He also said he wasn't interested in Rogue that way in X1 basically, and X3 he said he was her friend. Just because he doesn't want her labeling him like a parent, doesn't mean automatically he's interested in her romantically. He calls her "kid".
I love this scene and their friendship so much. Logan says in X3 that he's her friend, not her father but he does protect her in a father-type/guardian style.
that is probably the most badass, most heroic thing Logan has ever done. Willing to sacrifice himself to save someone else. That's a real fucking hero.
I always loved the wolverine and rogue relationship in the first movie. I know in the comics they had more of actual love relationship, but the lone wolverine caring for her like his own daughter was endearing. Now we get that same thing in Logan. Ol Wolverine never got the love but he was an ol softy for the sweet peas. He would have been a great dad.
it seems as though Logan is alot more like a second father or an older brother to Marie. He's clearly protective of her, and feels obligated to take care of her, but not in a romantic way.
+KaraLVRogueLZ my god the ship doesn't work OK just like wolverine and Jean grey doesn't work both are kinda creepy when you think about it he's older than 100 and Jean is like 36 and rogue is like 20 something cmon
No other X-Men movie had a scene with this much emotion put into it. Not when Jean drowns in X2, not when Logan has to kill her in X3, not when Logan find Kayla's body or when she dies in X-Men origins, not when Erik's mother is killed in X-Men First Class, not Logan's flashbacks in The Wolverine, not Charles' depression in Days of Future past and not when Erik's wife and daughter are killed in Apocalypse. We're those scenes sad? Yes, but they just somehow did not compare to this.
no way! she suits Bobby way more. wolverine and Jean suited each other. wish this tune was used more in the third film. Rogue is like a daughter/granddaughter to him.
Oh and gambit! No one can beat him! I love the music and scene but he looks too old for her lol AND ifjean had been here it'd be nicer. Even if it was gambit lol
No it wasn't Iron Man was thats why its referred to as the first film in the MCU This film was one of many to jump start the popularity of superheroes once again.
+Rogue849 I don't know if Rogue could fly in the comic books, but she could in the cartoon. I think this would have been a good time you introduce her flight abilities, after this Magneto experiment.
I'm remembering hearing how after this, Rogue starts acting like Logan for a brief amount of time, which gives me the mental image of her hitting on Jean Grey while smoking cigars in Cerebro.
Doctor Bane Haha would have been funny but I think the more realistic thing shed do is piss off Cyclops and get angry pretty quickly even threatening to touch some people as she does in X2 when Magneto says "We love what youve done with your hair" to her
Watched Logan today and just the connection between Logan and Laura reminded me of these two so much and god I'm going to miss Hugh Jackman as Wolverine so fucking much *proceeds to curl up and cry*
To me, a romantic involvement would have cheapened the relationship Logan and Marie had in the movies. An innocent crush on Rogue's part was far enough.
None of the X-Men movies after the first ever felt like they had the same amount of depth after the 1st one. I love the six main films but the 1st one is really special because it asks more of it's audience to believe in this prejudice world and have it's protagonists overcome it.
I feel like the new X-Men movie, Logan, by far has the most depth, but it's a completely different type of scenario because the film is about tragedy. I love the first X-Men movie though.
To be fair that line was included in a movie made with a different director than the other ones. I'm pretty sure people wanted to Gambit and Rogue more than Rogue and Logan.
Well it's a fact that Logan is the end for him, and comic wise Wolverine has always been a pimp and had multiple romances but the long lasting 3 were Jean, Mariko, and Storm. However for the movies I feel like Rogue and Wolverin'es relationship is more like his and Kitty Pryde's from the comics. for those that only saw the old cartoon tihkn Wolverine and Jubilee. Just a fun side fact did you know that Wolverine is Deadpool's best friend.
I always thought this scene was the starting point between them. It's not like she could kill him, he heals faster than she absorbs, given that he survived it.
When Jean mentions to Logan at the end of this movie that Rogue probably has a crush him remember that he replies "Well you can tell her that my heart belongs to someone else". The one that he lusts and falls IN LOVE WITH is Jean. Any love for Rogue is the kind of love we feel for family or close friends. Not the same.
