It’s a small thing, but the later levels of Ripple Star kinda creeped me out as a kid because you got the creepy Catacombs music playing alongside the still-cutesie Ripple Star aesthetics. Just makes for a very off, unsettling atmosphere.
You're absolutely right--I thought about giving Ripple Star a bigger focus but decided on just showing some footage (I should have at least talked about the catacombs, though). I also didn't mention the body horror that is Kirby's copy abilities in 64, so maybe I'll revisit the game with a Dark Aspects Mini, or an episode discussing the series as a whole 😄
@@MorphBaller388 He was a designer and director of the Kirby Dark Matter trilogy with his last contribution being to Nightmare in Dreamland before suddenly completely disappearing from public view. There's been no mention of him ever since then. Nobody knows his whereabouts, his appearance or anything other than his name in the credits. Perhaps he just retired from the video game industry entirely and also decided not to have a public identity via social media? Perhaps it was just a pseudonym for another designer? Perhaps he died?
A few other things i found pretty disturbing that are normally overlooked 1. There is Official Artwork of Possessed Dedede in the Dreamland 3 Manual. While it’s not absolutely disturbing it’s unsettling due to just how genuinely depressed Dedede looks. It’s as if he knows he’s being held prisoner by the Dark Matter, But can’t do anything about it. 2. When the player defeats Dark Matter in Hyper Zone, it stops moving and just… Stares directly into the camera… at the player… It’s usually Orange eye is pure Black. To add on to this, Zero’s appearance makes it seem like the TV is glitching out in static. And then… He just appears. He just sorta appears in a blink of an eye through the glitching. It’s as if he doesn’t belong in this game itself. Combine this with how he isn’t made to look hand drawn like the rest of the cast in this game and you’ve got a character that nearly rivals Giygas 3. In Kirby Planet Robobot, You fight the Dark Matter Swordsman again. But as a clone. However it’s description is where things get interesting. Because it states that the Swordsman was so powerful, it was not able to be fully completed, and thus, it can’t access it’s true form. The SWORDSMAN. One of the lesser Dark Matter Invaders was so strong, an Intergalactic Super Computer could not fully replicate it. Not only does this mean that it’s insanely powerful, But, there are obviously Zero and 02 who are much stronger than the swordsman. How powerful ARE these things as a result? 4. Well this answers my question in point 3. Because Zero (or his presumed origin) is worshiped as a god by a cult known as the Jambastions. Hyness, the cult’s leader is driven mad by vessel Void is being held in, He goes on a long, sporadic rant. And a lot of his speech actually alludes to the Bible, especially if what he says about the “Book of legend” is true. And he even goes on to shun those who believe this book was a “Fairytale” which parallels those who have their own believes in the Bible. So yeah, Zero very well may be God/Satan in kirby’s universe
Dark Matter Blade wasn't necessarily too _powerful_ to be replicated, but too strange and possessing bizarre properties that Star Dream did not fully understand. Strength was never mentioned. Also, Hyness doesn't worship Zero, but _Void Termina,_ presumed to be Zero's ancestor. Zero might have been created by the Jambastion cult in an attempt to release Void, either intentionally or as a byproduct, but it is not the object of their worship.
@@syweb2 "Creating this dark swordsman pushed Star Dream to the limits of its abilities." Something just seems off that the Clockwork Stars (and related machines like the Lor Starcutter) understand Space and Time warping while not understanding the simplest of the Dark Matter besides gooey Also I meant that Hyness worshiped Dark Matter as a whole, not necessarily Zero himself. That one was my fault
I believe the book Hynes is talking about is the one the ancients wrote after defeating a lot of monsters, like void, and cataloging them. I think somewhere it's said that the pause screens for void termina is the scroll written by the ancients
On the Dedede part, I feel like it's also overlooked that in parts of the fight in DL3 when Dark Matter attacks and when he's hit with an attack he looks to suddenly gain consciousness and be very aware of what's happening before going unconscious again, which is real fucked up tbh
I remember now after playing RTDL Deluxe, Magolor apparently read a dusty tome and believed it was a fairy tale until he came across the Lor Starcutter. Idr if that same description was in the original RTDL but it ties in to the book of legend in Star Allies and potentially the Master Crown potentially being influenced by Dark Matter which came from Void evident by the battle against Void Termina.
