Sir M.tech in Structural Engineering isn't compulsory, but it is recommended.. I find many engineers are saying this... Degree is a vehicle and skill is the fuel.... Say I have purchased a scooty and you have purchased a costly bike. Now, of course your vehicle is expected to give a better performance in the race because it is equipped with better configurations than mine. However, the vehicle should be also have enough fuel to move. The same concept applies here. Just having M.Tech isn't enough, we need to have the proper skills too. However, the industry will have a higher expectation from an employee with higher qualifications that someone having just a B.Tech degree. This is my opinion. We have to maintain both- educational qualifications as well as skills..
I'm not in against of anybody but I'm only saying that if you want to deal in Structural Design field you need M.tech In structure from good University from where you work on some Softwares in ur M.tech, I'm also B.E and doing Design Job in PT consultant company, bcoz i was good with ETABS i got this job, but TBH i don't get that understanding that easy as my other colleagues with M.E get, it's good that RUclips and other Online Platform is available for Software and all, but just able to use software doesn't mean you can be a Design Engineer, depends on ur choice 👍

In India, with a certain years of experience in the field of design and construction you can apply for Structural Engineer license. Though the rules vary from area to area.

You are very right, passion in the field is key.