Sorry but this is a father figure NOT a romantic one. Music is so stunning. whoever made it is fantastic. I wish they used it more :(( Rogue is made for gambit and vice versa
Yeah the music is sunning u took the words out of my mouth. Fits perfect at that moment. I think it's amazing other people feel the same way about the scene.
This is when Logan became a hero, he cast aside Weapon X and became Wolverine. This was what made him human and is the perfect place to begin his journey from X2 to X3, and finally ending on Logan
Logan regarded her as someone lost, lost like he was when young. That's why he did not leave her alone and decide to be her friend. Unlike his early years and life mostly alone...
Ah That music ... listened to it during the time my crush said she want us to be just friends and not anything more ... this music just captures that feeling
What is the song called? I've found myself whistling it, or humming it in the morning. I know it's wolverine, X-Men movies...but this exact song, or theme.
It seems that Wolverine and Rogue have had a father/daughter/brother/sister relationship since this movie was released, look at their relationship in X-Men Evolution, it’s almost the exact same thing there as well
wolverine and rogue should just be together. It won't work with him and Jean. I know wolverine is the only one that can physically handle jean. But Jean is meh. Give her to cyclops.
+imperio Guzman she could literally grow to look as old as him. And if she absorbs his healing factor every so often, he would technically be a fountain of youth for her.
Eh, but he calls her "kid", comforts her like you would a kid, and Jean basically said Rogue had a crush on him. He doesn't see Rogue that way. Not in the movies.
Why doesn't Rogue fly in the movies? I still like the Xmen movies but i only wish we could see more of Rogue helping the team. Her powers are very useful like.I hope she's in the next movie if its set in the 90s timeline.
I don't ship them, but I do love their connection. When Logan is with Rogue, we get to see a more fatherly/older brotherly side to him. It's amazing.
+KaraLVRogueLZ ok gee he said something about a brotherly way too
***** yes
He also said he wasn't interested in Rogue that way in X1 basically, and X3 he said he was her friend. Just because he doesn't want her labeling him like a parent, doesn't mean automatically he's interested in her romantically. He calls her "kid".
SPNOUAT ooh go watch some old movies. Men call women 'kid' in those all the time, then they date them. Lol
AndreinneLawrence I totally ship it🐇
I love this scene and their friendship so much. Logan says in X3 that he's her friend, not her father but he does protect her in a father-type/guardian style.
Behold Wolverine as a father figure. All the scenes with him and Rogue are like this and I love it!
I do too. And the music is stunning
Kathmandu Kids i
that is probably the most badass, most heroic thing Logan has ever done. Willing to sacrifice himself to save someone else. That's a real fucking hero.
Oh please, he knew he was gonna brb
Thomas Baron
Didn't he do this in every movie
He did it in the movie, Logan, for his daughter, but then he actually ended up dying forrealz.
Force Gaming, no he didn't do something like this in every movie.
InvictuZ, he didn't know he was going to live. Rogue is one of the few characters who can actually kill him if he holds on too long.
These two have some of the best on-screen chemistry i have ever seen.
Love them both 😍😍😍 I love the connection between them
+Joe Suchy d
Father and daughter style
Why did Michael Kamen have to die. His soundtrack is in my opinion the most outstanding of all the x-men soundtracks.
Junior Junior what's the "song" called?
Logan & rogue - michael kamen
firetopman thank you
Logan Holds Rogue
Kamen's score for the first one is really under appreciated. It's sad that the producers didn't give him full creative control over the score.
Still my favorite scene from all X-Men movies. The music really makes you feel the emotions.
Tomi Määttä 00
Such a great scene... can’t stop going back to it.
If anything it is one of the BEST scenes in the whole movie series next to his final scene with Laura in "Logan"
I love how Logan's the tough *I go my own way* kind of guy, but is so willing to give of himself when he needs to... Like with Rogue here
I always loved the wolverine and rogue relationship in the first movie. I know in the comics they had more of actual love relationship, but the lone wolverine caring for her like his own daughter was endearing. Now we get that same thing in Logan. Ol Wolverine never got the love but he was an ol softy for the sweet peas. He would have been a great dad.