Neither Shiver Star nor Adeleine would be nearly as creepy if the other wasn't present. If either was removed, then the other could just be brushed off as a one-off element, but seeing both, especially in the same game, prompts one to make connections and wonder if there was something deeper. I also wonder what Adeleine herself thought when journeying through Shiver Star. Even if she had no memory of living there, it's entirely possible that she could've explored the mall a bit more and found things eerily designed just for her and seemingly no one else.
Unless there's some animated sleep shenanigans going on, the fact Adeline is just a child makes it worse If she's from Shiver Star, was its fall recent? Or did something else happen to her between then and now? If she's not from there, then how many planets have humans living on them, and what happened to her home? Would she recognize the architecture on Shiver Star?
Adeleine can't be human though. Since Kirby has been repeatedly confirmed to be 8 inches tall and that would make her about 15 inches tall - an infant size. Maybe she's a homunculus or some alien species that resembles humans, but shorter. Perhaps the factory's purpose was to shrink indigenous life on earth for some reason, maybe to fit more life onto the colonization ships, and she's one of the modified descendants of humans. That actually tracks with Kirby appearing taller in Forgotten Land. If humans had already shrunk some, Kirby would appear larger on their new home, but that has the implication humans lost/destroyed earth and then lost/destroyed the planet they colonized afterward... and Adeleine could be a double shrunk derivative of humanity. It would also explain Dedede being a small penguin.
Batamon is just a drawing of Kirby made by Ado. Dark Matter used Ado's special art skills to try to make copies of Kirby after it found out of how he killed Dark Matter Blade. I think Adeleine drawing them as a base moveset in Star Allies solidifies this theory.
That's probably the best theory about Batamon, as there's nothing to disprove it and it makes the most sense! I like your idea of Dark Matter wanting to replicate Kirby--it'd be cool if there were different variations of Batamon that were born from posessed Adeleine's attempts to draw him...
I'm willing to bet the four creatures in the factory might be some kind of artificial life-forms, considering their appearances don't quite match anything else in the Kirby series. One even seems to be a hippopotamus, which looks unlike any creature in Kirby. *Headcanon time!* My own, personal, twisted theory is that it's actually a toy factory, but then someone tried to take the concept of "lifelike toys" a bit too far. Perhaps that's what the presumed artificial intelligence running the factory has been doing in its spare time? _Whatever the case,_ the factory has an unmistakable toy aesthetic, from jigsaw-puzzle-patterned walls, to squeaky hammers and tin men employed as a lethal security system.
I really like this theory! You're totally right about the unmistakable toy aesthetic, and a toy factory gone wrong fits the vibe many Kirby games are going for with its nightmarish villains as a perfect counterbalance to the blissful Dream Land.
@@ThaneGaming I had a theory about Kirby and Pokemon being connected through Dark Matter. In Super PMD the final boss is named Dark Matter in both japan and english, and is shown as a dark orb surrounded by darkness generated copies of pokemon and spikes. When you battle Void Termina, he has those same kind of spikes. From what we’ve seen of Dark Matter in Kirby, perhaps they’re connected due to the monster creation and design aesthetics?
6:18 Finally, after so many years, I finally see somebody point that out in the Dark Matter analysis video, the first-aid bandage on 02's head always bugging me as a kid, it was later through replay the trilogy and reviewing artwork I finally realize that there's the high possibility 02 is basically 0 but wounded. Anyway, you've earned a new sub.
I'm glad you thought so too! That makes the most sense to me--I can't agree with the theory of 0 and 02 being similar but separate, unrelated entities. The name made me think it was a return of the original right away, and the wings/halo & bandage on its head seem to tell the story in its design! Of course we can't know for certain, but that's what I believe... Thank you so much for the sub, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Zero, 02 and Dark Matter as a whole has to be one of my favorite video game villains I don't know if it's something about their designer or whatever, I just think they're cool.
