For any of you looking for one of these, i just preordered one on reis website the other day and i got tracking info last night with a shipping date of tuesday the 15th so i assume theyre back in stock now
Finally!! Thanks for sharing this!
Yes!!!!!! I am going to get this! Thank you for the review. I’ve been waiting for this for years.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
After manually deflating my Expeds all these years, this pump felt unreal! Thanks for watching!
I have 3 expeds so this will be awesome for putting away my Expeds.
This will be a huge time saver! I'm even thinking about upgrading my 5 year old to his own megamat single because of this pump!
Ryan, my guy, it’s out of stock 😭😭😭 Way to tempt me into this purchase 😂 Guess I’ll have to wait for a restock haha
Shoot, didn't realize it was out of stock, what timing 😂 Exped better get on that restock quick! Anyone with an Exped needs one of these!
I preordered on REI last week and it just got delivered today
OH MY WORD!! I’m willing to break camp later and not wake other camper with that “loud” device, rather than breaking into a total sweat while wrestling the mat to a manageable size..
Not just the bag but for truck packing.
So very glad to see this. Thanks!
Now! If it’s ever available?
Agreed, hopefully they get on that restock!
So timely! Just bought an Exped on sale at REI. Now I have to buy this (when it’s back in stock) 😂
Nice, hope you enjoy your Exped! Hopefully they get on that restock soon! Thank you for watching!
You'll love the Exped! I think it's better than my home indoor mattress.
@@deborahnaybor2233wow! Really? I wanted the 7.5 but they were out so I got the 10. I figured nobody ever said their mattress was too comfy right?
Field blower can do the same thing and so much more!
The Field Blower looks awesome and very useful. One day I will own one!
@@rtmadani It's simply a Makita blower recolored to brown with a Snow Peak logo on it.
Makita sells its own olive color blower now :D
That being said, it ( or any other battery operated hand-held blower) is something I can't do without anymore.
Works great for inflating/deflating sleeping mats, blowing leaves off the tent/tarp, clearing out the camp site, fanning the fire pit, cleaning the car, etc.
@@sehoonkim2131 Good to know, I want the SP version haha but I may just settle for the olive color Makita. This will be very helpful out there! Thank you.
Another great review. Exped is currently sold out but I put my e-mail on the contact list. Thanks!
Hey, thank you! Hopefully they get on that restock soon!
I have 9 exped pads. One of the reasons I don’t always take the bigger Expeds with me is how difficult they are to get them back in storage bags. I will buy one of these pumps as soon as they are back in stock.
Thanks for watching, hopefully they restock soon! With this pump, there’s really no cons for going with a thicker Exped!
This is a game changer! Having to struggle and wrestle with my exped is my least favorite part of camping. 😂
Makes me want to upgrade to a Max 15 with how easy it deflates it!
Have you seen the flextail max pump 3? The specs blow the exped one out of the water.. 500 l/min vs 142 l/min. It’s also tiny and has a light! Only con is battery which is understandable based on the size.. 650mah vs 2500mah.
I have seen them, and the specs do look good inflation/deflation wise. The Exped has a specific valve stopper/connection, so I’m not 100% if the Flextail would lock into the valve. Despite the numbers, I don’t know that I would need it any quicker than the Exped pump though, it’s pretty fast. I think the battery like you mentioned is also another great bonus as a lot of people go with multiple mega mats. Thank you for watching!
How is it inflating? Thanks for sharing the great review…I have had the same issue with deflation of our Megamats
Inflating works great as well. I recommend following the same inflation steps by unrolling the mattress, inserting the stopper, and then waiting a little for the foam to decompress. After this, inflation with the pump is ultra quick!
@@rtmadani thanks! The smaller Exped inflator did the job but to have the deflate option with the new one definitely makes it a great option. Thanks again!
@JourneyontheTrail Thank you for watching!
For at home use, would a shop vac work just as well? This gave me the idea to try tomorrow. I’ll report back.
Let me know!
@@rtmadani definitely worked but kinda scared the shop vac (a smallish ryobi) would suck the valve stop off. Probably a good alternative if you only want to get all the air out at home. A plus was that the shop vac can be used on the spot to clean the tent.
That’s great, thanks for the feedback on this!
Looks like they've already discontinued it.
Hey, I reached out to them and it sounds like they did pull them off to relocate the power button. They said they should have the new version up for sale on the site shortly and that they have already received the shipment of the updated pump. Sorry for the confusion, I had no knowledge of any of this when I released the video.
Wow ,I just bought the older model I thought it lacked power to do the job….
Yeah the older pump doesn’t compare performance wise. Hopefully you can exchange it for the new one.