The struggle is real. Bruh tries to help a lady out and she drains him dry.
Praxiale The struggle is real. Bruh tries to make a joke on youtube and is taken too seriously.
XD AHHAHHAHHAH YOU CRACK ME UP MAH NIGGA XD
everytime bro...everytime...ask adam its in her nature to destroy him.
Hahaha! Perfect joke! Too funny!
funny thing is nobody is joking..............
God this scene is just... god... Hugh Jackman is SUCH a good actor, and the music in the scene was just perfect, my god.
This pairing is my fave, I love Rougue.
it seems as though Logan is alot more like a second father or an older brother to Marie.
***** only in movies
No other X-Men movie had a scene with this much emotion put into it. Not when Jean drowns in X2, not when Logan has to kill her in X3, not when Logan find Kayla's body or when she dies in X-Men origins, not when Erik's mother is killed in X-Men First Class, not Logan's flashbacks in The Wolverine, not Charles' depression in Days of Future past and not when Erik's wife and daughter are killed in Apocalypse. We're those scenes sad? Yes, but they just somehow did not compare to this.
LOGAN might top this!
the new x-men trilogy might top this
watch Logan.
Lilith Silveira
Logan..
Lilith Silveira Watch logan.
When Logan cries it makes me cry too. He has so much emotion!!
Honestly I miss the original xmen cast so much
Me too. The original cast is irreplaceable
Rouge and Wolverine are like father and daughter
+KaraLVRogueLZ he did watch the same movie
+KaraLVRogueLZ he is only to old for rogue
+KaraLVRogueLZ no he is a hundred plus yrs old he just doesn't age, he has been in dog fights with bi planes
+KaraLVRogueLZ rogue Is younger then them also logan is old but that doesn't mean his state of mind is to
+KaraLVRogueLZ that doesn't mean she is older mentally
This scene feels so nostalgic
Yea I was 5 in the theaters when this came out
Awesome soundtrack, made this scene!
They're so perfect for each other! :')
no way! she suits Bobby way more. wolverine and Jean suited each other. wish this tune was used more in the third film. Rogue is like a daughter/granddaughter to him.
Oh and gambit! No one can beat him! I love the music and scene but he looks too old for her lol AND ifjean had been here it'd be nicer. Even if it was gambit lol
+Coco Pops No one can beat Gambit? Tell me more about Wolverine whoop his ass on X-Men origins: The Wolverine
So true. Just need the writer see it too
+Fernanda Totally:'D
Now remember kids... IT WAS THIS MOVIE THAT JUMP STARTED THE MCU! :D
No it wasn't Iron Man was thats why its referred to as the first film in the MCU
This film was one of many to jump start the popularity of superheroes once again.
Thunbs up if you think that during Logan, Laura reminded him of Rogue.
so true
Connor Brennan "People I love die" yeah probably.
Connor Brennan you are rigth. He thinks of Rouge deepy.
And really rogue was like a daughter figure to him
I can't imagine what he must have been feeling when she died after the Mansion Incident, that must have destroyed him completely
This scene is even more powerful after watching Logan.
I know how wolverine felt when rogue was draining him... thats how I feel every year on my birthday... -_-
why? You don't like getting older?
girl i feel the exact same :(
be grateful that it's not worse. I've had people died both on and days after my birthday. you almost forget about the aging part.
Right? I hate my birthday I miss being the age I was growing up stinks
Anna Paquin as Rogue was one of the best original cast there was.
In my opinion in the first and second movie they were pushing the idea of Logan Rogue romance and getting together
She needs to absorb our healing factor through skin contact.
DP: Rogue, we need to suck face like there is no tomorrow!
+James Marshall (*slaps him*) "It's ok, I'll be gentle" (or something like that)
+Rogue849 I don't know if Rogue could fly in the comic books, but she could in the cartoon. I think this would have been a good time you introduce her flight abilities, after this Magneto experiment.