What if Shiver Star is Earth after it became a rogue planet, which is a planet that had escaped its orbit around its native star and went adrift through space? I wouldn't know how Earth would have done that, but maybe the reason why it's covered in ice is because it left the habitable zone of the Sun and froze over, likely forcing humanity to live underground until Earth entered the star system that Pop Star is in, after which humanity's survivors got the heck out of Dodge and spread out across the galaxy.
Ah, I grew up with Kirby and Crystal Shards was my favorite of the Dark Mater saga! Another creepy detail about 02 from the artwork you mentioned is that right there its wings are explicitly depicted as vein like, and the base of them is even a bit bluish. Though they also remind me of the gills of an axolotl, the bloody tear just drives the whole idea home for me.
Agreed! I like the idea of Zero 2 being a "return" of the original Zero (whether through a revival or reincarnation) better than them being similar but separate characters. We don't know for certain of course, but the name and its design (the wings/halo & bandage) always seemed to imply the former to me...
Ah yes, a video on my favourite brand, a pink bubble gum with a dark lore hidden in secret modes, thanks thane! Also I'm back after the mother series yay!
Kirby is all about fun & innocence on the surface, with unsettling elements to unearth the deeper you dig 😅 yes welcome back from my MOTHER videos--I'm glad you're here for some Kirby!
Aaah yes you finally did it! You did a great job with this!! I do have a small theory of my own, regarding the batamons. In my honest opinion, they are simply painted animated copies of Kirby that Adeleine can draw. I have 3 reasonings behind this, which is basically all we know bout the badamons. First, the place that houses the most of them is right before the castle/building that Adeleine was at in Dreamland 3, in Cloudy Park Second, the other appearance of them is in Star Allies, where Adeleine literally paints them and they act and look just like in Dreamland 3! This makes a very cool possibility that they have always looked like that, but in Dreamland 3 we couldn't tell because the entire artstyle of the game was Adeleine's!! And lastly, there is actually an official strip comic of Dreamland 3 that shows Ado actually create and paint them. It's be great if you could also look into basically the follow up to the dark matter trilogy with Void and everything else in Star Allies!
Hey Franci & Drake--glad to see you here! I was planning on sending a message to let you know I finally decided to tackle the Kirby series for Dark Aspects, but you found it 😄 I wanted to thank you for piquing my interest in the franchise again! I never played crystal shards before but I did listen to the 02 battle music and I liked it -Off topic but if you don't mind me asking what does the Japanese part of your name say?-
I just realized, the new Kirby game takes place on a world that’s seemingly an apocalyptic Earth. (Don’t know it true yet of course) Wonder if that endless winter finally ended on Shiver Star. Lol
Now imagine Kirby 64 being your first Kirby game and having no context for Dark Matter or Zero, only knowing it as "02" from its in-game collectible card and due to the font, thinking this meant its name was "Oz".
Always wanted to see a Kirby episode in Dark Aspects. A lot of potential subjects for that series, especially the Dark Matter Trilogy. I am surprised Ripple Star's catacombs wasn't mentioned though not sure if there would that much to say about it aside from it being a very creepy stage where it is implied that is were the dead is buried. When it comes to Shiver Star, I do think it is probably a post apocalyptic earth from the future though I was thinking, since it said that the inhabitants of Shiver Star (which would be humans in this case) moved to another planet and I was thinking, what if Adeleine was actually born in the planet the humans migrated to and Adeleine probably doesn't know the tragic history of Earth and how it turned into Shiver Star but was set to Popstar for research purposes, or, maybe when the humans migrated to another planet, Adeleine as a young baby, separated from the rest and crash landed in Popstar. I don't know but I always find Adeleine to be one of the most mysterious characters of the series just for the fact that Adeleine is the only human of the series and no one really takes note of that in universe though considering how wacky and unique the different characters look in the series, they probably think she is just a resident. As for the factories, well, all I can think is maybe the factories were made to study the next step in human evolution, experimenting on other animals and maybe even other worldly/alien beings that they discovered...... or maybe Kirby and Mother/Earthbound are in the same universe and Shiver Star is future Earth from the Mother series but that is just a thought I had for fun and is in no way canon.... I assume.....
