i would say a minimum of 85% tungsten gets you a good quality dart and basic grip if that's what you need. I use 90% tungsten with a basic ring low grip as it suits my style. £20 they cost me. I've also got more expensive darts and can't play as well with them
You should do something about the mixing of your sound in the videos. You could record better sound with many mobile phones than you sometimes have 😉 And the exposure is unfortunately not always as good as it could be. Apart from that, I always enjoy watching your videos because you two harmonise well...👍😎🎯
End of the day...... If you can "consistently" hit 14,15,16 dart leg's with an 80% tungsten dart....... Then that is YOUR dart & setup. When your hand/arm /eye coordination is spot on and your dart's are Consistently hitting 14,15 & 16 dart leg's. There is NO NEED to change to more expensive dart. Unless your wanting your $100 darts to go AWOL during a match 🎯🎯🏴👍👍😁
I always hear people in my local pub league talk about their cheap darts that they’ve had for 20 years and that’s definitely part of the reason they haven’t won the pub league before and I beat them every time because they’re too stubborn or cheap to actually try and experiment with different style of darts which would suit their throw a lot more. But then again what do I know I’m only an amateur myself 😅
I have your Darts Corner Gallant M3's with sniper points and force 90 flights. I love the M3 but am thinking of getting the Winmau Sabotage as I need the grip. Any chance you can make a Gallant M3 razor grip for the same price as the standard M3's? I love the force 90's but they get immediate paper cut type slits when colliding with another dart. Probably why Shot darts did the reinforced ridge on the flight. And the mission sniper points fit perfectly upto the Gallant M3 leaving absolutely no ridge between the flute of the point and the start of the barrel.
Whats the difference between a 90% tungsten dart like the mission chiron thats priced at about £40 compared to a 90% tungsten dart like the mission hexon at £80?.
@@missiondarts oh yeah thats fine , just seemed to go very quiet all of a sudden . Yes you both deserve a well deserved holiday from all the good content this last year!! 👍
@@missiondarts okay, I should have qualified better. I suppose if you were using plastic darts you could improve performance with a cheap set of tungsten. I guess my point is that there's no shortcut in any endeavor
Ten Pin Bowling - You need your own ball to get any kind of consistency and to actually be able to hook the ball. Tennis - Change the specs and the racket plays totally different.
Agreed about doubles 100% but you can definitely feel a difference with a cheap set of darts. I remember using a darts clearance dart which were 15 quid I’d only being playing for 4 months and I hit 4 180s in about 15 minutes but ultimately now 18 months in if I tried using them instead of my regular high end dart I’d be 10-20% worse off I reckon but at that time I didn’t know any better
This was hard to watch. Good thing they atleast came around in the end. But don't talk about premium shafts, geez!
I think a fairer test is the same style dart but premium vs budget

Throw what you feel comfortable with, it’s simple! You can always make them look good 😅

Yep we are well aware and it has been addressed now as we are employing someone to take care of this, thanks

With the type of practice it would take to get that good I'd think you'd be wearing out 80% darts regularly.
Great comment

Tell you what if a set of darts gave me an average of over about 41 I would buy them even if they were £200!

more machine time for the extra cuts, colour etc
How to find the correct weight of dart for you?
A precision fitting, or trial and error, there are no hard and fast rules I am afraid

Don’t worry everyone I’m only about £8000 in for darts over last 3 years 😂 and I haven’t thrown 83 sets of them haha

I hope Matt is getting Extra Practice in for next week's Modus..

Interesting
Expensive or pretty Darts doesn’t win tournaments……
not a nice trow and you have a hop in it .
you let go the dart half way in your trow
?
Sorry but it is NOT
Why has the content dried up significantly since the last month, now its a couple of videos a month instead of a week.
Everyone deserves a holiday and the darts world is quiet at this time of year…expect something big end of August !!!

I'll bet the expensive ones are the exact same weight.

I can't think of any sport/game where one can buy better performance through equipment alone.

@@JH-Wood but does that ball or racket need to be expensive? Pretty sure Carlos Alcaraz is beating us both, regardless of equipment.
Darts for 95% of players is all about doubles, and you can still hit doubles with cheap darts, don’t waste your money