+James Marshall ikr dumb ass fox
she absorbs one's skills, and knowledge via skin-on-skin contact, so if she touched the right Mutant, she probably could!
Now that's what I call a kiss, sugar. LOL
I'm remembering hearing how after this, Rogue starts acting like Logan for a brief amount of time, which gives me the mental image of her hitting on Jean Grey while smoking cigars in Cerebro.
Doctor Bane Haha would have been funny but I think the more realistic thing shed do is piss off Cyclops and get angry pretty quickly even threatening to touch some people as she does in X2 when Magneto says "We love what youve done with your hair" to her
Perhaps.
The soundtrack was epic
Only Hugh! Only our dearest Hugh could play this so deeply! What a true man! Wonderful lovely best ever #HughJackman !!! 😍😍😍❤❤
Watched Logan today and just the connection between Logan and Laura reminded me of these two so much and god I'm going to miss Hugh Jackman as Wolverine so fucking much *proceeds to curl up and cry*

He even said to her I'm not your father I'm your friend.
To be fair that line was included in a movie made with a different director than the other ones.
I'm pretty sure people wanted to Gambit and Rogue more than Rogue and Logan.
+KaraLVRogueLZ Why not ?
+KaraLVRogueLZ
-_- really
Wolverine and Rogue won't happen. Wolverine and Storm kissed and I read somewhere that Hugh might retire soon.
Rogue's parents disowned her remember.
This is why I ship them so damn hard
Every hero movie I've seen has a sorrowful moment like this, even after the bad guy has been defeated.
I love the father like daughter relationship they have 😩
Incredible scene ... the will to give your live for a loved one !!!
I always thought this scene was the starting point between them.
It's not like she could kill him, he heals faster than she absorbs, given that he survived it.
I love this scene so much!!
It's funny, My name is Rogue and my brother named me (it's weird) after the Xmen character so.... I have major street cred at school
I knew a dude named Storm. Also a dude with last name as Howlet. Pretty cool stuff.
This is when it began
I think Wolverine views Rogue like a daughter figure. if they ever bring X-23 into the movies maybe that would change.
They brought X-23 into the movies in 'Logan' :D
Hugh Jackman has come along way since this film
I love the xmen series. wish Rogue had her other powers.
It's so touching. Why would people comment they are like father/daughter relationship. They are in love but they just don't know yet
Who cares about other shipper haters, Rogan all the way for me.
what you gotta say now huh
anime4good ship haters? Logan is like 200, Rogue was like 16
When Jean mentions to Logan at the end of this movie that Rogue probably has a crush him remember that he replies "Well you can tell her that my heart belongs to someone else". The one that he lusts and falls IN LOVE WITH is Jean. Any love for Rogue is the kind of love we feel for family or close friends. Not the same.
i hope we will see rogue again in the next xmen movies,
Wolverine:fuck dont die ,i can die
Rogue:pls dont i can
Wolverine:no you stay, i can
I grew up on these movies and I always thought wolverine and rogue would end up together. I never understood the stupid love triangles they had
Some Dads wouldn't even do this sacrifice for their own Childs. What a real Man. Shame on Magneto!!!
The most romantic scene! I love this couple!
Fabiola Santiago troll
Wolverine! My second favorite anti-hero in the MCU, with Frank Castle being 1st. Love the, both.
Sorry but this is a father figure NOT a romantic one. Music is so stunning. whoever made it is fantastic. I wish they used it more :((
Rogue is made for gambit and vice versa
Yeah the music is sunning u took the words out of my mouth. Fits perfect at that moment. I think it's amazing other people feel the same way about the scene.
Stunning
You can't beat good theme music! It never gets old. I keep replaying lol
I hope a moment, like this, is in Logan.
This is when Logan became a hero, he cast aside Weapon X and became Wolverine. This was what made him human and is the perfect place to begin his journey from X2 to X3, and finally ending on Logan
I ship them so bad any ship names?
+Natasha Romanoff Its called "Rogan"
+TXNICK96 thank you!!!!!!