I did think about getting into both Ripple Star's creepier levels and the body horror involved with some of Kirby's copy abilities in 64, but you're right--I didn't have much to say on the topic so I just decided to show some footage 😅 but I didn't include the catacombs at all, just the song for the end card! For some reason the whole "underground cemetery" slipped my mind so thank you for bringing it to attention. I really like your theories about Adeleine and the factory, great points! The Kirby series may as well take place in the future of MOTHER's world--it could all be part of HAL Laboratory's shared universe 😀
@@ThaneGaming lol. Yea, I pretty much got the Mother idea from the ESP ability which, yes, Kirby has referenced many other Nintendo games but I feel like the ESP ability was the most direct reference to the point that maybe ESP was an actually technique in universe that was mastered by other beings like Giygas (Earthbound beginnings), Ness, and Lucas. I know that the Doctor ability is a Dr. Mario reference but that is more of a Smash Bros reference then anything substantial to canon.
Fantastic video, I quite like this series and how it feels informative and entertaining without necessarily being indulgent. It's a great look at when these games stray from the light and cartoony but it doesn't revel in it, and I appreciate that considerably. A detail from Kirby three I really liked but fits in more with the Lore videos than a deep dive on the darker aspects of the games; Gooey, the second player character, reveals himself to be a Dark Matter creature if he's brought into the final battle.

I haven't collected all the hearts in Heroes in Another Dimension yet--there's still lots for me to do!
Awesome video! I love all these aspects so much I think about them often, they give such a cool sense of worldbuilding! Also I think humans fled to Halcandra after Earth, given there is an implied next model of HR-H, HR-D3, but Halcandra is also desolate, so who knows where they went after that, Maybe Ado was born in Halcandra and was tired of its samey hellish look, and wanted to go to another planet to inspire her art better.

@@bagelgod946 I think I'm most excited for Robobot, it's always looked so cool to me but for whatever reason I never picked it up...Return to Dreamland is up next for me after Star Allies though!
I think Zero sending its iris at you while the body heals does hold water somewhat. Because it’s clear as day that Kirby if given the chance does kill most of his foes. Dedede is usually slapped to his senses and Meta Knight sorta behaves like a rival, but most other baddies get killed. I mean some came back in star allies but look at Sectonia or Star Dream and even Yin Yarn, no fucking mercy at all! How many has he eaten?! Kirby was clearly gonna win in Zeros eyes so that being a way to save his skin for a future duel makes a lot of sense
I’ve read the same thing! Though I thought the evidence of 02 being a reincarnation was stronger. Some fans were citing the celebration picture in Kirby Star Allies depicting all the bosses as proof (0 and 02 were both there, separately) but I don’t think it meant anything other than the artists wanting every game represented…who knows though
@@ThaneGaming If I recall correctly, the reason why some think Zero and Zero-Two are separate entities is that the official Kirby's 20th Anniversary Encyclopedia states that their relation is unknown, which seems odd at first because of the obvious relation between the two. Perhaps the eyeballs are separate entities (because the first Zero separates from the body) and the white orb/body is more of a Dark Matter nest of sorts that somehow reconstructed itself and created a Zero successor? I don't know, even with the existence of Void from Star Allies giving a presumed origin for Zero and Zero-Two, they're still really mysterious. Apparently, the final boss of Squeak Squad is also called Dark Zero in Japan (I think anyway). I don't how that boss relates to the other two though, especially since it doesn't look that similar.
Could what happened in Kirby and the Forgotten Land be a continuation of what happened on Shiver Star in Kirby 64? The Forgotten Land also has areas that look like they used to be inhabited by humans, like that abandoned shopping mall shown in the teaser trailer.

I'm excited to experience more of Kumazaki's direction for the series because the story stuff in Star Allies is fantastic.
