Thanks for the in-depth look at the product! I note your 'why pay more' sentiment from the E16 video and how the E14/E16 have been refreshed with similar componentry and their own interesting screen options. I hear your praise for the L14 G5 speakers in this video. Are there more L-series exclusive reasons apart from the better speakers to 'pay more' over the E14/16?
Looking at the UK website, I dont think we have the option for 100%sRGB (unless I am missing something). If this is the case what other thinkpad or laptop would you recommend?
only the 45% NTSC screen available in the UK :( The E14 has 2.2K (2240 x 1400) 100% sRGB option though. trying to work out difference between L and E series, only had T series previously, not sure what's lost vs more budget E and L series? E16 Gen 2 also looks good with 16" WQXGA 100%sRGB, with either Intel Core Ultra or same AMD in L series.
In short, E series is built closer to consumer laptops and L series is built similar to business laptops. L series has a magnesium roll cage. E series does not. L series has a replaceable keyboard, E series does not. The current e14/16 has 2 ssd SLOTS no WWAN, the l14/l16 has 1 ssd slot and WWAN. E series has slightly thinner horizontal bezels. I've heard that E series is designed by a Chinese team responsible for other lenovo products, while the L and other thinkpad series is built by a separate American branch than descended from the original IBM team. P.S the srgb option isn't available in my country as well (Amd varient). Pretty stupid. Btw the 2.2k 100%sRGB screen on the E14 is 300 nits brightness, imo the 400 nit 1080p 100% sRGB screen on the l14 is superior if lenovo makes it available. 45%NTSC is rubbish though.
T series is similar to L series with better plastics and Finish. They're supposed to be thinner and lighter as well I believe (not sure about the current gen).
Even same here in india. E14 has 100% rgb and full aluminium body whereas l series has 45% NTSC and pbs body. Only intel ultra variant has this display options from l series
Man, you buy the e series only if you want a thinkpad because it's a thinkpad. If you want a "cheap" laptop that's still built good, just choose a thinkbook, they're made of metal (except the palmrest, the bottom is also metal) and have all the upgrades you want. But they don't have wwan or thinkpad keyboard and touchpad, thinkbooks are more of a hybrid solution, half ideapad for the screen, keyboard and touchpad, half thinkpads for the great build materials.
I reviewed this laptop way back when it first came out. Already on my channel somewhere. I also used it in some more cent reviews like the Thinkbook 16p 2024 and one other

Getting i5 16gb Variant in 200 usd, 3 yrs used, should I buy it?
I am fan of your work for over a year now. Precise & Simple. Requesting you to review Lenovo Slim 7i 155H/32GB - 1900x1200 - 400nits touch.

Have you reviewed ThinkPad E14 2024?
Thank you! How do you find the trackpad? I know its not glass, but is it mylar? Is the trackpad smooth and precise?.
Generic thinkpad trackpad. So its nice and precise.
@@TechGuyBeau thanks! glad you had this video. it was the best one out there for this model. Just placed the order for one : )
How does this compare to e14 gen 6 or gen 5 as you have already reviewed ?
Would be great if you have a comparison between T14 gen5 and L14 gen5.
If a thinkbook which costs a bit less and weighs around 1.7kg, is half metal, we can say that this is plastic (maybe reinforced plastic?)
Hello, I am hesitating to buy the Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 5 or the HP EliteBook 645 G11, which one do you recommend and why?
I haven’t use the HP, sorry
Hinges are metal? Noticed that they aren't silver anymore..
Please review the new P1 Gen 7! Quite a bit of changes, and would love to see your thoughts
Waiting in a price drop. Have a Gen 6 full roundup review coming
@@TechGuyBeau Oh wow. You buy and keep all the laptops you reviewed? Thought it'd be some kind of sponsorship

Is that plastic top and bottom?
Yes, a rigid plastic, but if you don't mind thinkpad stuff, go for a thinkbook

Battery sucks, i purchased Intel one.
Not suprised though. Amd chips have way better battery, heat management, performance, efficiency
Yeah, don’t buy intel
Did you buy ultra 5 125h variant?
Recently got the same version. Is your keyboard also getting warm very easily?