I cry everytime I watch this. Maybe 'cause I would have done the same as Logan
Logan regarded her as someone lost, lost like he was when young. That's why he did not leave her alone and decide to be her friend. Unlike his early years and life mostly alone...
this is one of my favorite scenes if not the best 👍🏼
Imagine this song playing during Logan death as he slowly fades away. Would be heartbroken as a motherfucker
wolverine+rogue=best love story.
When statutory is on the table so you only hug. LMAO. Love this scene though, the emotional impact had me.
Ah That music ... listened to it during the time my crush said she want us to be just friends and not anything more ... this music just captures that feeling
wolvie, you big softy! I think you are pretty cool 😍
What is the song called? I've found myself whistling it, or humming it in the morning. I know it's wolverine, X-Men movies...but this exact song, or theme.
Sugar Bean Michael Kamen
"Logan holds Rouge".
It seems that Wolverine and Rogue have had a father/daughter/brother/sister relationship since this movie was released, look at their relationship in X-Men Evolution, it’s almost the exact same thing there as well
This is the movie that kickstarted the modern superhero genre.
wolverine and rogue should just be together. It won't work with him and Jean. I know wolverine is the only one that can physically handle jean. But Jean is meh. Give her to cyclops.
I hope that neither feel attraction to each other and she is very, very young to him
+imperio Guzman she could literally grow to look as old as him.
And if she absorbs his healing factor every so often, he would technically be a fountain of youth for her.
TXNICK96 partly because it is good for her
*****yes , that is what I said, also not only that couple would look "weird" but it could be taken as a pedophile by wolverine
not directly not to make bad couple said , I'm just saying that for the simple fact noted some chemistry in this pair does not mean that this "good"
Eh, but he calls her "kid", comforts her like you would a kid, and Jean basically said Rogue had a crush on him. He doesn't see Rogue that way. Not in the movies.
The music give me chills to this day
One of the saddest scenes in the X-Men series.
The music in this scene is amazing
it would've worked faster if he kissed her
+luciusanddraco So true! I wish
They're a father like figure and daughter like figure duo to each other, though. He saw her as though she were his own daughter.
If Bryan wants a Father/Daughter relationship, he would have cast someone older.
You said it man!
Same here. The whole movie works because of their relationship and not Logan/Jean or Rogue/Bobby. Only Logan and Marie.
Rogue, Laura and Charles the only people that Logan felt fond
Proof that Aussies & Kiwis can get along
0:55 me when I realize I ate something I didn't know I was allergic to
This is the reason why logan is not just an animal his a hero.....even thou he is too old as shit he is still badaas
Sin duda, Jugh, the best Wolverine Forever
he brought her back to life yooo
I’m happy Hugh jackman is returning as Logan
logan hates everyone and here he is dying for marie
....I ship it
Alguien puede subir la pelicula completa?
It will always be rogue and volverine for me
Otp.
Yes, that was me too
0:59 So this is what it feels like.
he feels responsable of her, because he is the person who founded (at the beginning). Nothing more, guys
I ship ❣
Why doesn't Rogue fly in the movies? I still like the Xmen movies but i only wish we could see more of Rogue helping the team. Her powers are very useful like.I hope she's in the next movie if its set in the 90s timeline.
she could fly after she got her power from miss marvel
Rest in piece Logan
1:01 Cuando sólo la vas a abrazar y de repente te comienza a comer el magunbo :'v
So this is what it feels like
:(
The tatoo'blood is of sabretooth in fight
Plot twist: when wolverine healed himself he aksed rouges hand.
I like x man all part and volvrin
Love Scene
Awsome part
Just wanna clarify to everyone who said they were in love no Wolverine is in his early hundreds she is in her mid teens
Hes about 160-170 in this movie
When he dies he's like 196 i tthink
INFAMOUS Tyler Stanley Logan is 197* Charles is 97 when they die
Pablo Gonzalez thanks
INFAMOUS Tyler Stanley no problem
ALMOST as epic as me! ='(
I bet Hannah paquin cried so hard when she watched Logan die in his last film