I can imagine that 0² and Miracle Matter were born from the remains of the original Zero. Its remains probably split in order to create the other two beings. They both seem to have inherited the ability to produce and control Dark Matter. Miracle Matter can use all Copy Abilities like Gooey, a rogue, benevolent Dark Matter being. This indicates that they are based on the primordial Chaos matter from Greek mythology and philosophy. Plato mentioned in Timaeus that Chaos matter is a dark subtance that is the source of all elements and can take on their attributes. This is probably why Miracle Matter and Gooey can use all Copy abilities whereas Zero is more like the egg that formed out of this substance which gave rise to the Demiurge. They are represented as a circle or triangle with an eye in the center.
I’m sure it’s been said, but the hyper zone in dreamland three was changed from its original design. It’s only blue and dark in certain parts of the game to modern consuls. It’s usually yellow with colored dots. Good video!
Isn't the yellow with colored dots background of the Hyper Zone exclusive to Boss Butch mode in that game? It's blue and black for the regular story mode
I would love it if you would delve into the lore behind Kirby Star Allies's Void Termina, and how it' s believed to be the ancestor of both Kirbys species and dark matter.
I've played my share of Kirby games, Kirby 64, Nightmare In Dreamland, Amazing Mirror, Squeak Squad probably something else I forgot to mentioned. Noticed bosses always got dark at the end, 64 to me was always some what unsettling the most throughout. Didn't think much of it, if anything it's recent that I found out Kirby has *LORE* and very dark and extensional dread inducing at that...
Ganondorf/Ganon’s death in oot was more brutal than zero ripping his eye out in my opinion. There’s even more blood with his face getting slashed apart as he shrieks in excruciating agony not to mention stabbing him until he vomited blood and crushing his spine/tail with a hammer.
Too bad they censored it in future releases of OoT--they changed the blood from red to green, so it looks like he's vomiting instead (which is disconcerting in its own right, lol). You have a good point, though I think what sells Zero for me is the sheer amount of blood, since it's being used endlessly as a projectile
True. But this is a KIRBY game one of the last places you would expect spoopy stuff like that to happen. LoZ is a completely different game franchise, and thought that sounds.. bad. I'm just saying
Haha, I actually had a segment on that fully edited in the video but I cut it for the final version! I didn’t think it meshed well with everything else I was talking about-I decided to save it for a “Nintendo Innuendo” episode on Kirby 😆
In general, I thought Dark Aspects should focus more on heavier themes + the sinister & scary rather than suggestive content, so I made a spin-off series for this sort of thing 😅 I still can’t believe the developers snuck it into the game…
I think it’ll be a while before I split up one game into multiple episodes like I did with MOTHER 3-the plan for now is to cover lots of games in the classic Dark Aspects format!
I really loved Kirby growing up, but I fell off of the franchise after Squeak Squad for whatever reason. It's been great playing all the Kirby games I've missed over the years & I love it now more than ever!
Late as hell, but I always interpreted the factory as human’s attempts to create life itself. It is my personal theory that the humans of this world, who eventually fled their home planet and became the ancients, are the creators of everything in this world, before accidentally creating Zero and being consumed by it. I admit, this is 100% my own crack theory and isn’t supported by canon, but it isn’t discredited by the canon either so (shrug)
Wooooow. I had no idea Mother was developed by Hal! Guess it makes sense considering both Mother and most of the kirby series are deceptively cute on the outside, but hide darker themes within their lore. not to mention final bosses that contrast with the rest of the games light hearted presentation.
Zero ripping his pupil out of him and bleeding everywhere seems *perfectly* normal and light hearted to me, I dunno what your talking about. And that 02 battle seemed fine to me too. (Off topic) What part of Marx *splitting his mortal body in half to create galaxies in the middle of this nice plains environment* is eldritch horror? (I have bee exposed to so much: Kirby games, Kirby lore, and Kirby fan art that this stuff doesn't phase me anymore. -and yet simular things from different franchises spook me- (Also did you notice the reference I put there?)
I still don't know how Kirby's Dreamland 3 escaped censorship. Maybe the localization team realized they were dealing with art and just let it slide...I like to believe that.
From what I remember, how the ESRB worked is that game creators would have to send in a video reel of the most graphic/violent moments for review. I don't know why they didn't list it until the rerelease on Wii...as far as why Nintendo themselves didn't censor it, I have no idea either 😶 maybe because it requires 100% to see, so they were more lax about it?
