and about 2 minutes in we thought it smelled funky in the kitchen. Almost like burnt popcorn. We take a look at the microwave and saw smoke filling the whole microwave. My cousin opened it and used oven mits to take it out and in the center it was completely charcoaled. There was smoke snd flour all around the house and our problem was that my dog is allergic to flour. We Mantically grabbed him and put him on the porch. We thankfully know what to do when theres a fire so we opened all the windows and turned on the fans. Now our throats are really hazy and were sad. Our only conclusion: *Dont. Microwave. Flour.*

Use less salt ! Maybe 1/2 a teaspoon. Not sure if she is using unsalted butter or not. Next time I will salt to taste as I’m mixing. Kids love making it and eating it!!
This was way too sweet for me so at the end, I added 2 eggs and 1tp of baking powder put it in the oven 170* for 20 minutes and then it turned into delicious cup cakes❤

How to make heat treated flour!
Heat up your flour in the microwave for 1 min and then leave it to cool when its normal temp then its ready!
What if your microwave broke? Is there another way to heat treat?

I tried this and it is so good, so I really recommend leaving in the fridge for about 10 or 15min to get a really good taste.

the flour should be kind of brown(ish) if you heat treated it in a pan. but if you're using a microwave, you can heat it for 1-2 mins

You microwaved it for to long. Only do it for about a minute.
