For all the confused people:
Storm Arrow’s Ricochet is relatively new, as it was part of an experimental update (if I remember correctly, I think that’s what they’re called and when it was added) which basically gives a bunch of changes to see how people respond after testing them

@@mr.moonly yes, but later they put it in a normal experimental and then into the game
I’m fairly certain they did that day one, it was one of his OW2 changes.
My Advice is that If Zarya announces her ult, 99% of the time she's looking for a Grav Dragon. Just throw your Dragon into her Ultimate and Zarya will be happy 😊.
I’m always amazed when someone someone actually uses their ult in sync with me, whether I’m Zaria or they are, always puts a smile on my face

Another tip: You can use his Ult as area denial in the cases you’re about to win. Even if the opponent can avoid it, they’ll be unable to touch the objective without dying.

A hanzo defending on Gibraltar used ult from his last spawn, needless to say, none of us saw the dragon coming out of the ground. Kinda obvious as a good ult spot in hindsight.

Good tips! I'm the hanzo main you see on most of these shorts. One tip I'd like to add is Not using sonic arrow to get a clear line of sight of the enemy for dragonstrike, it makes it easier to get good value out of his ult. Or you can time it with another hero's ult to create a trap. I.e deadeye, and dragonstriking nearby cover.
Good ideas!
Also don't forget that sonar dart does the same amount of damage as a normal max charge arrow without needing to be charged. This can be used as a finisher on enemies that get too close
You can also ricochet his Sonic Arrow by activating it right before his storm arrow. It will make the first storm arrow a sonic arrow that you can ricochet for low risk vision.

I've been saying that I like the old Hanzo ability "Scatter Arrow" from Overwatch 1 because it can ricochet 5 arrows, and with a right angle you can shotgun it if there's an enemy close to you, it can even 1 shot tank with that play. But I didn't know that it "Storm Arrows" can ricochet too.
People HATED getting one shot by scatter arrow lol

I use his ult when the enemy team retreats or is starting to retreat so they're either forced to flank, or push forward
I always love when I’m coming out of spawn and hear hanzo shoot his ult and I sit in the middle of the road and wait to see what building it comes through

I have done this and almost a solo team wipe in early overwatch 1
Also before you ult use sonic arrow to see through walls what general direction you should do
One of the best things to do with coms w Hanzo is to cut off their exit point and allow your team to push them into it or they have a high chance to end up dying to it
Widow make and Hanoi alt combined would be op because ha so will know where to shoot the dragon

Well now the voice-line about simple geometry makes a lot of sense
Using storm arrows for ricochets is a waste of time 99% of the time because ow almost never has completely flat walls and ground making any predictions useless.
The storm arrows are really good, when an enemy is realy close to Hanzo. But maaan, scatter arrow was better.
Dragon is good against genji blade bc u can dragon ur team and the genji will either die or just have to wait it out

Does the ricochet have some sort of tracking? Idk it just looks like they shouldn’t have hit those people in some of the clips
All projectiles have a weird way of looking like that. Not sure 100% why, but probably an animation/lag thing. No tracking’

idk if this would make hanzo broken or not but i feel like he should have an ability to charge his storm arrows like zenyatta and fire them all simultaneously, he’s a master archer he should be able to shoot multiple arrows at once, i just don’t know how broken it would be maybe it’s a little too far fetched.
but then again u have characters like ramattra with an infinite ult, hog that takes 0 skill, doom fist, and a bunch of other characters that r completely unbalanced so i think it’s fair game.

The best way to use dragon strike is to flank behind the whole team undetected and then theres an easy team wipe 😂

Since when have storm arrows bounced I know there was a thing that did that before but the storm arrows?
Before hanzo rework he had the Scatter Arrow, that was an arrow that could split into other 6 arrows that could bounce on wall and other surfaces, after they reworked him, they removed Scatter and added his Double Jump and his Storm Arrows, they didn't bounce back at that time, they added the bounce "effect" almost one year ago