I'm just glad they didn't put zero in Super smash bros, they make EVERYTHING high definition in the more modern versions of that game. I can't even think about that.. the fanart is already enough. -something tells me the game wouldn't be E10+..-

@@ThaneGaming While not creepy, but . . .
What if the "Forgotten Lands" are actually Shiver Star after it's been thawed out?
I think that the creepiest aspect of it all is that the writer/director of the Dark Matter Storyline actually *Disappeared*
this
What? Please explain
@@fluffcake dark matter possessed him
A few other things i found pretty disturbing that are normally overlooked
Combine this with how he isn’t made to look hand drawn like the rest of the cast in this game and you’ve got a character that nearly rivals Giygas
@@syweb2 "Creating this dark swordsman pushed Star Dream to the limits of its abilities." Something just seems off that the Clockwork Stars (and related machines like the Lor Starcutter) understand Space and Time warping while not understanding the simplest of the Dark Matter besides gooey
Also I meant that Hyness worshiped Dark Matter as a whole, not necessarily Zero himself.
Unless there's some animated sleep shenanigans going on, the fact Adeline is just a child makes it worse
If she's from Shiver Star, was its fall recent?
@@ThaneGaming ??? They never said Adeleine wanted to replace Kirby
-i know this is 4 months old-
@@ThaneGaming It wasn't about her _wanting_ to replicate Kirby, but being forced to by Dark Matter.
@@HappyXID lol thanks, my comment didn't make sense. I fixed it with what I meant to say 😅
@@syweb2 thank you, my comment made no sense when I reread it so I just fixed it haha
I'm willing to bet the four creatures in the factory might be some kind of artificial life-forms, considering their appearances don't quite match anything else in the Kirby series. One even seems to be a hippopotamus, which looks unlike any creature in Kirby.
*Headcanon time!*
My own, personal, twisted theory is that it's actually a toy factory, but then someone tried to take the concept of "lifelike toys" a bit too far.

@@ThaneGaming well we know zero “died” in dl3 so the halo, wings, and bandage may be suggesting some revival jesus thingy

@@KremKit Thank you positive life form.
Zero, 02 and Dark Matter as a whole has to be one of my favorite video game villains I don't know if it's something about their designer or whatever, I just think they're cool.
I honestly think creepy bosses/enemies are a perfect fit for innocent games.
12:52 Ado was always Adeline. The name is merely shortened for the sake of saving space in DL3.
Zero 2’s name does help suggest that zero 2 is a successor to zero 1, as you could look at zero 2 as being zero II or zero the second.
Agreed! I like the idea of Zero 2 being a "return" of the original Zero (whether through a revival or reincarnation) better than them being similar but separate characters. We don't know for certain of course, but the name and its design (the wings/halo & bandage) always seemed to imply the former to me...

First, the place that houses the most of them is right before the castle/building that Adeleine was at in Dreamland 3, in Cloudy Park
Second, the other appearance of them is in Star Allies, where Adeleine literally paints them and they act and look just like in Dreamland 3!
Well the people *left* Shiver Star, so there's nothing saying they couldn't have repopulated, ruined, and abandoned yet another world.
Now imagine Kirby 64 being your first Kirby game and having no context for Dark Matter or Zero, only knowing it as "02" from its in-game collectible card and due to the font, thinking this meant its name was "Oz".
Kirby is kind of a kid friendly nightmare
Spooky one-eyed dark boys.

I mean some came back in star allies but look at Sectonia or Star Dream and even Yin Yarn, no fucking mercy at all! How many has he eaten?!

Kirby Forgotten Land will shed clues
11:28 I always liked the cat in the test tube, has that cat ever appeared in any other Kirby game?

Zero ripping his pupil out of him and bleeding everywhere seems *perfectly* normal and light hearted to me, I dunno what your talking about.
And that 02 battle seemed fine to me too.
(Off topic)
What part of Marx *splitting his mortal body in half to create galaxies in the middle of this nice plains environment* is eldritch horror?
(I have bee exposed to so much: Kirby games, Kirby lore, and Kirby fan art that this stuff doesn't phase me anymore.
-and yet simular things from different franchises spook me-
(Also did you notice the reference I put there?)
Now...Beavis and Butthead what did you learn today?
Damn dude nice new intro :)
Thank you! I want to try and change it up for each new game series I cover--it's fun picking out which song to use to make the best first impression 😁
I do like your theory better 😅
I'm just glad they didn't put zero in Super smash bros, they make EVERYTHING high definition in the more modern versions of that game. I can't even think about that.. the fanart is already enough.
-something tells me the game wouldn't be E10+..-
My theory is that the reviewers never bothered to get the secret ending.
@@elcuy3544 It's takes a lot of effort to do so, so i think you're right
Great video! 😊
Wave three!
Oh yeah in ripple star there is an area called ripple star catacombs
The Western commercials are definitely non canon, Kirby is our friend.
I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT REMINDS ME OF TBOI WHEN IT SAID IT FOR MEEEEEEEEEEE
Man, so many people just can't spell 0², smh my head. Seriously, though, I hate that it's pronounced as zero two, as it's very clearly zero to the power of two/zero squared.
Didn't want to edit my previous comment cause for some reason it removes the heart but yeah... Nintendo Minute just uploaded their final episode. Hits hard...
Woah, seriously! I didn't know they were ending Nintendo Minute 😬 I would watch occasionally over the years; they were great hosts and had some interesting episodes. I just saved the last one in my watch later, I hope there'll be a replacement series...
@@ThaneGaming Yeah... almost an hour after I made the previous comment I check the home menu and there it was. So sudden too. I dunno if this gaming duo can be replaced but I said the same thing about X-Play and Nintendo Week years ago.
How is no one commenting about how he called Giygas "Geegas"
Edit: yeah a little bit after making this comment I learned it was Geegas but at least Thane says an interesting fact in the replies
"Geegas" is how EarthBound's localization team pronounced it, and it's more accurate to the original Japanese (Itoi was inspired by how unpleasant "GHEE" sounds to the ears)

Jesus Christ. now I see why zero was scrapped.
I don't know if you accept suggestion but how about a Dark Aspects of Creepy Castle, a game with cute cartoon animals? :D
Please tell me your not only going to do the other games 🙏
It's been a while since this episode but Kirby is on the list, I will get to the other games eventually! I do plan on playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land as soon as it launches 😁 I was going to cover more Kirby sooner but other projects have taken priority--I'll be doing nothing but Dark Aspects for a while so I can cover all these games that deserve to be talked about!
@@ThaneGaming hell yeah. I’ll take that. I’ve been here since the mother 3 series which I still consider the best way to go over that story, so I’m excited to see you cover my actual favorite series.
Trinston was here..
Isn't Kirby only 6" tall? Adeline would be way to short to actually be a human then. It could just be discrepancy between in game descriptions and actual gameplay though.
Shiver star is metal earth
Since the video ended, there's just one thing I feel I need to share with you...
I do NOT care for shiver star
Void be doing void things. Amiright?
xeroc and noxus VS zero and zero two
YES
Woah hey Magolor, thank you for helping me through Soul Melter 😅
@@ThaneGaming How I got through soul melter was: Me (Yoyo), my Sister (Adeleine and ribbon), Magolor, and Marx and we got it first try with P2 healing often so we could be extra stingy with the food.
How I got through soul melter EX was: Me (The Three Mage Sisters), my Sister (Adeleine and Ribbon.. again), Magolor.. again, and Marx.. again. It wasn't our first try cause our first try had the normal soul melter set up and we died on the Francisca fight. And a month later we tried again and did it. (We didn't celebrate as much as we did when we completed normal soul melter)
Yes these were both done in multiplayer. I'm too scared to try them on my own..
(I call ice queen: Francisco, hot head: Flame broil, and zapy: Zen Parmesan)
Kirby games are made by second party subsidiary Hal laboratory and are therefore not first party Nintendo games
Rabu Rabu stick... no, it's probably worse in Japanes3
